Kathy Wakile Sets The Record Straight!
RHONJ star Kathy Wakile responds to the recent accusations that have been hitting the tabloids on her Bravo blog! Kathy also discusses the other side of Richie!
Kathy says, “I am going to briefly address this week’s installment of texts, lies, and videotapes! There’s so much out there that needs to be clear, and I feel I can do that with integrity and without having to hurt anyone in the process. Having said that, I know there will be times I will have to bite my tongue and allow the nonsense to just play out in the tabloids! Jacqueline said it best in her interview (and I couldn’t agree more) when she said, “How they get their money is their business.” But I need to set the record straight in words that are truly my own. I never asked my cousin how many times she goes to the mall. That is simply untrue. I would never judge a family member, friend, or any other person in that way. The only checkbook I want to balance is my own! End of story! I want to focus on more important things.
More fun times down at the Jersey shore. Whenever there’s a big group like that we have tons of laughs and we party like rock stars! Many of you asked me last week about the cocktails we were drinking and if I have any good drink recipes. We were drinking Red Velvet Cosmo of course during my shore house party. I will add some serving suggestions at the end of my blog. Make a note of them so you can try it!
On a similar sweet note, I would also like to acknowledge my husband. I am very proud of him, and I am so glad the viewers all got to see yet another side of Rich. It’s that exceptional part of him that is a good listener and a great friend who is deeply devoted to family. Communication, that’s a key ingredient in any healthy relationship, and that’s one of the biggest reasons I love Rich so much. Rich and my cousin Joey share a special brotherhood that is so wonderful to see. If there was any doubt about how fully committed Joey was to reconciling with Teresa just take a look at his face! It does not get any more real than that. It’s a big step for him and definitely out of his comfort zone. It takes a secure person to admit that he may have contributed to the condition of their relationship. It would have been wonderful to know that Teresa was just as committed and would agree to go to therapy just because her brother asked her, even if she doesn’t think she needs it herself. What other reason would anyone need? Let’s just hope for the best.
Speaking of the best, I am going to try to put into words how I feel about Jamie and Rich’s wedding, and that’s a tall order. It was a magnificent celebration of love from beginning to end! Caroline’s speech was so touching and such a perfect part of this commemoration of devotion and caring. There was no shortage of support and affection among those gathered that day. We wish Jamie and Rich continued peace and happiness and send our thanks for inviting us into your home and sharing your beautiful day with us. When you witness such commitment and caring, it’s clear that the world is still a beautiful place.”
I’m really digging Kathy this season. I think she has a fun and cute personality and tries her best to stay out of the drama! Thoughts on what Kathy had to say?!

I really can’t stand Kathy and her husband. She’s just another famewhore +1 in this cast — and she’s pretty adept at the two-faced routine. In the ‘In Touch’ article, I thought I’d read that Teresa said that her cousin and cousin’s husband asked her about going to the mall. So, while Kathy may not have said that — did Richie?
I agree! Kathy’s husband is a total dirt bag. What he said to women on Twitter and then erased was disgusting and very distrubing. He thinks people didn’t take screen shots or see what he said? Richie lacks integrity.
As for comments about going to the mall. I totally believe either Kathy or Richie said it as a joke. They likely don’t remember because Richie says something to Teresa every second of the day. I saw the comments about the boat being repoed, so Kathy needs to put a lid on it. She and her husband do make comments regarding money to Teresa all the time.
I agree! They need to be quiet. Kathy isn’t so bad sometimes, but she’s still so passive aggressive, and she never shuts her husband up! If my bf kept raggin’ on my cousin ALL THE TIME, I would tell him to be quiet and quit over analyzing every little thing she does because it’s her business. Kathy’s husband is a DICK though! He really is! If I remember correctly, didn’t he tell JoeHo to “make it look like you’re trying” so what, he can come out the good guy? I’m not buyin’ their BS drama, loving the cameras, will say anything to look good on camera bull.

You are absolutely right! Who in the word tells someone make sure that you send a text and a 3rd party says make it look good. It looked like a set-up and Joey Gorga is too stupid to understand what to do.
Boat repoed? I’m so far behind!Teresa addresses the mall comments in her latest blog. She said that Richie used to kid her about going to the mall all the time, which I remember Teresa saying on the show, last season. So, once again, Kathy has twisted and spun. She’s so disingenuous.
Kathie does the same thing Teresa does: defends her husband and stands by him even when he acts vile and says ugly things — they both want people to understand their husband’s sense of humor. Kathie could probably be a nice person w/out influence of the other HWs, but you are NOT a nice person when you say ugly things publicly about family members whether true or not — and then talk about the other person’ lack of loyalty. The same thing has happened to ALL of these people: they really think they are “stars” of a show and celebrities, and have lost a true sense of reality: it’s not just Teresa as they want everyone to believe.
I think Kathy forgets we can actually see the show and have from day one. The number of money digs, insults, swear words, “burn Teresa at the stake” comments by Kathy and Richie are too many to count. I hate it in their blogs when they pretend they don’t bad mouth Teresa after we just saw it. Also, if Joe-hoe Gorga so wanted to be there for his sister and Gia, why did he blow off Gia’s Birthday Party he was invited to in February…oh, right, Bravo wasn’t filming that day. Keep tap dancing Kathy but the viewers are not falling for your song and dance!
sorry Roxie have to disagree. I would like Kathy a whole lot more if she would acknowledge that she and Melissa blindsided Teresa and that their motives for coming on the show were purely for their own gain at the expense of Teresa. Til she does that, I couldn’t care less what she thinks, and I certainly won’t be a member of her fan club.
How she can praise that slimy, two faced husband of hers is a mystery to me, but he should thank his lucky stars that he found a woman that he can fool so completely. Hopefully she will re-watch his behavior and her own and see just how sneaky and underhanded they BOTH are
I agree with you,Cammie 100%. It really seems to me this season, Kathy and Melissa both are more arrogant. They really thought they were going to be the “New Stars” … it backfired on them.

ToT, I disagree, she is more responsible, she is Teresa’s blood relative and grew up with her like sisters. Melissa is nothing to her except her brother’s wife. She should have Teresa’s back like no one else, her silence is more damning in my opinion. Miss “I am so above it all”, makes me want to puke.

I kind of feel that Kathy is worse than Melissa in a way because she hides behind a nice facade. I don’t know I just feel like she is hiding something. Also I do not believe for one second that that is the first time Rosie came out to the children. I think it was a great scene where they discussed it openly but those kids knew for a long time. Rich planned that scene specifically so they could later blame it on Teresa when she declines and he pretty much admitted it.

SGee, I think so too! Her little stay behind the scenes act sometimes is bull shizz. And you know what? This magazine crap is for the birds, the one that just popped up. Tabloids may add a tiny fraction of Teresa’s words and fill in their own blanks to sell a story. At some point, the other ladies said those things on national tv and or the Renuion show, Teresa didn’t have to add words to those fugly caption pics. Just last week was it not Jac who tweeted that tabloids lie??? Haven’t they all said their share of blaming lies and rumors, don’t believe it, etc.. S why do they all believe that teresa wrote that crap article? Crazy hens.

Kathy is a phony. Both her and JoGo went on National TV to trash a blood member of their family. They were Judas’s from the first episode. I don’t care how they try and spin that’s the truth. Kathy uses her husband who should mind his own business and plays sweet and innocent.

Teresa is their blood—never should they have went on National TV and do what they are doing.

I had the same feeling about Kathy. I loved what she did with Gia. I was never against her. I thought Kathy was harmless and she made great desserts, but this just demonstrates how bias Kathy really is.
Plus her husband needs to be under house arrest. He goes after fans. He says he takes the high road, but starts calling people out about their looks and saying horrible statements. That to me lacks integrity, then he erases his tweets when he gets backlash from even other pseudo-celebrities.

I would surmise that neither Melissa or Kathy ever watched Judge Judy, who sagely asserts that if you tell the truth, you do not have to have a good memory.
Kathy’s “storyline” — that of her cousin drama — is so damn weak and boring. I was hoping for more footage/scenes about her baking, hopefully, growing it into a really nice business for herself and family. That would have been very interesting to me and would have engendered my support to see her succeed.
Why is she even on TV? Tre didn’t have a more interesting cousin? I just don’t see why she is even on the show. The things is she doesn’t care about Tre and her hisbnd is rude and his so called jokes are really mean. She just comes off as fake to me. I find it very strange how all their personality up and changed after S3, but they filmed them back to back and only took a 2 mth break. They let fame go to their head why to quickly. Good news reality shows don’t last forever they will soon fade a way like most of the other housewives from the past (Lynn Lisa deshawn the whole DC cast LOL)
I think T probably does have more interesting family members, they just weren’t willing to stab her in the back.

I want to like Kathy, I really do. But I think she is so confused, she’s not sure what to do. What she says comes off really well on paper, but from what we see of her on the show and in interviews, it’s the opposite. She’s trying so hard to “fix” her relationship with her cousin, but she’s also trying to stay in cahoots with Melissa. Unfortunately, in this case, you can’t play both sides of the coin.
I would really like to see her and Teresa (the hell with Melissa) sit down and just have it out. Talk about her coming on the show beind Teresa’s back and get it all out. But they need to put it ALL out there. In the end, if they can agree to disagree and move on, then fine.

I know. In S3, that exchange with their account was beyond disgusting. Kathy needs to remember her own statements otherwise Kathy is a habitual liar.
I have not forgotten Kathy and Richie’s dinner with the accountants where they got into the nitty-gritty of the bankruptcy – filmed for Bravo. That pretty much invalidates any of her defense that she doesn’t go there. She did, she did it on Bravo on television.
Maybe the Wakile’s should have asked about themselves instead of Teresa.

I read a little story about Rich’s business.
(someone name Mel posted this on another site)
Rich owns a business called Wakile and Sons. Rich wrote not 1 or 2 or 3 but 4 NSF checks totaling over $100K (which is actually a FEDERAL CRIME and has penalties of up to 10 years in prison)
After the NSF checks were written, the business that Rich’s company wrote the bad checks to recieved 4 letters from the Wakile and Sons “bank” stating that all 4 checks were bank errors and not the fault of Wakile and Sons.
Exxon Mobile is not stupid and they phoned the bank. The bank said that they never sent such a letter and a representative of Wakile and Sons ended up admitting to forging the letters. (impersonation with the intent to commit fraud would also be illegal right??)
Rich’s company Wakile and Sons as well as a representative of the company were sued in 2009 by Exxon Mobile. (there was no mention of the outcome)
Wakile and Sons also have 3 open judgements against them in Hudson and Passaic County.

6/1/2009 LEAF FUNDING INC for $69K
3/2/2011 BANK OF AMERICA for $37K.

I love Kathy and her entire family. This is what I want to see on this show: a loving, interesting, funny and REAL family where everyone obviously both likes and loves each other. When Kathy and her family gets together with the Gorgas it’s always a great time and a joy to see. Richie is hysterical and so is Joey – Joey’s impression of Giudice (at the Bravo site) had me on the floor.
For all of Teresa’s talk about jealousy, the one thing on this show I can see worth being jealous of it’s the closeness of these two families.
Glad you like her, but that does not excuse the fact that Kathy and her husband joined a television show to hurt, damage, destroy and bad mouth their cousin, aunt and uncle and four little girls. They knew exactly what they were doing, along with Melissa and Joe, that it would hurt their own family, but they did anyway with eyes wide open for their own fame and the almighty dollar. Kathy has some good qualities, but since I regard myself as a person who values the honor and loyalty of my Italian family, Kathy’s actions in this regard are pretty despicable and I do not give her a free pass. Even Kathy’s own mother saw this and told Kathy, Joe, Rich and Melissa to stop insulting and hurting their own family when they refused to stop insulting Teresa. By the way, have you ever heard Kathy or Melissa show any gratitude or thanks to Teresa and Joe for their opportunity be on the RHNJ because they would never have been there to begin with without Teresa. um..No

And for the record, I’m two weeks past giving a shit about 1) the Christening, and 2) why Kathy and Melissa joined this show. It’s been two years. Get over it.

kathy and richie can be funny and they are very sweet and great with their kids but that doesn’t give them the right to bash teresa every chance they get. for so called “family” who needs enemies. i don’t buy kathy’s act of wanting to be family again with teresa because she doesn’t invite her to parties and if she does richie is always saying something about it. it’s always ” i’m glad teresa isn’t here”. he acts like she is the one that starts drama. it’s not her it’s the people that want to “confront” her and start the arguments.
I actually don’t dislike Kathy. I personally think she has just gotten herself drawn into something that is not in her character (I could be wrong), which is why she can appear flakey.

Kathy is one of those people that try sit back and appear quiet so people will believe her and think she is not a bad person! I had hope for her with the Gia situation, but it was short-lived. She was hand in hand with The Gorga’s for the takedown and shakedown of the show and Teresa. If she loved her cousin and cared at all like she blabs about here and there, she would have tried to at least end the bashing when she is present, out of respect. Her hubby is fake attention seeking twit, like other women on the show. She will be the first one to make faces, and eye rolls about petty things, that do not matter, well what does she say about their recent partying? Dirty girl hot tubbing, “Unattended” kids running around a pool, and drunks? When she tries to make a point lately and act high and mighty, her words are stuck!! Nothing makes sense if she even gets words out after eye rolling. Kathy- stop sitting in the interview chair for real. Now, we are seeing all of the real sides of these people. Cosign with most everyone here — blood should not betray blood. Especially since for then life of me I cannot fathom what was so horrible between K and T. Did T run over her dog? Kathy is desperately trying to stay relevant, but the truth is she is a non entity who FINALLY has something of a spotlight on her and is trying to hang on like grim death.
Bravo must have two different versionS of this show. I know I have watched every episode from the beginning — good and bad.
I love all the housewives, but This constant thing about Tre always being the victim all the time is total BS. They are all at fault for various issues. I don’t believe for a second that Tre didn’t have any type of feeling about Mel and Kathy being on the show. Joe Guidice is constantly being offensive with his “gay” comments. Joe Gorga is constantly talking about sex. Mel needs to dress more appropriately in most situations (ass hanging out at a family field day event is not okay!). Those are just a few issues. But, whenever Tre or Joe insult people, Tre always says, “It was a joke” it was just “a joke”, “that was funny, right?”. With as many people that constantly stand up for her and her “jokes”, I’m surprised she doesn’t have her own stand-up comedy special on Comedy Central.
I know that the Manzo clan and the Walklies have had issues as well…I am just pointing out the fact that it seems that this site has many more “Team Tre” fans and not many people speak up about her faults.
I do enjoy watching these families, faults and all. I appreciate the fact that they are willing to let us into their lives whether for money and or fame. It lets me forget about my own troubles for a few. They share their lives with us when sometimes it might be easier for them to just quit and not deal with the drama publicly anymore. I thank them one and all for that.
I know that some of you will not like what I said about Tre or that I must be “Team Caro”, but I just wanted a different view point to be thought of.

I don’t agree with what you said but it doesn’t bother me that you say it.
I’m sure I am thought of here and elsewhere as one of the biggest “Team Teresa Zombies” on the internet, and I don’t care. I am not blind to the fact that everything about her doesn’t sparkle like glitter, but she is REAL. She doesn’t put one face on for the camera and another face on for real life. When she makes a mistake, she apologizes. When told that she has hurt someone’s feelings, she apologizes for it, even if she thinks they are being overly dramatic to be hurt. The jokes that Teresa makes about her cast mates are jokes that THEY are in on, and she says them out loud and in their company, not behind their back in a talking head. Maybe you don’t think her jokes are funny, but they aren’t snide or mean and I don’t think you can say that about any of the other women and half the men on the show.
Teresa’s husband might not be politically correct when referring to the LGBT community, but his heart is certainly in the right place, treating them the same as he treats anyone else. I’d rather spend time with someone who doesn’t just talk a good game, but actually treats people w/o prejudice.

Camm, I guess I am a zombie too, lol ! I think you summed this up well. And Cindi, I don’t agree with some of your comment, but I would not hate on you for it either! Respect gets respect! Some people don’t give it, so they will not get it. The reason I like Teresa is one of Camm’s points- she is real, never fake . From last season until this, she has basically had to walk around thinking all of these people were her family and real friends, and to see this all play out when you had no idea and still keep your head up gets kudos in my book! Tre is not perfect, nor is she an Angel from God like her brother, but faults and all she is a larger than life personality on this show and the only reason I still watch this hot mess. I too have watched every episode and I am disgusted, no matter how you twist your stories, ( Mel Joe Kathy) they came on this show and made it so dark and just down right unnecessarily juvenile and petty. If they wanted to be on so bad and were in a good place with their blood relative, they would have tried before! O but wait- they could not because Dina put this group together( NOT JAC).No matter how you think they got on the show, it was shady and they just wanted to take down Teresa. They wanted the attention and notoriety that Teresa was getting!

In her blog she addresses Teresa’s blog by saying she ‘never asked her cousin how many times she went to the mall’… That’s not what I read in Teresa’s blog, Teresa’s said in her blog that prior to Rich & Kathy coming on the show that Rich used to tease/ask her how much ‘gas’ she was using to go to the mall’, (I’m paraphrasing here but it’s in her blog)…..
Bottom line, not a Kathy/Rich fan & what’s that ole’ saying about wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them?? Unfortunately, Kathy tells so many versions of ‘her side’ that it’s difficult for her remember the truth……
I like Kathy but, please tell the truth, you teamed up with Melissa to get on the show behind Tre’s back. The intentions may not have been to hurt her, but like you have said several times, you made the decision with your family, you did not talk to Tre about it. Yes, it is not up to her to decide for you, it’s up to you and your family, but, that is low down dirty to come on show that you cousin stars in without letting her know. No real family or friend does that. And of course you gas station owning husband wants you to come on…he wants the money, girl.

OMG-finally some Kathy bashing! I love it. Not that their family is really interesting enough to talk about, I’m just so sick of the party-line and script with those people-”sweet”, “good kids”, yuk, bla BLA!..the stuff uptop about the Lebanese Gomer Pyle, (Rich), WOW-I bet that wasn’t supposed to get out ha ha. Makes Joe Giudice look like an upstanding citizen.
