Kathy Wakile Says Teresa Makes Things Very Difficult Because Kathy Has Remained Friends With The Laurita’s/Manzo’s
RHONJ star Kathy Wakile spoke to Celebbuzz and tells them that Teresa makes it very difficult for Kathy to remain friends with Jac and Caroline while still maintaing a good relationship with her! Kathy also talks about the recipe comments she made!
Celebuzz: Why do you think that Teresa took your comments about her desert recipes as an insult??
Kathy Wakile: I saw a picture in her cookbook and it brought me back to my childhood, and what my mother used to make in the kitchen, what I grew up seeing. So of course, [I said,] “Oh, like momma makes. Oh, my mom’s cooking.” It wasn’t anything calculating, my mom and her mom are sister-in-laws. Her mother doesn’t have any other siblings. My mother doesn’t have any sister-in-laws on her side of the family here in this side of the country. They baked together. What’s the big deal? There’s no reason to be so defensive unless you’re maybe insecure about something.
You’re starting your own dessert business. Does the fact that Teresa already uses some of those recipes in her cookbook affect you??
Not one bit. You know you can give ten women the same recipe and a lot of times they will come out different. You know what I mean? And you’ve got to enjoy and believe in what you do, and not be insecure about it, and just go forward. You know what? She’s doing really well with her cookbook and I think God bless her and support her. She’s doing wonderful. No one is asking for anything. I want to support her. I never insinuated that she stole anything.
At this point in the show, Jacqueline and Teresa have just had a parting of ways. Is it possible to remain friends with Jacqueline and even Caroline Manzo and still maintain a good relationship with Teresa??
She makes that very difficult. I have to be quite honest. She makes that very difficult, because she wants to always state her point and prove her side is correct and get you on her side. But it’s not really about taking sides, and I don’t feel that it should be at this point in our lives. We’re grown women and you can perfectly establish and sustain a relationship outside of one basic relationship and be able to handle relationships with other people. As long as everyone is respectful to one another, why not? It’s a little elementary if you ask me, and you know like a little high school-ish. Haven’t we grown up a bit since then? I like to think that I have, and you know I’m able to sustain other relationships.
I think it’s annoying that Kathy has to even call Teresa out and say she makes things “very difficult” when it comes to that. Obviously Teresa probably doesn’t trust Kathy so she’s afraid if she says something to her, Kathy will run back to the Manzo’s and Laurita’s which Kathy does do this! Do you think Teresa has a right to make things difficult?!

Last season Rich basicly said in a talking head that teresa STOLE recipes. This year Jac said (i believe on twitter) that if teresas cookbook was a family cookbook why wasnt kathy in it? So i have no doubt these people have been talking trash and putting down teresas cookbook and Kathy believes that She should be the one in Teresas shoes.. she says in the above interview that Teresa was insecure about her recipes and then turned around and said she herself was not insecure with her cooking.. lol she IS passive aggressive. She thinks she will be as successful as teresa..
Kathy wasn’t in it because she didn’t care to say she was T’s cousin until T got famous and she wanted in on the cameras.. If she played her cards right, she would not pitching desserts by a cemetery lol!

Melissa’s whole premise to get on the show was to show all of Teresa’s issues within their family whether they were true or not. Kathy is the simple lap dog of Melissa.
Melissa wanted to come on the show, but since she wasn’t choosen in the first go around she campaigned for a spot which was not provided until the departure of Dina and Danielle. Bravo has to have a villian in all of their housewives franchises, since this is their MO.
Melissa and Joey Gorga started from scene 1 the Christining to create an issue. How could their be an issue from saying congratulations? There cannot be one, but scene 1 we see the Mel and Joey going after Teresa.
Bravo always made RHWONJ to be Soprano light franchise. They were supposed to be mob-like. Melissa and Joe promised and delivered that from scene 1. Then Joe and Melissa go on and on to defame Teresa.
Kathy places her two cents in to cause issues. Even Teresa’s mother at the Brownstone told Kathy that she should be ashamed of herself for making statements which were meaningless. How have they tried to destroy her? Here’s a few just off the top of my head:
1. Melissa admitting ON CAMERA that she contacted Danielle to feed her information to use against Teresa.
2. Jac talking ON CAMERA about Teresa’s bankruptcy, and asking her about the home improvements she’s made; insinuating she is committing fraud.
3. Jac going on Twitter, calling Teresa scum and saying she set Melissa up at the fashion show. Caroline and Kathy backing her up at the reunion.
4.Jac discussing Joe thinking he’s above the law and all of them discussing his going to jail ON CAMERA knowing it could jeopardize his case.
5. Caroline ON CAMERA insinuating that Joe is going to jail and Teresa will write a book about it because she’s all about the money.
6. Caroline stating, again, ON CAMERA, that Teresa is the cause of her fight with Dina, even though Dina has flat-out denied it.
7. Melissa and Joe, ON CAMERA, two months later repeating something Teresa told Joe in confidence regarding rumors to make it seem like she is trying to break up their marriage.
8.Kathy, ON CAMERA, saying those are her mother’s recipes in Teresa’s book. Melissa backing her up by saying Teresa’s mother called her for the recipes.
9. All of them saying ON CAMERA that Teresa is selling articles about them. When it’s pointed out to them that the majority of the articles are bad ones about Teresa, their story changes to ” Well she’s planting those stories about herself to get sympathy.”
10. Jac tweeting rumors of Juicy cheating and retweeting Teresa’s private texts.
I have plenty more examples, but don’t want to take up any more space on this blog. And these are only the things that are indisputable. I didn’t even go into the alleged Mafia style tape and all the other things not proven (YET!).
I don’t really care one way or the other if you like Melissa and don’t like Teresa, but it’s insulting to our intelligence to pretend these things don’t exist.
Okay samantha lets all agree with you for argument sake here. How in the hell are you going to point that out and not point out Kathy running to the manzos? Or Kathy attempting to take credit for recipe’s in teresa’s cookbook? Or Kathy’s passive aggressive pop shots at her cousin with celeb buzz? Do you not get it that everyone here thinks your making an ass out of yourself?
Do you not get that talking about someone or even just not LIKING them is not the same thing as DESTROYING THEM?
When you make insinuations and accusations about someone’s character and attempt to show them as a fraud you are affecting their livelihood. If people were gullible enough to believe the crap they are spewing (thankfully most people are not), it would affect her book sales and her means of supporting her family. This is how they are attempting to destroy her.
They’re not accusations. SHE IS A FRAUD. She owes money to practically everybody in town, friends and relatives included, and right on the heels of the news that she’s stolen $250,000 from her creditors, she’s seen flagrantly spending money ON HERSELF hand over fist.
She didn’t even spend a dime of it to help Joey out with their parents, she spent it ON HERSELF.
And what do you think SHE’S trying to do with this current little hate campaign she has going on against every single person on this show? And from what I understand she’s done a lot worse than just “talk about them” to undermine them business-wise.
I don’t need anyone to help me decide not to contribute a dime to anything this bottomless pit of greed is trying to sell.
accusations that are not proven are still just accusations. When the case was settled in court, I would bet a payment plan was set up. She would have to pay a certain amount to the creditors over a certain amount of time. As long as those conditions were met, it doesn’t matter what else she spends her money on.
There has been no proof except Joe Gorga saying on camera that he supports his parents financially. There has been no proof that Teresa doesn’t support them. We just don’t know, and it’s really none of our business to know so we can’t really call either of them a fraud for that. As for what you understand she has done to undermine the others in their business ventures, I have seen none of that on the show. All I see is someone busting her ass to pay off her debts and support her family. I base my judgements on what I see with my own eyes.
So do I (base my judgements on what I see with my own eyes), and yet we’ve STILL come to entirely different conclusions. Which, believe it or not, I can live with without having a stroke.
And I just checked back to see what I said that started all this, and all I said was that I agreed with Kathy that grown women “don’t take sides.” How the hell did I wind up in court?

Darling there is no reasoning with Samantha. She has no facts to back-up her statements.
Samantha doesn’t know the first thing about bankruptcy or the $250k or what is brought into a bankrupt estate or not. She doesn’t, which is patently obvious, but she will go back to saying that over and over again about the book proceeds. However, she fails to understand the contract execution date was post filing. The trustee even dropped it because his only claim which he dropped was constructive execution which the judge refuted due to case precedent on point.
Further, any knowledge of Joe’s signing his partners name to a document was not Teresa’s concern. Even Joe’s former partner stated that in open forum (court) and in a signed waiver document.
Samantha grapples at patently false statements which have been asked and answered by the court or by other side, that Teresa was not a party to the action. Sam only listens to her own BS which is pathetic.
She doesn’t admit that Jac who is a member of Signature Apparel is in deep poop. All Chris’s creditors have her as a party and the creditor have filed a brief with the court to pierce the corporate veil.
Samantha is an idiot. It is plain and simple. She simply wants to write history as she would like it to be and not how it is. Sam is a sad and simple individual. I pity her.
Exactly! No Italian worth their salt would not defend their cousin when Caroline said that clearly abusive prediction. Even cousins who are fighting to the death would have gone after Caroline. Kathy doesn’t know the meaning of family or blood relations.
It is only difficult because she makes it so. Kathy has taking sides. She is the one telling tales. Teresa said to her that even if she and Jacquline and Caroline were no longer friends they should be cordial to each other. That being said if it is hard it is because that is what they chose to make it. It maybe hard, Kathy, because here a year later, last August, you, Kathy,Caroline and Melissa are still hanging on to.
And Teresa has not spoken to them since last Seasons reunion show, late September, 2011.
Sorry, that is not right, Mel showed up to Teresa’s girls birthday party, stayed long enough get her picture taken, pick a fight with Teresa and then left.
And Jac, tweeted Teresa early January talking about a getting together and then chnged her mind after Teresa called her bluff.
Other than those two incidents, Teresa has not seen or spoke to any of them, nor has she tweeted or talked about them relentlessly unlike all of them.
Actually Jan, it was only about 2 months ago that Jac was calling out for Teresa to come over, she was trying to call her then blasted her again on twitter. T wasn’t kissing her arse, so Jac went back to name calling, as any mature mother her age would do..LOL

Kathy lies like a rug. Her whole point in saying “my mom’s cookies,” is to give herself license to steal recipes that have already been published in Teresa’s books. She wants everybody to think that they’re really her mother’s recipes too, and that she, Kathy, is entitled to profit from them. UGH…

You are sooo right. Also I think that not only are Teresa’s cookbooks great but the photographs of her , her daughters, and mother are helping them sell as well. She has a beautiful family and who wouldn’t want to try a cookbook that has beautiful photographs of them along with yummie recipes? No one wants to look at caroline and her family much less Kathy’s. I sure in the hell wouldn’t try their cook books.
For the past couple of years, Teresa has called the Manzos and Lauritas “family” and mentioned repeatedly how they’ve stuck by her when even her real family hadn’t. All of a sudden, they’re fair weather friends… I can see Kathy’s point. Unless you are on Teresa’s side, you’re wrong. There’s no neutral zone.
Teresa called them fair weathered because when her family had money and no problems they were there, but when that changed they changed. When Teresa was the goofy sidekick no one took serious she was great. That changed when teresa became the product placement favorite and started cashing in on any and everty thing that comes her, while their deals suck wind.
They stuck by her through her bankruptcy and legal issues. They even supported her initial business ventures. But it’s when her PERSONALITY changed that they decided “no more”. I know there’s way more behind the scenes nobody knows. But when the tabloids first ate her up, she acknowledged that they were the ones who stuck by her when times were rough and supported her and her husband’s business ventures

It is quite ironic that the Manzo/Laurita tribe had NO problems with Teresa UNTIL, Teresa’s family joined the show.
Mel is a master manipulator, and she has controlled them all. They still haven’t seen through her yet, but they will, and it is going to be REAL UGLY when they do!!!

The only personality I saw that changed was Caroline. On the first season, she was kinda nice. The “voice of reason”. She actually smiled a lot more and seemed happier. Now, she is a nasty, bitter unhappy bitch and it’s all because of her jealousy of Teresa.
When Teresa became popular, she was busy promoting her book, going on book signings, doing the interviews, doing Celebrity Apprentice and that just bugs the shit out of all of them.
I think CA is the real reason Caroline is so angry at Teresa. haha She probably put it out there that she wanted to be on CA and Teresa got the call… so she tried to save face by saying they asked her first. Then she looked like a FOOL when The Donald called her a liar. HA!

It came across that way because it was meant that way. My mom made pizelles for years, yet if I saw a recipe for them in a cookbook, I would probably say something like “oh, pizelles, my mom used to make them; they’re my favorite”. That way you’re acknowledging your mother’s cooking without basically accusing the person of stealing her recipe. Making underhanded statements that appear on the surface to be innocent is Kathy’s true talent.

“They baked together”…Teresa said the sisters in laws have NEVER baked together. Kathy and her sabertooth husband are lying. They have been at this since their first season. Richie kept on saying that Teresa’s took her mother’s recipes. Which Teresa has said many times those are her mother’s and mother in law recipe. Also, Kathy’s mother said it her self, not only did she NOT grow up with Teresa’s father. After she came to the state, her husband and Teresa’s father had a disagreement and DID NOT TALK FOR 20 OR 30 years…and i still believe they DON’T TALK. So i don’t believe when Kathy said that her mother and Teresa’s mother used to bake together…
JD, I have to admit, I heard that to. Teresa clearly stated in her blog that the two mothers did not bake together, but Teresa did agree with Kathy that they did in fact, bake together. Either way, it really doesn’t matter.

Long ago I read that the Wakiles redid the entire front facade of their house to be on the show-the house is just a frame sided house and they added the stone peak over the front door and painted all the rooms bright colors. On one google or bing map there was a picture of the original house front with a long covered front porch. And could they rent ??? a few more iron tables and chair sets for their yard with like 7 tables and 7 umbrellas – who has 5 6 7?? umbrellas in their yard the Maloofs don’t even have that.And the pool looks very new but I could be wrong about the pool.And they put a dining room table and chairs in their kitchen because their dining room is too tiny to film in!

I don’t think for one second that Teresa neglected to tend to her girls in that situation. However kathy implied it just as she is implying that some of the recipes in her cook book are her mothers. Kathy doesn’t have to say it just the implication is saying it. They all know this but play it off like were a bunch of dumb asses. This is how Teresa gets baited by these wenches. They make insults and imply things but do it with a sweet smile and hug while stabbing you in the back. It’s the worst kind of people to be around. Personally I would rather someone say that they don’t like me rather then smile to my face and then go behind my back and attack me. This SHOW SUCKS!!! I use to love this show. I can’t even take watching anymore. I hate it that bravo is allowing all of these women insult and attack the giudices and never putting out the skeletons in the rest of the ladies closets. This four on one pisses me off!

What’s even more hilarious is the fact that Teresa said that pic was of store-bought cookies! Sooo …..does that mean Kathy’s Mom “made” store-bought cookies?! Well that would mean, either Kathy’s Mom has been fooling Kathy into thinking those cookies were homemade, or Kathy’s an idiot & grasping at straws to discredit Teresa! (I choose the latter!)
I always slant my backstabbing too, to make the other guy look like the problem.
I wouldn’t trust Kathy, her halo is tarnished, rusted and cracked in several places with pieces missing.
Kathy and her douche bag of a husband hate Teresa–that is so obvious to me. They want to hurt Teresa.

Kathy has all this loyalty to the Manzo and the Laurito family who she met two years ago, but, she has none for her own cousin. Kathy your true colors are showing and it is not pretty.
I was watching this weeks episode a little while ago on DVR and my 22 year old son walked in while they were doing a talking head with Kathy. The dialogue went something like this:
Joey:Who IS that?
Me: She’s one of the housewives on RHONJ, you know, that show I watch.
Joey: Yeah, but what happened to her FACE?
Me: Yes, she’s got kind of a strange face..
Joey: (cutting me off) but what’s the matter with her EYES?
Me: I don’t know.
Joey leaves the room.
Honestly, I want to know why it seems as though Kathy and Melissa are trying to be Jaqueline and Caroline’s friends? Its like they would rather be their friend then have a real relationship with Teresa.
I agree with the only posts that get posted besides a few by Samantha (YAY SAMANTHA) get posted. I am not team Teresa, but allllllll the comments I have written have never been published. I’m not vulgar or say bad words, I just express my opinion, which I thought this site was about. I emailed Roxie, she got back immediatley, very kindly, and said shed look into it. Still, nothing I write shows up. This site should be renamed allabout Teresa. What’s up with that!?
