Kathy Wakile Says Family Drama on TV May Be Worth It For Business Opportunities, Comes to Melissa’s Defense
Kathy Wakile is clearing the air regarding Melissa’s rumored stripper past. In a recent interview she says where her relationship with Teresa stands, discusses Joe Giudice and his comments, and talks about her new business venture and whether or not exploiting family and friendships on reality TV is worth it.
During her sit-down with Hollywood Life, Kathy states that she really doesn’t have a relationship with Teresa at the moment. When asked about Joe Giudice’s comments about her, she says that “maybe his comedic genius tapped off along with his growth.” The RHONJ hypocrisy strikes again! Can we discuss Richie’s comments about Teresa? Hmmm.
Kathy also explains that during the last night of the dramatic Napa Valley trip, she did not intend to start a fight between Caroline and Teresa. Kathy said she was unaware that Caroline could hear because the hot tub motors were on. The interviewer asks Kathy if the family and friendships being torn apart is worth doing the show, and Kathy answers that “you have to look a the good things that come out of it too.” She speaks about her cannoli kit that will be launched as a result of being on the show. It’s really surprising – or is it? – to hear her avoid the question and basically agree that tearing apart a family or friendships on national TV is worth it for a business deal.
Not leaving the stripper drama unattended, Kathy came to Melissa’s defense about the allegations made against her. “She wasn’t really a dancer,” Kathy says. “She worked in a club and she was kind of like a Hooters girls, a hostess, a bar maid. She wasn’t a dancer. And even if she had been it doesn’t matter because I know her now and she’s a great mom, and wife and they have a beautiful life. She wasn’t a murderer. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.”
Kathy also says that she has never seen any behavior from Joe that would incriminate him of cheating on Teresa. This makes me doubt, even more, the truth behind the notorious phone call where she calls Teresa bad names and made seem like he is speaking to another woman. We all know how edited this show is. What are your thoughts on what Kathy had to say regarding the benefits of doing the show?

What a nightmare these women are, poor Teresa.
Kathy & Joey Gorga are the worst ones by far with the treatment towards their own family. Melissa is a trifling heffa that hopefully will reap what she has sowed one day. I don’t like wishing bad upon others but I will not be buying a cannoli kit, any desserts from Kathy or any songs by Melissa and hope others do the same.

I saw a recent episode of Season 3 earlier, and Kathy was FAKE CRYING when she said how she has always wanted for Teresa and her family to be happy. She wanted her daughters to stay close, and she didn’t want Teresa’s daughters to be affected by all the drama and all the things going on in Teresa’s life. She continued to say how she wished Teresa to have continued happiness and success which made me more upset because her acting actually looked genuine. Why say all those things, Kathy??? You know the only reason why Bravo wanted you on RHONJ was to destroy Teresa, yet here you go preaching and saying how much you love Teresa and how happy you want her and her family to be. Kathy JOINED THE SHOW, and she KNOWS how much she has helped Bravo and everyone else to DESTROY TERESA, yet here she fake cries and plays all innocent. I don’t get Kathy at all. Her motives. Her shakiness. Her always pretending to be the peacemaker when she’s always the instigator. Her backstabbing. Her ego. How big it’s gotten. How much she has defamed Teresa’s character. After the last few episodes I actually find Kathy more disgusting than Melissa. When they first came on the show, Melissa was in your face famewhore while Kathy was more subtle about it. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she just got sucked into the drama. I thought maybe she actually had a conscience, but I was wrong. She’s not a follower like I thought, she’s a sh*t-stirrer who tries to make people believe she’s the porcelain saint. Sorry Saint Kathy, your halo is tarnished. I’m curious as to which of her “old school” values includes participating in the destruction of her old school Italian family. Is the the part where she “believes in respect”? How about ALL those scenes where her own mother is reduced to tears talking about the years of strife and heartache between her and her brother (Giacinto Gorga) and urging Kathy, Joey and Teresa to put all this nonsense to rest? Is THAT what she’s talking about when she mentions the “good things” that have come out of being on the show? Does all of that add up to making her cannoli kit worth it? Her mother’s tears? Teresa’s tears? Gia’s tears? Destroying a family? Real old school, Kath. Real respect there.

Srt_3, I agree. Teresa is by no means innocent in her behaviors of the past. She is also by no means the horrendous monster they make her out to be. But when it’s 4 against 1 constantly calling out her errors while completely ignoring their own coupled with Bravo’s bull shit editing, it’s easy to see why so much Teresa-hating goes on among viewers. She has NOT been given a fair shake (you said it best when you mentioned the benefit of the doubt…a luxury Teresa is NEVER afforded…remember the text message from her brother the morning of Field Day?).
This is why I (and most Teresa fans) are so disheartened these past two seasons. Because of the obvious gang up on her and the stunning level of hypocrisy displayed by the Jackhole 4. It’s out of control and yet they are not slowing down one bit. Every time they open their mouths they stoop to a new low.

I think my decision as to whether or not I will be watching any longer will be solidified with the casting of S5. If Caroline is still on, I think I’ll be tuning out. And IMO, Jacqueline really should be focusing her efforts on her special needs child and not her ongoing smear campaign against Teresa. Not to mention, bright lights, cameras, crews of strange people and whatever other excessive and unnecessary stimuli that comes with being on TV are the WORST things you could do to a child with autism. That alone would make me stop watching because I just won’t support it.

What Kathy is clearly saying is It Is Fine Stepping All Over Family If It Means She Can Earn A Buck. No big deal right? Problem is Kathy, when you stoop to a level of a “piece of shit” it’s actually bad for business. Nobody is interested in anything, nothing you sell.

i find it very strange for producers to be texting to cast members,they must have set this whole thing up with kim.i am sick of watching this show.it is fake.they dont give a dam what they are doing to teresa and her family.everyone blamed teresa.i dont see how joe gorga,doesnt even listen to teresa.he believes melissa.i wouldnt be a bit shocked if caroline,her daughter and jac were in on it.caroline seemed real happy about the whole mess.i dont anyone who likes kathy,melissa,or jac.no one will buy anything from any of them.bravo should be ashamed.
