Kathy Wakile Responds To Teresa’s Paid Apology
Reports have recently surfaced that RHONJ star Teresa Giudice was paid $6,500 for apologizing to her costars through In Touch magazine! Kathy is now responding to the reports and tells Reality Aired that apologizing publicly isn’t the way to do it!
Kathy says, “There are certain ways to go about doing it. I didn’t read her initial apology so I can’t really say, but words are just words…actions don’t follow up.” Kathy adds, “I didn’t see the check, and I’ve come to realize there’s a lot of hearsay from different sources. If that is the case [and Teresa was paid] it doesn’t surprise me.”
Kathy understands that if Teresa is having financial trouble that she’s in survival mode and doing what she has to do. “We the Wakiles have tried to reach out in the past and have asked, ‘Are you okay?’ and she dances around the subject. So she’s not wanting to talk to a family member but she’s getting it out there publicly when a family member is showing concern. When we found out in the tabloids about Teresa’s difficulties it shocked us.”
Kathy says she doesn’t want to fight with her cousin adding, “but I reached out just through the phone and got beaten up. There are certain things that are not necessary for the press to know about if you really want a reconciliation.”
I think the two should leave everything in the past, move forward and agree not to talk about each other publicly. Do you think Kathy and Teresa will ever really move on?

Words are one thing, but actions don’t follow up… Kathy Wakile is one to speak. She constantly says how she loves Teresa and wants to be a family again, but her actions don’t follow up nor do her words, for that matter. Do family who love each other go on a show to publicly humiliate and bash another family member that they’re not getting along with at the moment? Don’t think so.

How about the “action” of going on your cousin’s reality show behind her back with the intent of taking her down? Exactly. Why would Teresa want to confide in her “family and friends” when they use everything against her? Teresa probably confided in Melissa and Joey about her house being in foreclosure and in turn, they told Danielle about it. Danielle just didn’t magically know that Teresa’s house was in foreclosure or that she’s having financial issues considering they didn’t even talk.
It wasn’t in foreclosure. Mel lied about it just like she lies about almost everything. Mel fed Danielle a pack of lies and Teresa figured out that she was the source.
The only time these morons “reached out” to Teresa was while cameras were present. They didnt give a damn unless it could exploit Teresa for their own gain.

Teresa said she aplogized privately. I can’t blame her for for not confiding in Kathy or a brother, because hese people agreed to air out the family dirty laundry in order to be on TV. How can she trust them. Whatever she tell them, they are going to use it against her in the show. She confided in her brother about rumors about Melissa and Joe airs it out on TV. Big deal if she got money for the apology, Melissa and Kathy got $100k in S3 and another $100k for S4 to trash their family .
I really wish Kathy would stop associating with Caroline and Melissa. I agree! I did NOT think that the “burn the bitch on a stake” comment was funny or called for at all. I actually gasped when I watched the rerun and saw it. I don’t care what type of sense of humor someone has, that’s just not funny, especially not when directed toward an estranged family member. It is definitely not funny after someone else has already told you that she doesn’t appreciate your jokes (Teresa has repeatedly stated that she doesn’t think Richie’s jokes about her are funny).
I just don’t get the way that anyone on this show thinks!!! Why all the hypocrisy? Does Kathy really think that what Richie said was funny, all in jest, and an example of his “off-beat, quirky sense of humor”? Does she really think that because she claims that he actually loves Teresa, that makes what he said okay or funny? Why shouldn’t he have to apologize for his “joke” that aired on national TV and makes light of his wife’s cousin dying painfully and torturously? Call me crazy, but I think that what Richie said in the first episode is WAY more offensive than anything Teresa may have written or implied in her cookbook. I own her first two cookbooks and read each one cover to cover; the jokes in the cookbook that she is now having to apologize for hurting other people’s feelings over are mild and humorous and balanced with her statements of love for Caroline and other family members. The only one that I thought could have been considered offensive was the joke about Danielle (who everyone agrees is psychotic and evil anyway, plus Teresa apologized to her too already!!). If Teresa is going to get raked over the coals for the jokes in the cookbook, then Richie deserves to deal with an outcry over the “jokes” he has said, ESPECIALLY this one.

Good call about Teresa not feeling safe talking to Kathy. Kathy needs to understand that whatever strain was there before the show that caused Teresa not to want to open up to her has now been multiplied exponentially by Kathy coming onto RHONJ to air family dirty laundry and trash Teresa. I was also uncomfortable on sea 2 when they all ganged up on Danielle.
This ignites most of our passions because we see them trying to do the same things to Teresa. The difference here is Danielle was horrible in the way that she handled pressure, and Teresa is at least trying and nnot throwing her Brother under the bus.
From the 3rd season, you could see the look of confusion on Teresa’s face when the tides started to change against her, and she went into survival mode. I can forgive any snarky back handed comment that she made during this time, because I know if it were me… I would have beat the shit out of Melissa and given my brother 2 fingers.. (peace)

Caroline made the snide comment that Theresa was not sorry, just sorry that “she got caught”. Theresa’s past books made the NY Times best-selling list, so she was not exactly hiding anything – she thought the comments were funny and would make her friends laugh. Theresa has been though a very tough couple years – most would crack under the pressure she has been under. She picked herself up and made a good living for her family. They kicked her when she was down and resent her success. Sad.
