Kathy Says Teresa Went Too Far By Bringing Up Her Marriage At The Reunion!
RHONJ star Kathy Wakile took to her blog to talk about Sunday’s reunion. Kathy believes Teresa went too far by bringing up her marriage and her father. I’m a bit confused because Jacqueline constantly brings up Teresa and Joe’s marriage and has told random viewers how Joe cheats on her yet Kathy has never thought anything was wrong with it? “Some big secrets were revealed on Sunday evening. Obviously this was a very tense situation as we haven’t been all together for a year. It was bound to be intense, emotional, and passionate. I didn’t even get a chance to settle in when Andy Cohen called me out on my nose job right at the start! You can’t believe how many tweets I’ve received over having my nose fixed. Interestingly, it’s really no big deal for me. I never tried to hide it, but quite frankly it wasn’t something I chose to do while we were filming. I know some ladies choose to have procedures as part of their story line, and I commend them for it. However it just wasn’t what I wanted at this time. Andy has asked me numerous times on camera, and I’ve told him I did it for cosmetic reasons, which I’ve never denied. I just wanted the youthful look I once had, and I did not blame it on any medical issues.
The funny thing about plastic surgery though is that some people openly admit it like I did and others claim they’ve have nothing done when it is so obvious that they have. I say what’s the big deal? If you’re really curious about what I mean, you can check out my high school photos on Bravotv.com.
The decision to plump up my lips was so last minute. I was having a facial and decided to give it a shot. It was only 10 days prior to the reunion, so it was fresh but they’re not permanent. In fact they are already back to the way they were before. I think the big reaction from everyone was caused by a combination of the nose, lips, the extra glam makeup, and the lighter hair. Oh and I can’t forget the extra-long hair extensions. That’s one of the great things about being a girl, one day I can do a little more primping and prepping for an event and the next day go back to my apron and ponytail. That was my favorite part of working in the beauty business, the endless possibilities.
Another big dark secret — you all found out that I’m such a bad person, because I didn’t have my first designer handbag until I was 40 years old! Guilty! It wasn’t something that I really wanted. (If it was, don’t you think that Richie would have gotten them for me?) I guess my priorities are little different than some. For me, having our family’s future secured and investing in my children’s college education was just more important.
I heard what Teresa had said about me behind my back from several different people, and I never wanted to believe it. She told people that I lived in a “sh—- little house,” and I could not believe it until I actually saw it in print from an interview that she gave, that makes a similar reference. She didn’t even deny that she said these things at the reunion, when she had denied it numerous other accusations. For the record, I’ve always been thrilled with my home. Love lives here. However, everyone has a right to their own opinion.
Now on to much more serious things. First of all, I want to go on record that I’m not proud of the dark place that I went to when I lashed out at Teresa. It’s not in my nature to allow myself to react so harshly, and I feel bad about my behavior. I will always be accountable for my wrong-doings, as I have in the past, and I will continue to do so. Unfortunately, this time I reacted after Teresa had pushed me to my limit. How many more chances and benefits of the doubts am I going to give her? There are a few things that I hold sacred in my life: my children, my family, and most of all my marriage. You have all seen that of these things, my marriage is the basis of my life. How dare she try to pick away at my marriage and then throw her mother under the bus and say that she is the one who told her this? Why would she betray her mother’s confidence and get her involved in this? A lie is a lie. Trust me, if the Pope himself was spreading lies about my marriage, I would still do anything to stop it.
I sat back for two seasons straight and did not allow Teresa’s jabs and insults about my character to get to me, because I knew what she was trying to do. It’s called deflection. She has attacked the most important relationships in my life — my sister Rosie, made comments about my kids, and now my marriage and my deceased father. The ironic thing is, the week this episode aired Richie and I had just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary. So viewers, how is what she is saying relevant now after 21 years of a solid marriage? Why would she even bring that up at this time?
It’s unfortunate that once again Teresa automatically went to that place and thought I would reveal the nature of our past conversations we had years ago about marriage. I would never reveal any “girl talk” that we had in the past and betray her confidentiality. What made her think I would so quickly divulge that private information when I never did before and have no intention of doing now? She went for my jugular and she pushed me over the edge!
I said before that I wasn’t proud of my behavior, and I stand by that. I’ve always had respect for my aunt and uncle. As you can see from Season 3, after the fashion show my aunt attacked me after I had a private conversation with Teresa. I understood where she was coming from, and I didn’t even say a word to her in my defense. I allowed this to happen because she thought she was protecting her daughter. When I was first interviewed for RHONJ, I went to discuss the possibilities and my intentions with my aunt and uncle. I had a very long, nice talk with my aunt and she agreed with me. We came to an amiable understanding. I had also hoped to speak to my uncle that day but he just walked out. While I admit that “coward” was a very mean thing to say, I was so disappointed in how he acted towards me. I would never raise my voice to either of them, and I never have. My uncle and I had always had a respectful relationship, but make no mistake, the relationship of an uncle and a niece is nothing like that of a father and daughter. How dare Teresa speculate on the relationship I had with my father, and the type of father he was to me and my siblings. That statement really sent me over the edge, as it did for Rosie.
I’m going to give you a little background. My father was the first man that both Rosie and I had ever loved. My father came to this country partially handicapped at a young age, not knowing the language. He worked incredibly hard in spite of his disability to make a life for himself. After he married my mom, they both worked selflessly to make a life and provide for their five children. They learned the language, they kept to themselves and were honorable, hardworking people who were respected by everyone. My father lived and died for his family, as well as his extended family. He never cheated anyone or hurt anyone. Anyone who knew him would say the same. He was an honorable man, and I will not let anyone disrespect his reputation or his memory.
When my father got sick with leukemia, our family watched him suffer for over seven years until he came down with lung cancer. At this point, we really watched him deteriorate. I was there with my mom as much as I could be during the day, but Rosie lived with them and watched day in and day out as my father slipped further and further away. Until you live with the pain of watching a loved one, especially a powerhouse like your father, suffer so severely, you can’t know what the pain feels like. Even though it has been almost ten years, the wound will never heal. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t think of him and miss him. When Teresa’s insinuations about my father’s love for us, his own children, came out, that’s when she hurt Rosie and me the most. This brought both of us to a very bad place. It does not excuse or justify our actions, but we are all human, and everyone has their breaking point. I hope that watching the next parts of the reunion will shed a little bit more light. That’s all for now.”
I do think the ladies should never involve parents and they did. I think parents and children should be off topic but with the RHONJ ladies, they aren’t. Thoughts on what Kathy had to say?

I used to like commenting on here but all the fake people that are really being paid by the Gorgas to bash Teresa have ruined this blog and made it no fun. It’s probably one person pretending to be a bunch of different people and being paid. I miss how much fun this blog used to be before the trolls.

Exactly! Funny how she does not tell people why Teresa said the handbag comment!!! There are reasons T said what she said, but of course, her and Melissa do not disclose them. When finding out about joining the show the way they had, and because of petty family issues, Teresa said things to prove why they should not be on acting like they are RICH and PERFECT because people will find out the TRUTH. Kathy has had no problems , along with Richie and countless others, throwing T under the bus, put on a stake, thrown in the trash, etc… Mocking her, making fun of her, all for fame and camera time. I think Teresa is the one who finally had enough after years of humiliation and betrayal, and is starting to show them in the light they deserve to be in- the shady/lying light! I did not hear Teresa say anything negative about her uncle or aunt. Kathy tries to find ways to excuse her real personality, which is gross. Everyone has rough spots, and Im sure after trying to show the world what a great couple they pretend to be now, Kathy and Bucky had issues. Hello, look at the way they act? There is no way they had perfect marriage all of these years!! And I highly doubt that Teresa’s mom or anyone in the family would make that up.
Whats even crazier is she had a chance at last years reunion and she said she would not discuss her uncle because he was diseased. This was when andy wanted to her reveal why Tres father and Kathys father didn’t speak for years.
Kathy said it was over $5……sad clearly this family has a history or being petty
It’s not made up. They’ve been married for a long time and I’m sure there have been issues. If it weren’t true she wouldn’t have been so upset. Truth hurts.

Does anyone remember when dog face katfish started with Teresa and revealed that Teresa said that she hated her in-laws. Teresa cut her off and said we’ve had problems like even u n Ritchie. She said even my mon knows. I dont think that’s throwing her mom under the bus nor do I consider Teresa starting I think she was defending herself. And to answer stupid Karhy’s question about revealing secrets why would Teresa think she’d do it’s because Jacqueline has been doing all year maybe Teresa thought Kathy would do the same.
Let’s see–so far Kathy tried to say the recipes in the cookbook were hers to hurt her financially. Now that they are attacking Teresa endlessly and she finds love and support from her husband’s family, Kathy tries to to destroy that.
That is one mean woman. I get mad at someone I keep away from them. I don’t try to ruin her life and means of making a living. Especially when there are 4 young children around.
It’s really quite simple to see how Kathy exaggerates EVERYTHING and how we know everything she says should be taken with a grain of salt. Nothing that comes out of her mouth is the straight-up truth.
She says in her blog Teresa’s mother “attacked” her at the event when what Mrs. Giudice did was “reprimand” her. Remember Mama’s observation, “…that’s your cousin. You should be ashamed of yourself.” (Even though the idiot Bravo “translators” wrote “supposed” to be ashamed in the sub-title).
Please. Let it be true that she is gone from the show.

I was going to say the same thing. Kathy’s reaction said it all. Just like Melissa’s holy terror freak out parade at the fashion show. The best defensive is offense. Their over-reactions make them appear guilty, at least to me.
I agree with Mare and BM Barbie! They are trashing T, in a gangup. Strength in numbers. They are all money hungry, fame addicted, selfish, uneducated, pampered, princesses.
I agree.. NO ONE has EVER had a perfect marriage for 21+ years… hell even 5 years! Everyone I know has hit a rough spot where one or the other was ready to say to hell with it… just because you feel that way at one time or another means nothing more than you’re human!
That’s right Michers! And you know what Kathy says about family and business? “If that’s what it takes to get ahead in business!”
Meaning, she would throw her entire family under a train if it meant getting her hands on a few bucks.
And Teresa knows this and has known this for years. I totally believe Teresa, because for one Richie wants to get into Teresa pants and may have even hit on her once years ago and that is why she has his number. Kathy kaka Katfish nows this and that is the reason for the animosity between her and Teresa. Imagine that she has to live with a man that is drooling over your cousin day and night. She got truly pissed because she said something and may have continued to say something about why their marriage was on the rocks. Was Richie Cheating (bet anything that is one issue and true)? Was Richie not bringing in enough “Bacon” at the time and she wanted to leave him for another money guy. Who knows, but she went nuts.
Does Kathy think we all forgot how Richie couldn’t wait to share his morning wood with Melissa (or the cameras for that matter). And that was IN FRONT of his wife!

Buck Henry, once again you’re right. Notice how Kathy yelled to Teresa that Teresa thinks Richie is obsessed with her, and wants to sleep with her? Yes, that explains why Kathy doesn’t like Teresa. Maybe Teresa wasn’t bullshiting when she said Richie had a crush on her? It certainly explains Kathy’s motive.

Whats funny about that is, last season Melissa was the one who said he was sexy for her, not Teresa. Teresa was grossed out. It was in Mel’s kitchen . Then Mel ran back to Kathy saying T said it, LOL. It was on camera for Christ’s sakes!!!
You are so right. No one said anything about her dad until she called Tre’s dad a “COWARD”. Now, who slaps someone in the face and does not expect to be slaped back in the face? If my family came on the show to bash my child, I would not only walk away…. I would curse, tell them to get the freak out of my house, kick them in the behind as they walk out, run outside and throw a rock at their back window as they drive off, and then disown them. He did the right thing by walking away. This man is old and sick he does not have time for this drama.
I do like Kathy, and she you are right about bringing parents up. Even if my best friend talked about my parents or grandparents I would still go all out and go after her, so I know where Kathy is coming from, but on the other hand she should have never said those things about Tre’s parents either. But I glad she recognizes her faults, and I hope that she learns her lessons and just stay out of feuds. I am tired of seeing family and other women trying to bring each other down. First Danielle, and then Tre. Whose going to be next?
i really don’t like kathy but i’m glad she explained why she turned into the she devil. the outburst and attacking teresa’s parents made sense but it still doesn’t make it right. if she truly respects her aunt and uncle then she should’ve have crossed a line with them. she made a fool out of herself. she says her, family, kids, and marriage are important to her. well, they’re important to everyone and especially to teresa. so why on earth is it okay to attack teresa’s marriage, kids, parents, intelligence but all hell breaks loose if she does the same back to them?? everyone should really practice what they preach. want to keep your family and everyone you love out of it then shut your mouth.
I dont like that Teresa made a comment regaurding Kathy’s “shitty” house. Thats so materialistic and ignorant. Material possesions dont mean a thing. However I still love Teresa. LJ- while I understand how you feel about that comment, I don’t think Kathy, nor Melissa will divulge the reason T made any comments relative to that. I think it had to do with Kathy putting on act just to do the show,like pretending to be more then what herself and Richie really lived like, which does not fit into this show. I also feel that Teresa made many comments to them and gave them examples of what will happen , what rumors or truths can come out by them being on the show. Maybe I am wrong?
Did T say it was shirt or imply it was small and cramped? I think it was more about the size of the house not it’s condition. Wakiles live in a much smaller home then any of the rest of these people,probably half the size.But they are dealing with the future expenses of putting their kids through college.The others have very young kids, college is a long ways off for their kids. This tends to skew your financial planning and your attitude towards what you deem a reasonable expense ( like designer handbags that can cost a semesters tuition)

The impression I got was that Joey’s mother flew off the handle based solely on the fact that her spoiled brat of a daughter was moaning and whining again.
I doubt very much that Mrs. Gorga is some kind of saint, and she probably DID lie about Kathy and Richie.
Kathy called Tre’s mom a liar and her father a coward. Teresa had not said one word about Kathy’s parents by then.

I find that bullshit and offensive to “Old School Italians”. If an elder is in the wrong, they are in the wrong. I think more people are offended by outright lies and disrespect than an ADULT telling another ADULT, the “elder” is in the wrong.

Kathy looks like she’s ready to collect social security, I think she could have the maturity to let it pass and confront them in private about it if she felt the need. Umm…what’s respectful or ADULT about calling someone, especially an elder “a fucking liar” and not even to their face? Being old school is about respect, there are other ways to deal with misunderstandings and yes even lies and tell someone you think they’re wrong than to take it to Mach 4 and act like a disrespectful animal.
Once you scream at someone that they’re a fucking liar in a public place or on TV, you’ve kind of lost that teachable moment.

I’m stating my opinion just like everyone else on here. I enjoy the show and take it for what it is – entertainment. If you are emotionally invested yourself enough into this to dream up flying to Jersey to “egg” people’s houses, by all means, do so. I on the other hand have better things to do

exactly, i have watched people in my family suffer and die from different cancers i would never threaten anyone with physical violence and then use the memory of my lost loved ones as an excuse that is far more vile then anything they have accused Tre of doing.

My question is why is it cowardly to walk away when he did not to hear what she had to say. And the fact that he did not want to hear it is very telling. Just because she wants to convince Teresa’s parents that she is not trying to hurt Teresa by being on the show does not make it true. Seems to me T’s father did the right thing, and he obviously correctly predicted the outcome of Kathy being on the show. He did not disrespect her by telling her what he thought of the situation, and she should give him the same respect. Cuz, you know, that is what she is all about.
That speaks volmes.. So she knew she was up to no good, and to make it appear as she wasn’t, she went and blew smoke up their asses anyway? She does not even respect her own mother! How many times did Nonni ask them all to stop all of this bullshit? Last season and this one? On camera? Can you imagine how many times she asked them in private? And no one listened. Thats a shame especially when you claim to be old school and about respect!!!!!
the thing that really bothers me is that when Kathy’s mother spoke about not speaking to Tre’s father, you could see how much it hurt her. She hated the fact that money caused a family feud and now her daughter is making her relive the whole thing again. I really feel bad for her and Teresa’s parents.

Hope she enjoys what little she did make because her 15 minutes is done now and she can crawl right back to where she came. the only reason Teresa freaked out was because of her brother. It doesn’t take rocket science to know that if a man is told another man called his wife a stripper, things are not going to go well when he shows up. She was worried about what would happen, then realized she was being set up to take the blame. Is it that far fetched that she would be worried her brother would blame her too? Or that her parents would be hurt to hear their kids fighting over this? Is that not something to freak out about?

Exactly what were the Guidices doing, money wise, before RHONJ? Were they wealthy or just living like it? We never saw the house they were living in before their current house was complete. Teresa was spending piles of cash, claiming she didn’t believe in credit cards, when already they were in debt over $100k just on personal cards. Their bankruptcy was already in the works and they were flaunting a rich andfamous lifestyle paid for by the people they owed money to. Sure, they withdrew their Bankruptcy filing , but only because they failed to disclose assets, Teresa’s book advance, and property and were in danger of facing criminal charges for Bankruptcy fraud.

People seething with jealousy of or hate for Teresa always seem to forget is that they withdrew their bankruptcy petition. This often happens when developers who personally guaranteed construction loans find buyers or permanent financing for their property. Let’s not forget the Guidices were forced to withdraw their Bankruptcy filing because the Bankruptcy Trustee found they did not include all their assets, including Teresa’s book advance payment. Continuing with the Bankruptcy was Fraud and they could have been prosecuted for that. Don’t pretend they suddenly grew a conscience and felt bad about screwing over all those they owed money to, most of whom were individuals and not big corporations.
Regarding Richie and his being taken to small claims court over $2000, I don’t think that is the same as Bankruptcy Fraud. I really don’t know why he didn’t pay it, but he went to court, fought it, and lost and had to pay it.
Teresa’s fabulous lifestyle before RHONJ sponsored by those they owed money to, is and was vulgar. I think her lifestyle was fake andd is now real, they are living within their means. I do agree that Teresa is a hard worker and I admire what she has done to support her ffamily.

Rich STILL hasn’t paid back that landscaping Guy. Even though the judge ruled in the landscaper’s favor, the landscaper said, to this day, Rich has not paid him a dime of that money.
Kathy is not upper middle class. She is a stay at home mom and does not work. Richie owns ONE gas station and has gotten charged for not paying Exxon. How are they middle class with one income that clearly doesn’t make a lot. They are fakers too.
I don’t know how much they make or where they fall on the income scale.
Based on the look of their home, their swimming pool, nice cars I said they appear to be living an upper middle class lifestyle. If they are living above their means, I’m sure that will come out.
My point was/is that saying someone isn’t wealthy enough to be on HW, while you are not paying your bills, is very hypocritical. I understand Tre was upset by them getting on the show behind her back, but I would think that finances would be a topic she should steer clear of.
By the way, there have been many HWs in many cities that were not wealthy when they were cast on the show:
Nene, Sheree, Laurie(OC), Bethany, a lady who worked for Vicki, and several others. Many of the ladies gained their wealth because of Bravo. If a healthy bank account was a requirement of the HWs, there might be only a few of the current HWs left in each city.

I do think that Kathy was wrong about what she said about Teresas parents but what Teresa said about kathys dad was not nice either. its not like teresas parents are passed so i dont think she should of said that
All Teresa said was that her dad was there for Kathy and her family when Kathy’s dad wasn’t around. That wasn’t an insult to Kathy’s dad or an insinuation that Kathy’s dad wasn’t there for her. Like always, Kathy twisted what Teresa said and used it against her making it seem like Teresa was bashing her dad.
