Jill Zarin Comments on RHONY & Launches New Jewelry Line
Former housewife Jill Zarin was notoriously fired from the series last year when Bravo did a complete overhaul. Jill opened up to TooFab about the new season of RHONY and her new project, Jill Zarin Jewelry.
Jill says about the new season, “I’ve watched a couple episodes here and there, and I’m still good friends with LuAnn de Lesseps.” When asked about Ramona’s behavior lately, all she has to say is, “I told you so! Ramona is everything I’ve said if not more so, you can ask Aviva Drescher or any of the other housewives.”
Family life has also improved since the Bravo cameras left, says Jill. “Everything is great! Last night I had a party with my husband, ex-husband and daughter, Ally, in the middle. I’m not a real housewife; I’m the real modern family. I am the example of what it should be.”
Although she is no longer a Housewife, Jill is using the platform the show provided to launch her own collection of affordable necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets. Just ask Aviva? Aviva went off on Ramona and Sonja for no real reason. I’ve never liked Ramona and have watched RHNY since season 1 (didn’t watch last season, couldn’t stand Kelly). Ramona came out looking like the sane level headed person.

Me too. I quit watching the show. I think Bravo gave her the bad edit they are now trying to give Teresa. I think she was no worse than Ramona. I think Ramona is far worse unchecked without Jill. They ruined the dynamic of the show. I am glad she has other business ventures though.

I never could figure out why Jill was so thoroughly hated. I loved her on the show (missed the first couple seasons of this one), and was sad to hear she was fired. I was actually pissed and boycotted the first few eps of this season because of it.
Did you all love Bethanny too? I hated her… still can’t stand to see that one on my TV. How’d I get upside down on this? LOL
Me too. I loathed Bethanny and liked Jill. She was not perfect but she was no worse than any of the others and Bethanny was self absorbed and mean spirited from the start. I think Jill was hurt by both Bethanny and Bravo and I do think she got the original bad edit that everyone is all over them for now with Teresa. The formula has not changed. Anyway there are a few Jill fans, you are not alone.
I LOVE jilly so there are plenty of “fans” of hers that i know. I have met her twice and have become very friendly and close with her. I understand that Jill might not be everyones cup of tea but she is like everyone else- makes mistakes. Some people seem to love to beat her up and nitpick. Life is short- so i posted this comment bc i enjoy focusing on the love and good things in the world. Happy Friday all
Your question made me think back Gela. What I could not stand was when she started doing shady things, targeted one woman at a time and tried to “gang up” with her idiot followers LuMan and Kelly. It was ugly that she thought she could “run” the show instead of a cast member.
The thing that made me dislike her most of all was the fact that she ALWAYS did or said crappy things, never ever would admit what she’d done and then tried to spin the story or rewrite history with the viewers. It offended me that she thought we were all too dumb to actually remember what she’d done and said. Heck….she’s still doing that. I can’t stand her.
