Jennifer Williams Drops Lawsuit Against Nia Crooks Regarding Slapping Incident!
I bet you didn’t see this coming! Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams has dropped her lawsuit against Nia Crooks regarding the slapping incident that was aired last season on the hit show!
Jennifer decided to drop the lawsuit because she wanted to move forward with her life. A rep for Jennifer tells TMZ, “Jennifer is already dealing with her difficult divorce and did not feel that it was necessary to continue to pursue civil action.”
Nia’s lawyer also made a statement saying, “We have always maintained that the frivolous lawsuit brought by Jennifer Williams was nothing short of a last-gasp attempt to maintain her dwindling relevance on the ‘Basketball Wives.’ Nia is happy to put this issue behind her and start looking ahead to work on her own career”

Oh god so she drops the lawsuit and that trash box has nothing to say but it was a frivolous attempt to remain relevant. Lawyers are such pieces of shit and Nia is unbelievable. You physically assaulted someone, if that was me my ass would be in jail. She should have released a classy statement along the lines of “glad its over and i learned from my mistakes.”
I know. If I drop anything it would be that damn divorce preceding, or at least put that on hold. I would definitely go after Nia broke ass super hard.

Nia of course got lucky just like her boss Evelyn. I feel bad for Jen because this divorce must be very difficult for her and the way her supposed friends treated her was disgusting. Everyone turned on her in a year’s time and it just shows that Jen has grown and Nia is still the same ignorant person. She should be grateful instead of smug.
I can’t believe the lawyer had the audacity to say “frivolous” when that “Dr. Miracles” needing, broke down “Lopsided wig wearing” hefer put her measly hands on her?! I can’t, I just can’t!!!
Me either!! What a shining example for the legal community. Im disappointed Jen dropped this. It was good example for the future nasty biatches on tv that want to pop off.
Jen was right to file charges. Maybe her and Nia have spoken and Nia explained that she got caught up in the drama and got carried away. Jen may have forgiven her. Or, maybe she needs her job back. I really hate when the cast members on the show bash the show and then regreat leaving after they are off the show. Don’t bit the hand that feeds you. If you are really un happy with the show, editing, ect, express you discontent in private with your boss or leave. Don’t bash the show publically to try to effect their bottom line, it will just back fire on you.
It just shows VH1 lack of character. They would love to let Jen go because she shows the world that it is not ok to put yr hands on another person and there will be consequences legally. They want to fire someone who is standing up to violence in a humanly manner and keep the ones who are showing the world that women behave like animals. I do not believe for one minute that Tammy, Evelyn, or Shaunie really care to change and they only said they wanted to to save their own damn jobs. Shaunie character is the worst because I hate a sneaky mess starter and that is what she is. I see through her!!! I thnk that the show sucess made her change…
ITA – the good thing is that we all know these characters now, this really showed what is in their hearts and minds. The public is behind Jen!
The comment made by her lawyer (or herself) was uncalled for they should be grateful it got dropped because she (nia) couldn’t afford it! At first I thought the lawsuit was unnecessary you’re on the a show full of violence you are bound to get slapped one day (not saying its right but it happens on this show) plus Jennifer tried to attack some chick in season 1 if I remember correctly. But anyways I just thought lawsuit was done out of angry (&payback) but after reading the lawyer statement she should have follow through with the suit. Nia been parading around town talking shit saying its Jennifer fault she got slapped. I DONT like Jennifer but she should have went forward. Nia is unapologetic, Hood rat with no class!
