Is RHONJ’s Gia Giudice Being Bullied In School Over Her Mom’s Show? UPDATE: Gia’s Manager Responds!
There’s no doubt that the Giudice family has received enormous attention since Teresa has become the star of a popular show such as RHONJ. The drama and scrutiny is sure to affect them, but is Gia Giudice being bullied by school mates over it?
Radar Online is reporting that Gia, Teresa’s oldest daughter, is being harassed by classmates over the drama that we see unfold on TV. A source tells Radar, “The show has been greatly effecting her daughter Gia at school. She’s being teased by the other kids and Teresa even had to go to the school to meet with teachers about it.”
The source continues that Teresa apparently does not care as much as she should because she loves the fame that comes from the show. “Teresa doesn’t care about anything but the fame. If your daughter’s happiness and safety isn’t enough reason to get off the show, then I don’t know what is. It’s really sad,” adds the source.
I think Teresa should probably try to control what is seen on TV when it comes to issues that may affect her daughters. I am not sure how accurate this article is, but it seems like this source is trying to create pressure for Teresa to leave the show. (I wonder who it could be.) I hope Teresa’s kids are safe and the show is not affecting them in this way! What are your thoughts on these claims?
UPDATE: Gia’s talent manager has replied to AllAboutTRH, saying:
Gia is NOT getting bullied at school. This is false info. Whoever the “insider” is playing off of an incident Gia talked about in this month’s issue of ‘M Magazine’, in which she recalled an incident that happened to her once a couple of years ago.

I don’t think that any school would give private and confidential information regarding any student to the media. Doesn’t matter who you are! They can be sued from the parents of the child. This would be a private matter if it goes on out of the school and then the parents of the bullied can press charges…..With bullying being in the fore front of everything, this could really blow up in the face of the person saying this!
I have to agree this is strange that is comes up two to three days after the article Teresa posted about Antonia looking like her and Tre saying she isn’t ugly, and how much she loves her.

What a non story. Bullying happens every day at every middle school. As a parent I can state confidently that it not a reflection of the kid that gets bullied but of those doing the bullying. Irrespective of what your parents do for a living the kids, where you live, what you wear, or how you comb your hair you can get bullied. Suggesting Teresa leave over it seems to be the opinion of an ill informed non parent. The school is legally bound to make it stop by working with the kids that are doing the bullying. My guess is that Bravo is spreading the rumours. I think its a negociating tactic. I wish Teresa would jump to another network, then Bravo can have what they apparently wish for a repeat of the NY debacle.

Teresa has been getting lots of pressure to leave the show from Anderson Cooper & Wendy Williams saying her 15 mins are up & that she should leave the show for her family’s sake, etc. Someone on Twitter pointed out that it may be a negotiating strategy on Bravo’s part to make her settle for less $ if she feels pressure.

I think society as a whole over uses the term “Bully”. I’m sure she may get teased but if it wasn’t about this it would just be about something else. Gia appears to be a smart kid. I’m sure if she doesn’t know already she’ll look back on everything and see just how strong her mother is. If T left the show over this I think it would be a very sad lesson for Gia. Turning tail and running when things get rough or things don’t go your way is nothing I’d want to teach my own daughter. Besides, why does the responsibility lie solely with T? Melissa and Kathy are the ones that started the majority of this. But of course any fall out for their own family seems to be of no consequence to them for their fame. It’s all either of them truly care about.
*Note* Yes this is assuming the story is even true. But as I stated, even if it was, I see no reason for it to cause T to leave the show. To me, that’s ridiculous.

I too think that Melissa, Caroline, Jac and Kathy are behind this story….Caroline brought up that T whored her daughter out to a teen magazine, disgusting and now this story about being bullied. They should all be ashamed of themselves for attacking an 11 year old. I also think that Bravo is manipulating the story line – I just don’t get why Bravo keeps preying on this one family when there are 4 other story lines they can surely find dirt on.

I watched WWHL the other night with Wendy Williams, in it’s entirety. When I read comments in this chat room, it seemed as if I watched a totally different show than a lot of you. Wendy may have her opinions about T (and others), but the main point of her saying that Teresa should leave was for the sake of her family. What on earth is bad about saying that?
And I don’t want to hear “Why shouldn’t Mel or Jac leave then?!?!” We don’t need a classic Teresa projection.
I firmly believe that Wendy said this because she likes Teresa (yes, she even said that she likes Teresa)and doesn’t want to see her family destroyed completely. I’m certain I heard Wendy say the same about Caroline, she said she had changed since season 1 and it was time to go. I think she meant it as a way for them to protect their private and family lives. I also agree that this isn’t a planted story to make Tre look bad or some crazy Bravo conspiracy to get rid of Tre. Bravo owes Tre nothing, if they are ready for her to go she’ll be gone. Absolutely, all of these ladies are replaceable. I love to watch and hate the villain on rhonj which I happen to think Tre is but she isn’t the only reason I watch and I will continue to watch long after she is gone. What I am curious about is all the Tre followers stating they will not watch next season if it’s going to continue to be four against one, everything I have heard and read is it will be the same cast next season. It’ll be interesting and I’ll still be watching.
I don’t doubt for a moment that Gia is tormented at school for the things that happen on RHONJ. I can just assume that some of the parents at her school are outraged at the language and behavior and have commented within earshot of their children. This is my personal belief only …. but I think Teresa is doing a disservice to her children by including them in the show so often. Better they be seen and not heard because they are too young to voice their opinions on camera about grown folks. There should be no twitter or other social media to further expose Gia to criticism. Don’t know where the story came from, but there is some validity that children need to be protected.
DebV, Excellent comment! I believe that Tre & Mels children have and will continue to be tormented for the way the parents behave on rhonj. I can’t evem begin to imagine what this would do to my children. Gia is at a very sensitive age, she has shown the viewers that her parents are embarrassing to her, all kids go through this but it is extreme in Gias case due to being in the spotlight and because her parents really are an embarrassment. It is very sad to watch, I also agree that the children are being over exposed on a show that is intended for adults only, children do not fit into to this show and I mean all of them not just Tres children.

The battle against bullying in schools has become huge in schools.Lawmakers and school administrators are pushing for a zero tolerance policy when it comes to bullying and I doubt that someone like Gia who in the public eye would be allowed to be bullied at school.Online trolls are a different matter.

Actually this story is true. The teen magazine M did a story on it with Gia in the magazine. She actually posted a pic of it on her twitter feed. Its sad that this is happening to her. As a parent I would do anything to protect my kids even if it means leaving a show.

Who ever put this crap out is playing off an incident that Gia talks about that happened a couple of years ago in her article.
After reading this article, I do not see what the problem is. Yes, this child has BEEN bullied, yes Gia was giving her side to this huge problem. This is a tween magazine, so it is written so a ten or eleven year old reads it, and at the end of the article, Gia writes how she copes with this problem. It didn’t say the problem goes away, or doesn’t happen anymore… It says Gia surrounds herself with people and friends who are positive influences in her life. So what does that tell you?
I think they asked Gia because she is the age of the readers and she could relate to them, as well as the readers could relate to Gia.
I completely believe this to be true. Kids will make fun of you for your name, your clothes, the way you talk. You honestly don’t think that they’re going to take advantage of the gold mine Tre is providing?

I really believe mewhore is behind this story. Mewhore is getting bashed right now for bringing kids into her battle with tre so now she needs the focus off of her. I have a beautiful daughter and she’s having issues with being bullied and she throws up and crys when I tell her that she has to go to school. I’ll admit that I don’t understand why this is happening, she wears name brand clothes and is very pretty with a huge heart. But she’s different …she is living with autsim, you can’t tell by looking at her but school work is a struggle! Gia in the story said that “GOT” bully years ago. Teresa has told many the story that she meet with the teachers and addressed it. No further problems.
Radar Online story is saying Gia “IS” currently being bullied and Teresa needs to get off the show.
Tom Murro that write for Radar Online talks with Jac all the time. I have even read claims that they talk every day. Personally I don’t think this is Jac and I really hope that she is finally getting help for her issues and spending her time with her sons that need a safe stable calm home.
I would not put it past Lookers to put the story out there simply since she is currently on a major press tour to trash Teresa on VHI, Wendy Willimas, US Weekly, just to name a few. She did a 6 minute interview with VHI the other day. Perfect time to discuss her music career but every second was filled with her trashing Teresa. What is more important to her? Music or destroying Teresa? Lookers actions and words are speaking volumes. Who would want Teresa off RHONJ more than Lookers? There can only be one star of a show and like it or not Teresa is the star and Lookers simply can not handle it.
Of course she’s not being bullied. Radar is anti-Teresa. All that website does is talk negatively about Tre. All schools (especially in NJ) have zero tolerance against bullying, so I know she’s not being bullied. Melissa seems like the source and needs to mind her business. She keeps selling false stories. Teresa needs to put a stop to this now. She needs to threaten to sue Melissa if she continues to put out false information.

Then why isn’t she protecting them from Bravo who constantly show her children in the worst possible light? If she was a good mother, whether this story is true or not, she wouldn’t allow them to be filmed and up for scrutinization by the masses.
Honestly, I don’t think that Teresa had any knowledge of the extent that the now fired producer,Cat Rodriguez would go to to help destroy Teresa and her family until it was too late. You have to remember that filming for S4 started prior to the airing of S3. Teresa didn’t know what her ex friends and family were saying behind her back until they were filming the 2nd half of S4.
What does the filming schedule have to do with anything? She has allowed her children to be filmed since day one. Bravo has never shown her kids in a positive light in any season. If her kids are being teased or bullied because of their parents behavior on a TV show, it is clearly the fault of the parents for staying on said TV show.
What about the behavior of melissa and joey? They are disgusting. What about jax kids, do you think the exposure from the show was good for ashley? Jax used her kids for a story line the whole time she has been on.

Who really cares where this story came from? There is definitely truth to this story for all the children of the parents. This is an adult show it involves adult situations,cussing, sex,back stabbings,lies,deceit,verbal bashing, threats of violence and much more. These children should be protected from filming rhonj. The younger children of the other housewives series are rarely seen, rhonj kids are thrown right into the crazy mix, Tre followers can attest to this, their always talking about how Tres children have so much air time because their children are interesting not boring like the other children, well her children are likely to suffer the most too!
I actually agree w/ you. Teresa’s kids do get the most airtime and the most well known of all so Im sure they do see some backlash. But what kid isnt bullied in school somewhat? I love Gia’s manager so much for taking the time to reassure us that Gia is okay, that was very kind.
I do think the timing of this article is interesting and am wondering what this media outpouring is trying to distract us from. Maybe nothing, I do not know. It is very interesting.
But, when all is said and done, those of us who love Teresa should have faith that she and Joe will take care of their girls. Sometimes parents do not know what is really going on at schools (and believing the school will handle it is a huge mistake, the schools are overwhelmed and their intentions are good, but it is too much), but I think T and Joe are involved and would figure it out. They will do what is necessary to help Gia. Private schools, tutors, whatever it takes. Tre ain’t afraid of no bullies!
And I think it is awesome that Gia has a lot of fans worrying about her and caring how she feels! We love you, Gia!
The interview for M Magazine was actually done at my Agency, and I was sitting with Gia and the interviewers the entire time. They chatted for about 45 minutes, and this topic about a kid saying something to Gia once a LONG TIME AGO was just one out of many, many questions. But, as in all media, they spun an entire story out of it. Personally, I think its a great read. What kid has not experienced bullying at some point, unfortunately? It is a hot topic that needs to be addressed, not just by adults, but by kids so that they can recognize how words and actions can affect their peers. Gia handled herself well in this interview, and is, by all means, a well-adjusted, happy, and socially NORMAL 11 year old. She is not bullied, but is actually a sweet kid that makes friends easily and it always willing to lend a helping hand or caring word to classmates and peers.

Did Gia ever take the speech improvement classes (to rid her of her accent) that you recommended in S2?
Also, wasn’t a conflict of interest for you, as Gia’s agent, to act as an judge at Beatstock?
Was Gia as embarrassed as she appeared to be when Teresa continued to not only reference but grab her “booty” on national TV?
