Things are not looking good for Joe Gorga’s wife. Countless rumors coming out in the past weeks about her and now it looks like she and Joe are being forced into a rental home after being kicked out of there foreclosed home!
An insider tells Radar,
“There’s always been a huge rivalry between Melissa and her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice, so this season is no different, and in an attempt to one-up her, Melissa and Joe will be moving to a better zip code. But the reality is that they will just be renting a home in an ‘elite’ neighborhood to cover up their not-so-ideal financial situation. Melissa and Joe are borrowing money left and right just to stay afloat. You’ll see Melissa and Joe embarking on a slew of new business ventures this season like workout DVD and books, but they’re literally taking any lucrative business opportunity they can because they have so much debt.”

Famewhorgas actually has a story that lists every loan and public real estate transaction by the Gorga’s the last ten years, including the loan details where Joey sold his parents house to secure his home building loan for this current mansion/spec house. It lists the current house loan as a building loan which I think would indicate they were approved for building and a sale of the home – not to occupy which would have required a different loan rate and structure. The story also talks about some shady transactions Joey Gorga did with real estate- pretty interesting and slimy as usual for the Gorgas. It showed they made some good money on some earlier home flips ( close to 1 million – so Melissa’s we could not afford diapers story was 100% BS) but not much in the last five years, so I wonder where Joe is getting his income (besides Bravo) since he is supposed to be a home developer/flipper. The Bravo money will go fast when you buy $25,000 Rolex watches for Christmas, and $30,000 recording studios with no resale value.
I think this story has been going around, because many people knew them and knew their financial situation. They knew their facade and figured it would only be a matter of time before it collapsed. They re-financed just a few months ago and took $500,000 on their line of credit. That is not a good sign. It appears to me that they believed everything they endorsed would turn into gold for them. I think it turned into “fools gold”.

So, hell (with all the bankruptcies and debt) that’s probably more than everyone on Bravo combined. I am hard-pressed to feel a lot of sympathy for this couple. They enjoyed the Giudice’s financial woes far too much. They can complain that they are merely suffering along with everyone else in the economy, but don’t forget that the Giudice’s financial problems came from the real estate collapse, too. As to the Gorgas, they have been so assiduously pursuing celebrity, hosting special nights at any bar that will have them and pimping their fame at events constantly, there has not been much time for Joe Gorga to pursue his actual career in construction – so no surprise that this neglected real work has suffered.

You are correct. They refinanced in the fall of last year. At that time they pulled out $500,000. 1.The house should never have been refinanced since it was on the market. Big NO NO! 2. how did they do a cash out refi when the homes (Pond and Shore) were not worth the new amount. 3. if they haven’t made any payments since the cash out it is MORTGAGE FRAUD!. The government in not playing around with fraud anymore. It is a prison term now plus paying the money back.
Teresa did over spend but she and Juicy used to make 6 figures prior to the real estate crash. She changed her ways once she know the situation. Joey was also in the construction business and instead of downsizing and watching their spending they have continued to lived the lifestyle they had before the crash.
If the house is really in or going into foreclosure they will lose the shore home at the same time since it is wrapped up together.

This is free enterprise at work, not poetic justice. this is the consequence of being stupid. They had more security in the bank than most people, and they threw it away. Their children will be affected too, not because they deserve it. They were set up for a fantastic, stable future for their family and they totally trashed it for a mere shot at getting on a reality show. If that gamble hadnt paid off, oh man, that would not have been a pretty sight, especially for their kids.

The Giudices agreed to settle their debts. In that case, income can easily get garnished and go to the creditors instead of directly to them. That could be a term in their settlement conditions. What makes you think their debt is still standing at $11m?
Not speaking in their case but if you settle debts, the creditor can settle for a smaller amount by knocking off interest amount, etc. Have you ever settled with a CC company? Then you should know this. If they were in debt for $11m lord knows how much they really will need to repay and if they have already. Regardless, one condition is for sure, they have TO PAY. Why are you still under the impression that they havent?

They we beyond broke no doubt–but even Joe and Teresa admitted most of the debt was in properties and rental units that lost a great deal of their real estate value in the 2009 recession – in which just 3-4 apartment rental units could total 10 million. Tre said they were able to sell all the properties but their home and one apartment building, greatly reducing the debt, renogotiated other loan payments and creditors and were paying off the rest. We all have no idea where that stands, could still be a few million owed, but it is also 4 cookbook contracts later (which always increase payment for each contract), 3 more years of Bravo annual payments, Celebrity Apprentice salary, her wine and hair care line, plus endorsements and appearance fees.

First, the documents. I worked with the court system for over three decades. Many factors must be put into place before a foreclosure is obtained. It starts with the bank, next the attorney, the title abstractor and all of the secretaries and typists in between. Anyone could have leaked this. If this is true the papers should be on file within the next 30 days. The gentleman who “leaked” this is an attorney. Just saying.
You mentioned “work”. That is the difference between Teresa and Melissa in my opinion. I do not think Melissa and Joe like to work. They seem to just enjoy making special appearances, in my opinion, it makes them feel like real celebrities. Joe should have gone back to flipping houses. Not as much money is made these days, BUT money is still being made. Joe decided to become a housewife. You do know many opportunities come “pre-packaged” for the housewives. Singing, for Melissa, was not a good choice. From what I see on the screen, work is not what she wants to do.
Season 5 will continue and Melissa and Joe will still be in their home. Let us just see what happens at the reunion.

The actual documents of foreclosure will not show up for a few months after they move, but the filings should be available. The filings are the documents presented to the court that allow the bank to require that they move. All I can say is; “ye shall reap what ye sow” Not sure where that comes from but it is very true. My former husband treated me to the experience both bankruptcy and foreclosure. One, years before he passed, the last a few months after his death. At least these two have each other amd their children perhaps they will learn what is truly important now.

what does it matter whether they rent or buy they still have to pay for it. Only downfall to renting is it will never be their’s. Actually renting is more expensive than it would be to purchase. So I am not sure if this true. But I guess we will see in the new season.

DVD sales are making so little money now of days most companies just give them away at promotional events or for free promotion – none of the housewives will make much of anything on exercise videos. Also, first time book contracts are notoriously very small paying and writers only make real money on follow up contracts, Like Tre releasing her fourth book (a ten times bigger pay day). Since new authors are unproven, Melissa will make very little for her book. Brandi most likely got a much bigger pay day agreeing to release celebrity secrets and scandals.
Does anyone remember Kim D mentioning something about Joey “borrowing “money from people? Did she say loan sharks, or just “borrowing”?
I don’t remember Kim D saying that but Juicy eluding to it at the reunion. Something along the lines that he had to borrow every week to pay the bills — Joey went ballistic and Juicy shut up.

So this is a TV show with people who live their lives in a heightened way for the cameras. A friend of mine knows a good amount of these women from the RHNJ and will say for certain that all are them are nice, but all of them are hungry for the fame and exposure they have received from this lunatic of a show. And I have to agree. What you see is not reality, rather a mass up of a story producers want you to see.
With that said…why are you people attacking each other about people you do not even know? Sure Melissa may be a fame whore, Sure Teresa is a liar, Sure Caroline is bitter, Sure Jacqueline needs professional help, and sure Kathy is…Kathy. These are characters on a “reality show”. You are all being mean to each other, for REAL.
These shows bring out the worst in those involved with the show, which then brings out the worst in us all that watch it, who then in turn spit the worst at one another.
Please remember you who fight with each other on here are fighting about matters that have nothing to do with your real lives. Are you breathing on your own? When its cold, do you have a home to go to and clothes to put on? When you get hungry, can ya afford food?

I am referring to the “roles” the show has them portrayed (either what you feel or what others feel, for christ sake, its a TV show). I don’t know these people in real life, so I don’t have my own opinion on them.
And why do you need to refer to them by mean names? I personally like Teresa’s character a lot, but again…its TV.

I am simply pointing out that people that come on this site are pretty vicious to each other about a show that is 10% real and 90% editing and story lines. Families are being destroyed (whether a husband and wife are out to be famous at any cost or whatever). The point is, we are all strangers and we are ganging up on each other (on a social media site none the less) to rip each other apart over people we do not even know.

I have not insulted anyone person on this site. I have read on here for a bit and it just seems to me that more fighting between people are on this site about how they feel with really unkind things to say to other.

If its only 10% real and 90% edited than why is a family really being broken up??? Because alot is real and when Melissa says things she says it really hurts the family period.
She broke that family when she came on the show. She wanted the fame and what Teresa had. That was not scripted, but I do believe the script was enhanced to make Melissa look like the “victim” — still LOL at that.

Maybe you haven’t been on gossip sites/ blogs, but this is what happenes. People go at each other over these shows / the people on it. What goes on this site, beleive me is nothing compared to others.
Skip over the posts that offend you. Post on the topic, and try not to school/ scold people on what they post, and you will be fine.

JPG you have admitted that you have not tried her products, until you do so don’t judge or call them shit. I have and they are quality products — love my milania as does my daughter and the cookbooks as well.
I don’t have to try them to know they’re shit. She’ll put her name on anything to earn a Buck. That tells me all I need to know about her products.
Is she a cosmetologist? No. Is she a dentist? No. Is she a chef? No. Is she a vineyard owner? No.
I’m sure I left out 10 or 11 other products she slapped her name on.
Well I don’t judge products until I try them. I don’t have a desire to try Kathy’s cannoli’s but I don’t say they are “shit”, just not something I choose to try. Again, most try products before calling them “shit”.
Good for “most” people. I’m me and if I’m spending my hard earned money on something, I want it to be produced from someone who actually has experience with and a legit background in the product they are selling.

While I firmly believe Melissa and Joe deserve whats coming to them, I do feel badly for their kids, all this moving around can’t be good for them.

JPG. I am not timid, just trying to show some respect for all the bloggers here on the site. However, now I am beginning to feel you don’t deserve it. You are correct–your rants and opinions have nothing to do with your defending Melissa— you just don’t like Teresa, therefore, you defend Melissa, to the point of lunacy.
This is where I have a problem with you. This is the reason people think that you are a Marco. Instead of being neutral and just addressing the facts and rumors, you consistently bash Teresa and defend Melissa. Please, let’s not forget, this is all for relaxation and enjoyment, and I am assuming, including you, that no one takes this seriously. You seem like an intelligent person, so the ranting and defending Teresa is where the problem lies for me. There comes a point where you have to just let the facts speak for themselves. To be honest, I think that Teresa and Melissa are both odd and attention seeking woman, but I do think that Teresa is a more honest person, to the “Gorga” born, therefore, she has less to prove than Melissa does. In reality, I really don’t care for either of them, but find it entertaining, which is what they are both paid to do–entertain us.
Personally, i wouldn’t really want either of them as friends. Way too much lying and drama.

JPG and I have gone back and forth a ton of times on this site. It got ugly several times, and that was both of our faults!
