Did Sonja Morgan Refuse To Pay Her Tab?
Looks like it! The Real Housewives of New York star was out Friday night having a fun time with friends. Sonja partied in the VIP section and ordered tons of drinks. When a waitress arrived over with the bill, NYpost says that Sonja responded, “I never pay!”
That’s when the owner Ian Duke discounted the bill but said he’d call the cops if they didn’t pay the bill. Sonja is denying the claims saying, “When the bill came, we saw it was almost $400 and said that doesn’t seem right.” Sonja adds that the owner agreed to comp a bottle before they even drank. She goes on to say, “We had a normal conversation. We said the bill was too high. He said it was OK and apologized. Then we stayed and danced.”
Sonja claims she was a wealthy guy who paid the bill with his credit card and that she too threw in a tip. Sonja says what really happened is that a fan came over to her VIP section to grab her, “These girls got very excited. Ten girls and three boys jumped the rope into our private section. I bruise really easily. This girl grabbed me. My intern had to tell her, ‘Don’t grab her!’ I got a bruise from this girl.”
Well that’s interesting! Do you think there’s truth to Sonja saying she never “pays the bill?”

If I were broke, I too would refuse to pay hahaha!
Sonja is broke broke broke broke. She didn’t pay because she has no money point blank. She thought she would have a big payday with that 80 year old banker and come to find out he was alot craftier than she thought. Also she was a fool using all of her money to do a movie and it didn’t go nowhere. She’s out and out, if I was her she should be getting it on with Aviva’s dad before it’s to late.
Sonja is broke, but usually places in the Hamptons and NYC will comp a pseudo celebrity. But she should not have counted on it and brought other dead beats like herself to party and drink.
Embarrassing! Sonja please stay home buy the $3 bottle and save the embarrassment.
I do believe Sonja has gotten away with never paying a bill in her past life, when she actually HAD money and, more importantly, had wealthy friends to pay her tab.
But now she’s trying to still live that lifestyle even though she’s broke. I think the reality of her situation is going to come crashing down on her head VERY soon.
Actually it kinda does further in the season where she finally can’t hide behind keeping that brownstone she has.
Ms. Morgan is dead dog dick broke and owes everyone under the sun. I seriously doubt that this “toaster oven gig” is going to sustain her plus “Sonyja in The City” is a joke based on her previous track record. If she were to lose her spot on NYHW she would be seriously screwed. She will limp along till she finds another geriatric lover with one foot on a bananna peel. Side Bar…she has turned into as big a drunk as Ramona!!

Great post! I totally agree with you. Whoever advised Sonja selling toaster ovens was the next best thing since the iPhone needs therapy. The people around her need to stop stroking her ego and get real with her.

I do not like Sonja and never have. She has the entitlement issue and frankly, she’s nothing more than a mooch!
By the way, if the guy she was with was so wealthy, he wouldn’t use a credit card. Wealthy people only eat and shop at chosen stores. They have what is called a tab at those chosen stores and the tab is credited to their name. Put that on my tab! Ever heard of that expression? Only a wealthy person can say that and they don’t have to say it, nor would they say it. The owners of these expensive stores know their wealthy patrons by name and know already to bill the customer. If Sonja’s so-called wealthy boyfriend pulled out a credit card, than ha, ha, she’s being conned.

I think Sonja is just confused. I like her, she is too funny. She may have been drunk thought that it was a hosting gig and these gigs pay these ladies an apperance fee, put them in the vip section, and also comp all of the drinks for them and their party. So, when they go out to these clubs, they usually don’t have to pay.

This lady was a waitress back in the days… her “entitlement” mentality was not instilled since birth. She is no silver-spoon baby. So she either goes back to normal or she should use her mouth to hook another big fish.
It is a very rare HW whom I actively dislike. I feel a bit badly for Sonja, as she is obviously enduring some deeper tumultuous changes. Perhaps this embarrassing story may cause her to reevaluate her lifestyle priorities. I like her and really do want to see her become fully independent and enjoy a great life.

Sonja needs to get off the top if the f-ING roof an Hit Reality Real Fast, Your all right she has NO MONEY ,NOTHING,GONE, BYE BYE, SHE HANGS WIT ROAMONA SO SHE CAN SUCK OFF OF HER…..
