Chad Johnson Loses HUGE Endorsement Deal!
It looks like it’s all over for athlete Chad Johnson. Over the weekend he head-butted Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada who he was married to for over a month and was arrested. After Chad was dropped from the Miami Dolphins, exposed for cheating on Evelyn while she was planning the wedding, got divorce papers, TV show got cancelled just a few weeks before it was supposed to air, and now he lost a very huge sponsorship! Coconut water brand Zico released a statement that they are terminating there relationship

However, in light of recent events involving Mr. Johnson, we have decided to terminate our relationship. Ouch! It just keeps getting worse and worse! Do you think Chad deserves this?

Evelyn is such a low-life-over-the-hill bully. I would bet when the truth finally emerges, she is the one that attacked [head butted] Chad. She absolutely has no life coping skills other than to become physically violent. I do not know why she is constantly rewards for such ugly behavior. I will not watch any show, event, etc… that she will be a part of. I am equally shocked that Shani ONeal would be associated with both Ev and Tami. How very disappointing as I thought ONeal to be a “class act.”

Sorry to say but if he was white, he would’ve had their “full support through this difficult time” . Smdh. He woulda been sentenced to therapy and the NFL woulda suspended him AFTER A VERY THOROUGH INVESTIGATION and fined him. He LIED to coach Philbin of the Dolphins and said he had never, EVER been in trouble before when he was found guilty of DV in 2000. He deserved to be fired. If he can lie about that I believe he’s probably lying about what happened with Evelyn and I really don’t think race issues apply here.

I watched the video. I didn’t think he lied. He said he doesn’t get in trouble with the law. I think what he does and says Is being exaggerated by eve to make him look worse.

Chelz, not just that Coach Philbin already has had it up to here with his attitude and verbal mishaps and so have the teammates. So I personally do not think his color has anything to do with this. I have never felt so disappointed in women before. I never thought I would ever see a bunch of women blame another woman for being hit by a man and sympathize with him because he is suffering the consequences for his actions.

Me too. There was one comment that I just wanted to say there are no words. But I decided not to. I can’t belive some of the things coming out of these women’s mouths. Makes me sick to my stomach. Ev isn’t perfect, but who of us is? I think it took alot to divorce him like she is. At the end of the day this is a man that she loves and just married. Good for her for not making excuses for him.

They are not even allowed to headbutt on the field anymore. Rules have changed with all the issues with concussions and safety. He did wrong, and she is not perfect either.As much as I don’t care for her, I do have a heart. They are adults, they made their choices, they have to live with it.
I realize they shouldn’t headbutt on the field and its against the rules, but just thinking that it is something that he might do based on what he does. It isn’t anything that would come to my mind to do in a fight.
This is a little OT – it is reminding me of the water polo matches at the Olympics. Holy cow, lots of unfair fighting, like kicking, scratching, pushing heads under water etc to get the ball. There is a lot of unfair fighting in sports.

Yet, when a story comes out about a domestic fight we are supposed to take eve side no questions asked. She is the one with the proven track record. He hasn’t given his side of the story.

Evelyn is violent. She’s proven that on TV no matter if the show is scripted or not. She’s not seen as a victim because the likely hood is she was fighting with him and not being beat. He shouldn’t have put his hands on her. But Evelyn being the spokeswoman for Domestic Violence? I don’t think so. And she does seem like a cancer to everything she touches. Karma has come back to her big time.
It is this thinking that is the problem. She must of done something to make him hit her. It has to be her fault. Women have struggled for centuries for respect. Women have always taken the blame when she is raped or beaten by a man because she must have done something wrong. This thinking gives abusive men a free pass. Women have been abused since the beginning of time but the fight against domestic violence has only had some success in the last 50 years or so. Protesters of DV have fought tooth and nail to bring the issue to the forefront to show how wrong it is. Domestic Violence shelters started appearing, although Animal shelters were built first. There are now so many organizations available for abused women. We have come so far…yet we still in 2012 have people blaming the women. It’s a smack in the face to all the hard work that has been completed over the last 20 years.

What has her show have to do with it? I keep seeing everyone reference it, but it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. She is horrible on the show! In addition, the mug shot of Chad shows him with no injuries, not a scratch. There is no proof that she attacked him physically. Did she attack him verbally…maybe. If I found a receipt for condoms for my husband you better believe there will be word…loud, angry words. The idea that you are still trying to blame her for being head butted astounds me. If a woman who is promiscuous is raped, would you blame her because of her promiscuity? Did she deserve it because of who she slept with yesterday. I disagree. I think the Pen State scandal had a big impact on sports and things being covered up because of the game. Fact is he wasn’t making it on the Dolphins. This was just the straw that broke the camels back.

It’s interesting that now you want to claim eve playing a part for the camera. We watched the show, we saw the hatred and anger in her. Chad has had a few reality shows, never seen any type of meanness or anger from him. What about shaunie? Thats not true. Because all the facts arent on the table. We are expected to pass judgement on Chad based solely on Eves statement and her many many leaks to her favorite blogs. We only have the details she wants us to have because she’s so worried about her image. Chad has kept his mouth shut. If it turns out that he did abuse her ill be the first to condem him. But i have personally watched female domestic violence. I have watched as the woman beat the shit out of a man and as soon as he pushes her away or knocks her down because she flug herself at him, she calls the police and he’s arrested. The behavior we have seen from eve tends to lead me and many others to believe theres more to this then what we are being told. I refuse to paint him guilty based on only her side of the story.

No Tenisha, I do not believe that. I think with this case if I were to judge any further I would like to see all of the facts and provocations if any, and also know the FULL story. No doubt he is an idiot for head butting. But in some case I have read about and have seen in real life or the news, some abusers do actually start off by breaking bones. They are not all created equal. Thats why I stated its not all black and white. While some are pegged as an abuser, they are not actually abusers either- some are defending themselves form being touched or assaulted first, but because they are men, they are charged with domestic violence. I wonder( not to be nasty here) if someone had actually pressed charges on Ev for assault on the show what would have become of her? Do you think it would have changed her path in life thus far? I do. This is one debate that could continue for years. Different states also have different legalities also and what is assault/domestic violence, etc.. Tenisha, do you believe in incidences being accidental, I mean do you think maybe for one second that its possible he could have been trying to defend himself without manhandling Ev hence the headbutt? I don’t know exactly what happened in that car but what I do know is that she had to get stitches and he did not have a mark on him. If she was the agressor in this he would have some scratches. She would have at least scratched him. We as women have to be really careful about how we treat claims of DV. All women have the possibility of being a victim of DV in their lifetime. If we are so quick to scoff at someone’s claim of DV because we don’t like them, how will you expect anything different of you become a victim yourself. How can you expect empathetic, fair treatment if you’re unwilling to give it to someone else?
@tenisha: everyone’s situation is different for the most part based on beatings, someone being killed by a spouse, verbal abuse,emotional, etc. If anyone of us for example were a victim of DV, it would not be taken the same way as some people are viewing Chad and Ev’s situation. Unfortunately, ( I hate to say this again to you) because of the way Ev has conducted herself, people in society are going to judge not just Chad be her as well because of her behavior.And about Rhianna, I don’t recall many people saying these things about her that they say about Ev. I don’t think she deserved to get hit but I think this was all for show and it went sour. She married someone that already had been beating her, has made $$$$$$$$$$$$ cap’ng on her relationships to really worthless men and now wants symphaty.
I am sorruy but she is not the proper person to tell anyone to “Speak up”. She didn’t while gettind endorsements, shows, wedding, $$$$$$$$$, etc. There are real victims out here tied to their bed, ok. Let’s stop the bullshyte and recognize real here.
BTW- the “Eve and Ocho” show was a one time deal… Don’t be surprised when the “Eve & Ocho” show premiers, then there is a second season showing them separated but reconciling and her supporting him.
None of these reality shows are really lived in reality or in the moment. It’s all a business. We are stupid to believe any of it. Real people with this much money and a place to go, leave a bad situation. Those that have no $ and shelter have little to none choice.
You are so wrong. Wealthy women who are getting abused face the same obstacles as those who are poor. They stay for the same reasons…fear. I wish some of you would do some actual research on domestic violence.
A higher percentage on DV victims are 99% boo boo…
Look up the demograhics. Let’s not confuse the type of “fear” here. Type of fear to a losing a life style, status, is it the same the type of fear to having to starve and sleep in your car or being stalked?

Money gives you resources to facilitate an easier break away in a situation like this. BUT (and this is a big “BUT”) if the person is weak to begin with, then that is a different story. Most of abuse victims are on both counts, the abuser and the abused.
Eve- I want to say her aggressiveness comes from actually being uber weak. Weak spirit people use physical force to appear “Strong”. Like abusers do.
