Caroline Manzo Talks New Book; Says It Has A Positive Attitude and Will Go Inside Her Feuds with Teresa and Danielle!
As we all know, Caroline Manzo will be releasing her own book, Let Me Tell You Something, in March of 2013. The book will delve into Caroline’s journey as a mother, wife, and how she feels she has achieved success in being those things. In her interview with Celebuzz, Caroline says that it is not an advice book, nor does she call it a memoir. Read the interview ahead!
Celebuzz: Why did you decide to write it at this time?
Caroline Manzo: Thankfully enough, it wasn’t really my decision. It was my PR people and my management people saying to me, “Now is the time. You’ve been on the show for a while and you’ve had the radio show and the columns that do well.” For me I just didn’t want to do anything without having my “peeps” so to speak. So they just kind of pushed me saying, “Now is the time to do it. What are you waiting for?” So, I did.
How did you decide what you would and wouldn’t include?
It pretty much was born from questions that I have gotten over the years from viewers. Primarily my relationship with my kids, the kids relationship with each other, my relationship with my husband and our marriage, and being entrepreneurs, sticking up for the rough times kind of thing and it kind of speaks to all that. And my attitude is always a positive one. It’s never a negative one. So it has a comfortable, no nonsense, and do-what-you-have-to-do in this life vibe.
Would you consider it a memoir or an advice book – a little bit of both?
I don’t think it’s a memoir. I don’t think it’s an advice book. I don’t feel I have the right to write a memoir. I just feel like I’m on a reality television show. At this point in the game, that’s called a mom of three kids that did a great job. I could pat myself on the back and my husband for that accomplishment. I have a great marriage. We’ve managed to carve out a very nice life for ourselves, but at the same time I don’t feel like I should speak to anyone. I don’t know, a memoir to me is something that’s very presidential. Presidents do that, people that really accomplish something in history in life. That’s not me, but at the same time I’m speaking to all the viewers that have asked me these questions.
Caroline adds she’ll be putting recipes into her book saying, “I talk about Lauren’s weight and what’s really cool is each of my kids when I tell a story about them, I include one of their favorite recipes. So, it’s not a cookbook. It’s just like here’s Albie’s story and here’s Albie’s favorite recipe. And there’ll be photos and things like that. What I love about it is when I speak about Albie’s learning disability and Lauren’s weight and Christopher growing up, there’s also a little sidebar from each of my kids saying how they were affected by it and how they saw it through their eyes coming from me which is pretty interesting.”
Do you address things in the book that have been questioned over the years like rumors and misconceptions about your family, such as the mafia connection?
Yes. I’ve never hidden from anything that has been presented to me. I’m a very proud person, proud of my family, proud of my life that I’ve built with Al. And at the same time, I don’t skirt around anything. We are an American family that has the same issues as everyone else. If something comes to me, I will always tell the truth because I’m not ashamed of it. I think there are things that you learn from every aspect of life: The good and the bad. So in this book, I talk about a lot of things in my life that have never been on the show that made me the person I am today for better or worse.
Do you address how being on the show may have contributed to your feuds with Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice and the way you handled them?
Without a doubt. I talk about that too and how that affected me. Because in my reality, that would have never happened. I would’ve chosen to walk away and just stay out of that person’s life but because you do the show you’re around them. You don’t have the option. And at the same time not having the option, you have to make a decision: Do I worry about losing fans or do I worry about being true to myself? And it’s that struggle, as well, that I talk about.
I am curious as to how this book is going to work out if Caroline maintains a positive attitude throughout. This is the woman who seems to have a permanent frown on her face, talks about herself in the third person and is always so preachy. In my opinion, this whole book seems like a published brag about how amazing the Manzos are (or Caroline thinks they are). This is just my opinion, however, and I will judge if I read the book when it comes out! I am curious as to what she will say regarding being on the show and her feuds with Teresa and Danielle. I don’t understand why Melissa said to Teresa “if you need to make a sig at us to sell a few more books, go for it,” when the only selling point of this book (to me at least) is the mentioning of Teresa and Danielle. Caroline stood there and agreed, but now is going to use Teresa to sell books? She also was “furious” over being mentioned in the cookbook in a joking manner, so how she could mention Teresa in her book and not expect backlash is beyond me. I highly doubt there won’t be at least ONE mean thing about Teresa in her book, and when that is published, it’ll be in print forever of how much of a hypocrite Caroline Manzo is. Also, I could care less about Albie’s favorite dish, i’m sure he’s tweeted and instagrammed it many times. This book is all about damage control, like Caroline’s new found “positive” attitude after season 4 has shown her to be not so positive, more like miserable.
Good point, Rebecca! She spat on the idea of Teresa printing a beautiful picture of them together in the cookbook and told her to take it out. She didn’t even want to be mentioned it it. Though I’m sure she has some way of twisting this to justify mentioning Teresa in her book, whereas Teresa was crucified for mentioning ANY Manzo in hers. The hypocrisy never stops.
I know! and what’s worse is Teresa made comments about the meatball contest (aired on Rachel Ray) and the 1/16 Italian comment that was also aired that same day. The problems never started until the cookbook took off and did really well. Then Caroline was annoyed. She obviously thought “oh well Teresa will never sell any of these, so it’s fine” and then she got on CA, now has 3 cookbooks, magazines week after week (whether she gets paid for them or not, it still helps her other products sell), now her haircare line, the teeth whitening, her drink (i’m sure there will be more to come) and I’m sure Caroline writhes over the fact that Teresa has had all of this post-2nd cookbook success. Caroline probably thinks “if it wasnt for her using my name, she never would be where she is”
I think I finally know why Teresa called Caroline “1/16th Italian or Olive Garden Italian. Teeresa speaks Italian to her mother and it is a big part of her life. Caroline is like most of us (including me) with italian heritage. Not a big part of out lives, its where our grandparents lived. So I guess It wasn’t really mean. Pattigirl, you could be right about that. Teresa is a different kind of Italian. Her parents emigrated here while Mrs. Gorga was pregnant with Teresa. She grew up in a very traditional Italian household, not even Italian-American. It wasn’t until she began going to school that she even learned English.
Caroline, on the other hand, is like most other Italian-Americans where we acknowledge that it is part of our heritage and we celebrate the traditions.
I don’t know about the rest of the country but in the NY metro area (where I live and where RHONJ are) there is a very dense Italian-American population. Some people seem to take this very seriously, as if the more Italian you are the better. People will go to great lengths to advertise their Italian heritage and will sometimes try to make themselves appear more genuinely (off the boat) Italian than they really are. I always got the impression that Caroline was one of these people. Just by the fact that she brings it up ALL the freakin time (“we’re Italian this, we’re Italian that…”) and the comment she made during the Italy trip about being resentful that she was never taught to speak Italian by her parents (which is BS, she’s 50 years old, could have learned it on her own if she wanted to). So it must make her seethe with jealousy that Teresa is a first generation Italian-American, that Italian is her first language and she is steeped in genuine Italian traditions, rather than diluted Italian-American traditions. None of this is even Teresa’s fault, it’s just a matter of when/where she was born and to whom. But in Caroline’s head it is enough to get the green-eyed-monster going.

You are exactly right. Do you all want to know whats funny? How much do you want to bet that danielles book will sell more copies? I may not be fond of danielle but at least she isn’t like caroline. I actually see now in these last few seasons why she was so upset over caroline and wacko digging into her past and trying so hard to embarrass and humiliate her. She may have her flaws but I feel bad that in a way because I judged her over what the manzo’s and lauritas did to expose her past I assumed based off of what they did and how bravo presented it. She didn’t get a fair shake and had they given her a chance she would of definitely brought more drama but I believe she would of fit in a little better. Nothing like an entire work environments that is hostile. Now teresa has been experiencing what danielle went through with these spiteful, nasty people.

Yeah danielle got bullied. And because she wasn’t a sympathetic character so viewers turned on her and we didn’t catch on to Caroline’s nasty personality or her agenda. I kinda feel bad for danielle too. But after season 4 we know that Caroline is a bitter, proud bully with a fragile ego.

The PR person who talked her into this should be fired. First for coming up with the idea now rather than two years ago before Caroline alienated so many fans and secondly for her doing press describing the content like that. I agree with all of you though, that Danielle was bullied by Caroline and now it is happening to Teresa. I never judged Danielle for what happened it her past. I just thought she was a lunatic based on her behavior on the show (doing drive-bys at Caroline’s party, bringing bodyguards everywhere, her nonsensical ramblings, dating a guy 20 years younger than she was, etc). But I can see now that since the focus was on Danielle’s lunacy, Caroline’s antics were overshadowed by it. Now it is hitting closer to home because her vitriol is aimed at Teresa and people love Teresa. So it ain’t flying this time.
I also never thought I’d ever have sympathy for Danielle Staub but oddly, I do. I wouldn’t be upset to see her back…even if it was just at the reunion.
Why Teresa should do is beat her to the punch and write abt the feud first. She try to wheel ppl in saying she’s going to write abt Teresa..IMO she can write abt Teresa all day I will NEVER buy her book and hope its a flop..bec it’s that jealously that ruined a 10 yr friendship

I don’t think I could stomach an entire book of Caroline discussing how wonderful she is – her kids, her husband, the Brownstone, her cooking, her viewpoints, etc. There was so much just in this interview that made me choke with anger because she is so full of crap, I don’t think I could handle a whole book of it. Positive? Successful radio show? Truthful? Her delusions and her hypocrisy know no bounds and what is worse is that because she is so arrogant, she operates on the assumption that everyone else is dumb; that we don’t remember things that she has said, done or written that PROVE what a liar she is and what her character is really made of.

And will she admit, the only reason they came out with Lauren’s lapband surgery, is because it came out in all the blogs? Will she also talk about demeaning Ashlee and Lauren, and Gia. Will she talk about calling Lauren an a$$hole?
I don’t believe the publishers have followed the show. If they did, there is no way they would have worked with her. Have they seen Caro in action? Having her temper tantrums on national television. Repeatedly, Dina has said in interviews that Teresa was NOT the problem between her and Caroline. Caroline keeps calling Teresa a liar when she says she did nothing to come between the sisters — that means she is also calling her sister Dina a LIAR when she insists the problem has nothing to do w/ Teresa. So the problem lies with: yeah, right…..Caroline!!

I think Teresa should get an injunction to stop publication. Anything Caroline has to say about Tre will most likely be slanderous. Lastly, caroline tweeted that she was looking at apartments in Hoboken for herself, Al and Lauren. I know! When she was on WWHL I think in July a caller called in and asked her why she still talks about Teresa. Her response was this was taped a year ago I haven’t talked to her since. If it’s not a memoir or an advice book, then what the hell is it exactly? The book is titled Let Me Tell You Something. Sounds like all she is going to “tell” is the favorite recipes of her children, Lauren’s lap band surgery (I wonder if she’ll discuss her own) and weight struggles, Albie’s learning disabilities and her reasons behind her arguments with Teresa and Danielle. Who thought this would be a money maker? Her “peeps”? This book will be an epic fail as it should be.

Once again I am delving into the psychological issues of the Real Housewives of Bravo television. Again I must preface my post with a disclaimer that while I have a legitimate psychology degree, I am not a mental health professional. My conclusions can only be based on what I see and reliable sources, such as direct interview, so take the information with a grain of salt. These posts are intended for entertainment purposes only, if you are not entertained I apologize.
Today I am examining the behavior of Caroline Manzo, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Bravo. It is easy to see that Caroline is devoted to her family, extremely devoted. It is also easy to see she has some serious control issues. She also seems to be judgmental, rigid and moralistic. Bear with me here but I see that she is a mother, the head of her family, that is her job and that is her obsession. I think she has Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder that centers on that, her utter devotion to and control of her family.
Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder is a pervasive character disturbance involving one’s generalized style and beliefs in the way one relates to themselves and the world. Persons with OCPD are typically deeply entrenched in their dysfunctional beliefs and genuinely see their way of functioning as the correct way. They tend to be deeply committed to their own beliefs and patterns, resistant to accepting anyone or anything that does not adhere to this rigidly held belief system. Most often, people with OCPD place blame for their unhappiness on external circumstances. people or their environment but with OCPD it is one’s dysfunctional philosophy which produces anxiety, anguish and frustration.
With Caroline, we see her with her family, always being the authority. Her way is the only way. Her children must pursue goals in her manner. Lauren must take certain beauty classes, Albie must continue with the law regardless of struggle, Christopher will be in the family business, somehow Caroline will make sure these events occur. Supportive? Yes. Also a bit controlling and overly involved in my opinion. These *children* are all in their twenties and still living at home, throwing ham and living their lives with their parents supervision and guidance. Whenever one of the *kids* deviates from the path that has been set out for them we see Caroline swoop in and play fixer. They are not allowed to fail or learn from their own mistakes, they are lectured and supported to smooth and bolster them to continue on the given path.
Although rarely observed by others, the experience of inner turmoil within this syndrome is immense. As much as others are often victimized by OCPD’s oppressive and demanding style, the high standards often apply two-fold within the OCPD sufferers’ expectations directed toward themselves. It is not uncommon for a person with OCPD to feel deeply entrenched in the belief that they are a *good person*. This belief can paradoxically often lead to feelings of depression and disappointment. The high standards which their idealized self is expected to live up to are often far beyond the capacity for any human being to consistently fulfill. Since ones humanness prevents an OCPD sufferer from living according his own high standards, a tremendous amount of self-hatred is imposed.
Within the OCPD population is a cognitive style characterized by dichotomous thinking. Dichotomous thinking is the tendency to categorize all aspects of life into one of two perspectives, all good or all bad. The world is viewed predominantly through clearly defined black and white realms. All that is pure and wholesome is valued. It can take only one stain or blemish to have the person completely find justification in discarding anything which evidences a flaw.
I think that is really the way Caroline is. She barely knew Danielle yet finding out she had a tainted past sent Caroline into a tizzy. Immediately she did not want anything to do with Danielle or for Danielle to have anything to do with her family, friends or intimate social circle. She did not give Danielle a chance to explain, judging her without hesitation. When Jacqueline continued to be friends with her, she railed that Danielle was causing a split in her family and that Jac was allowing Danielle to influence everything. To be frank, Caroline’s focus on Danielle is every bit as much to blame for that as Jac’s friendship with Danielle was. It is really out of line to tell other adults who they may or may not associate with. Caroline hammered and hammered away at the situation until she got her way.
For persons with OCPD, facts and confidence are all too often turned into I’m RIGHT and your WRONG. The way I see it represents the way it is, end of story. For others, refusing to yield to the correct perspective often entails encountering tension and discord. This manifestation of OCPD entails one’s adamantly guarding his dogmatic beliefs to such a degree that casual conversation often converts minor disagreements into heated debates. The relative importance of any topic rarely is of consequence in determining the degree of the intensity expressed in the midst of the debate. For the person who experiences OCPD, abstract ideals and moral standards become rigidly held truths.
Caroline is very rigid indeed. She never admits to any mistake in judgement or apologizes for any turmoil she causes those around her. I realize many of you may agree with Caroline and her assessments but whether she is right in her judgements or not is beside the point. The fact remains that she judges people harshly, they are either good or bad and nothing will change that view, she then bullies those in her circle to think exactly as she does.
She is blind to flaws within her family or friends, their bad behavior is always excused or justified. Ashley can assault Danielle and she is merely defending the family. Christopher can do a stripper car wash and he is an over eager go-getter, wink wink. Teresa can flip a table and pot stir fights and she is only a passionate woman or just being *Teresa*, giggle. Those bad behaviors are merely silly or justified. Point this out to her and if you push her, she will continue to defend their bad behavior. Even if she has to scream, cry and rage at you to do it, her friends and family are never wrong.
It would not be unusual for an OCPD sufferer to literally take delight in being wronged, since it affords them, what they perceive, as the justified opportunity to deliver a steep punishment. The term righteous indignation was probably conceived with this perspective in mind. Crossing a person with OCPD provides her the license to hold a grudge and forever hold your mistake over your head.
I feel with Danielle, Caroline takes joy in the conflict. She loves blaming everything on her. It gives her someone to make her look better in life. She is clearly superior to this *garbage* in her mind. I fail to see how anyone can see this play of righteousness as being healthy. She likes to play victim, to see her family as innocent and good and Danielle or any of her supporters as all bad.
In a conflict with someone who has OCPD, the non-OCPD person might be motivated to desperately seek closure. In the process of attempting conflict resolution, the non-OCPD might discover that every minute the quagmire becomes deeper and deeper. It is almost as if the mere effort to find resolution is a punishable offense. In a close relationship, encountering this zone of contempt is bewildering and frightening. All one wants to do is to bring this controversy to an end, and then, you are punished for not being willing to deal with the issue at hand. Within this zone, the person with OCPD feels a great need to bring about absolute clarity for the issue to be resolved. Once again this need for the perfect resolution creates a seemingly never ending tweaking of the issues. Agreeing to disagree is rarely a reasonable solution and often not in the scope of the OCPD’s world.
This really is Caroline. She will not let the Danielle thing go. As obsessed as Danielle is with the Manzos, Caroline and her crew are always talking about her. The healthy person would simply move on, refuse to engage. Caroline takes the more passive aggressive approach, pretending to be trying to move on but not really. She stews about it and she also contributes to other’s obsessions such as Teresa and Jacqueline. You can see the smirky glee at every report of Danielle, the I told you so attitude. She then of course says she did not want to talk about her but we all know if Caroline did not want Danielle discussed she would not be, Caroline always controls things.
OCPD sufferer feels that a lack of genuineness is wrong and being totally open, no matter what the consequence, is the only option. If others are offended by what I say, too bad for them. Moral righteousness and preaching morality as a dogmatic necessity is not an uncommon expression of OCPD. Both of these realms are steeped in the potential for the OCPD sufferer’s truth to override consideration and respect.
Caroline has no issues being blunt to the point of being hurtful. I think she broke Jacqueline down with this method. I also saw this in action by Caroline taking Danielle’s book around New Jersey, informing everyone that she knew about Danielle’s transgressions. Not necessary, she had no call to smear anyone whether it was true or not. What kind of person delights in trying to ruin another person’s reputation, particularly one with children who will be hurt by it? Regardless of Danielle’s past it was uncalled for and it was not Caroline’s business to broadcast Danielle’s issues to the world.
Overall I feel that Caroline is ruled by this moral indignation of her form of OCPD. I feel she is blind to the flaws of who she has already deemed as good and worthy individuals. I feel no matter what someone she has deemed as bad or outside of her circle does that they will remain bad and therefore, the enemy. I feel she controls her family and friends and that she always needs to get her way. I also feel she is unforgiving and inflexible to anyone who she feels is not one of *hers*. I feel that she systematically will try to get rid of anyone who might try to *contaminate* her perfect group, her family. The maintenance of this group’s goodness is her job and keeping them on the right path is her only responsibility.

Is reluctant to delegate tasks or to work with others unless they submit to exactly his or her way of doing things

This totally describes Caroline. Except I would disagree that finding out about Danielle’s past is what sent her into a tizzy because Caro has had criminal friends such as Bernard Kerik. She just used Danielle’s past to justify ostracizing her. She didn’t want Danielle to be friends with Jacqueline and Dina.
Now she’s trying the same crap with Teresa, because now she’s threatened by Teresa’s success, and envious of her relationship with Dina.
Caroline needs someone to hate on. She needs to force others to take her side to validate herself. It makes her feel powerful and loved. Very sick person. One day her children will notice this. I predict it will happen when the boys marry and have children.
Hotsummersday, that’s true about Danielle’s past not being the thing that caused Caroline to not like her. With Al’s best friend being Bernie Kerik, Tiny Manzo for a father-in-law, and Chris Laurita facing federal embezzlement charges, it’s obvious that staying on the right side of the law is not high on this family’s list of priorities.
Caroline just didn’t like Danielle from the get go and she had her investigated. Caroline stated during the Atlantic City episode that before she likes someone she doesn’t like them. And she also said prior to that that she didn’t like Danielle because she was getting too close to Jacqueline too quickly. So she just plain didn’t like her. I believe there was also some tension between Danielle and Dina prior to filming season 1 which could have added another reason. After having her investigated and discovering what she did about Danielle’s past, Caroline then simply had a reason to justify doing what she did to her.
But all of these still point to OCPD – the unnatural obsession with her own ideals, the right vs. wrong, the need to ostracize anyone who does not fit her rigid set of morals, the justification of behaviors from her own people but crucifixion of those she doesn’t like for doing the same things (applying double standards), the prolonging of conflict despite saying that she is over it, etc. These were all things she did to Danielle and is now doing to Teresa.
If Teresa is an “evil bitch’ then kudos to her for being a wonderful actress at hiding her “evil bitch” attitude and kudos to her for biting her tongue while the rest of her cast mates act like rabid animals. Evil bitch or not, Teresa is laughing all the way to the bank while Caroline and co. have one failed business attempt after the next.

The past 2 seasons have been nothing more then a Teresa gang bang. This past season has been nothing more than a giant Infomercial. I have never seen a franchise more desperate to brand themselves as the NJ Housewives have. Caroline the “Entrepreneur”. Kathy the “Pastry Queen”. Melissa the “RockStar” Jacqueline the “advocate” at the end of the day the only Star that has emerged is Teresa. She did it first and she’s done it best!! The rest of these ladies are second rate knock offs. If you paint the sole of your shoe red does it make it a Louboutin? I think not!! I’m so disgusted with Bravo, these hideous women and the BS they’re shoving down our throats!!

I heard he wasnt accepted into Law School period. But i have no idea if thats true. I kind of believe he was too consumed with being on a reality show and started failing. Law School is no joke. Its interesting to me because they gave poor Ashley (i know most dont like her) such a hard time for being so interested in the reality show… yet all the others were just as obsessed.
Yes they did! For how many seasons week after week Large mArge and her crew would talk down to and talk sh*t about Ashlee. She wasn’t doing anything different then Albie,Chris&Lauren. The 3 of them weren’t going to school and also had no J.O.B. Hell Large Marge bought Lauren her own business then Lauren talk to Ashlee like she was a POS because she wasn’t taking it serious doing the drawing for her. Maybe she knew it was a bunch of BS and didn’t want to waste her time. Didn’t Lauren quit that business after 1 whole day?
Ashley never had a chance against these bullies and Carolyn loved to play like the big therapist who pretends to have all the answers. All I could see Jacqueline doing was poor mouthing sometimes silently and other times outright mean cursing etc. I know Ashley got on my last nerve but I now understand her more and why she reacted the way she did against some of the adults. I will always remember the day Caroline and Jacqueline decided it was their place to correct Teresa’s daughter Gia.
I think I can see that- being too consumed with the show! And if his disability was such a crutch or obstacle to overcome, how did het get through High School so well? I absolutely refused to do anything negative about any of the other ladies. I did speak to being on Housewives and how it changed my world in so many ways, but it’s just about me. It’s about my kids and my marriage and my world now. Again, at 46 at the time [when I joined Housewives], taking that leap of faith. It’s a positive thing — nothing negative at all. I hate negative — it makes me insane. Nothing negative about any Housewives — franchise-wide.
actually, Roxy’s story didn’t say that Caroline was going to talk about Teresa or Danielle…more that she would talk about the effect they had on her life. There are tons of other sites out there, this is one my favorites. As for the Bravo polls, when Teresa is involved (only time I vote), 1/2 the people I know can’t text their vote.
We know Bravo monitors comments on their blogs and Facebook. We also know their polls are bogus. Others … Most blogs that speak to Jac and Melissa (the source) will speak positive about them. Its equal to blackmail.. if teresa doesnt have the time to leak stories they wont write positive stories about her. They get the dirt from the others so naturally want to keep those housewives happy. Just my opinion
I agree that Bravo chooses which comments to post and which not to post. That became clear to me with RHONY. When I saw that happening I quit submitting comments. Strange cause that’s what got me hooked on the darn housewives in the first place.

If you look at all the comments on Caroline’s blog from viewers, the ones that hate Caroline get a lot of “likes” from other viewers which doesn’t make sense if they all love her.
I will add that that with the Bravo WWHL polls, since the Manzo family (since they spend their LIFE on twitter), including wacky Jac, ALL of Melissa’s skanky sisters and butt-kissing Kathy sit there and vote and vote, and vote and vote until their fingers bleed against anything that has to do with Teresa. The polls SHOULD be closed to all of them. Biased – much?

Keep in mind, if Caroline is boring on television, most likely her book will put you to sleep. If she were interesting, wouldn’t she still have a radio show? Hmmmm? lol
Anyway, I am going to tell you how to handle this should you feel the sudden, curious urgency to buy her book….
Go to Barnes and Nobles, buy a cup of Starbuck’s coffee, have a seat and read the book free.
This will also work at your local library. It’s okay to peek through the book, but at least you won’t feel guilty for buying it. lol

Apparently Kathy you can’t have much life experience or you’d realize that age is nothing but a number. A 50 year old like Caroline for instance…can sit at home on her behind for over 50 years, raise 3 not so fantastic children, alienate many family members and basically make herself a huge public liar. I might add that she is also several years younger than Caro’s brood, and has a hell of a lot more going on than they do. If you are on twitter (I’m not, but i read the NJ-related tweets), you have to check out @lisaslying. It sounds like she has some really bad dirt on Joe Gorga. I hope Roxy gets the scoop on this one. If I followed it correctly, I think that Joey’s dad sold off his property, including his home, to get Joey G out of a non-business related legal scrape a few years back. Joe Jr. then moved his parents into one of his investment properties – only to sell that out from under them. THEN, he sabotaged a plan for T to move them into her house. My guess is, that garage that T and Joe were building was a place for her parents to live. Joe Jr. apparently called the building inspector on his sis and now her parents have moved into an apt.!

Now we have all the negative comments and the tags on Amazon, and so now she does an interview that she will also include juicy comments and interactions with Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice. I guess both her and the publisher see that no one is interested, so hopefully now if she gives up dirt on her interactions with Danielle and Teresa, I guess they are hoping will want to buy it for that reason. This will be the first book I’ve ever bought by one of the “Housewives,” and solely because Caroline’s writing it.
I think Caroline has changed the most, and for the better, because of the whole reality show experience. She’s been very forthright about this in her non-HW interviews and admits to it having been a major learning experience for her in terms of how she views other people. This interests me very much, not just that she sees her mistakes and LEARNS FROM THEM, (ex: crediting gossip from so-called “friends” to judge others), but that it’s made her much more curious about and interested in people outside of her immediate friends and family. This is going to work for her immensely in whatever she chooses to do after this.
I think she’ll be the most honest chronicler of this whole experience, and I trust that she’s her usual, blunt, “Bulldog” self.
Oh, ok. Make sure you wait cause it will hit the sales rack or the 99 cent store in a week. And keep your reciept in case you want your 99 cents back. What tips will you learn from her? How to treat people like shit? No thanks. The way she talks about people and treats them is nasty. But i hope they do have pica of when lauren lookes like a hamburglur and the recipies of what she ate so much that made her fat.

I read most of the comments bit not all so I don’t know if this was mentioned….
But a couple of quick observations:
1. I could have sworn I heard that Caro didn’t have PR people or anyone- that she was just a HW.
2. Isn’t the suggestion from her PR that she write a book (that she never wanted to write in the first place a little suspect condsidering it will come on the heels or just preclude Season 5 (must be to keep her relevant and give her a storyline).
3. She better be very careful when she spouts off about how great her Big Al is when rumors now are heating up about his mistress Jill
4. As Mego says…. If she’s gotta write a book and throw people under the bus to make a buck, who are we stand in her way?
