Caroline Manzo Comments On Lauren’s Dramatic Behavior
RHONJ star Caroline Manzo took to her blog to comment on Lauren’s behavior on there Napa trip and explains why she reacted the way she did over it. Caroline also talks Sunday’s episode!
“I want to address Lauren’s behavior and my comments regarding it. As I’ve been saying since the beginning of the season, Lauren was in a very bad place and not acting herself at all, and you saw some of that on last night’s episode. Understand one thing, I love my kids more than anything in this world, but when they overreact or behave badly, they will hear it from me. Lauren overreacted when she heard about Lindsey moving in with Albie and over the boys’ little nudges during the trip too. When my boys are guilty of the same, they also are addressed by either Al or myself — there’s no favoritism in the Manzo house. Al and I are lucky enough to have an extraordinary bond with our children. The kids fight like crazy, but they love each other to death. Make no mistake, we tell our kids we love them every single day, but when they are behaving like an ass, we address it. My kids aren’t perfect and need to be told to straighten up every now and again. It makes us a normal family; the Brady Bunch we are not. Welcome to the world of the Manzos, everyone.? ?The surfing scene was great. It was so much fun to watch everyone going out in the water and flail around, ultimately taking on the challenge and succeeding. I have hundreds of photos, maybe I’ll put them on a disc and send them over to Bravo to put on their website; you guys will enjoy them!
How funny was Melissa on the river? She was literally in about a foot of water, all she had to do was stand up and run! Watching as she climbed all over the Joes trying to get to safety was so funny! We have some really great video of the water fight and more pictures of that too. Note to self, get to work on that disc…
Vito’s bear tattoo… I have no words. I was in the RV when everyone started screaming and laughing. I’m just grateful I wasn’t there to witness that! ? ?Joe Gorga and truth or dare… Did you guys expect him to not take the dare? So funny, and the unsuspecting “victim” was a good sport so we all had a good laugh. Thank God for those few stolen moments here and there, laughter is always welcome in my world.

I find it odd that she addresses everything that went on with the episode except Teresa confronting Jacqueline. I do think Lauren overreacted but she’s always been dramatic. Thoughts on what Caroline had to say?!

Now the beginning of the trip with Lauren was throwing a hissy fit because Juicy took some salami and “that was for the Manzos and the Wakiles” that was okay with Chuckie because she was being a bully just LIKE HER MOTHER. But when she argues with her brothers – it’s not okay. Maybe she was having PMS – it wasn’t a big deal – she blew up and went to be by herself. Now Chuckie calling her an A$$HOLE was a BIG DEAL. She doesn’t need to explain Lauren – she needs to explain herself.

I agree, yes Caroline, kids act up and need to be spoken with from time to time. I hope you mom called you about calling your own child an a$$&@! on national tv. Teresa has better parenting skills in her little finger than Caroline and Jacqueline combined. First they trash talk Ashley off the show, (Ashley’s a brat but it certainly takes a unique mom to label your child repeatedly as a lazy, drinking, party girl on footage that will last forever, I feel for Ashley having to explain that to her grandchildren) then Caroline and Jacqueline tag teamed to bully a 10 year old rather than get her parents, see some of us when hosting a party try and make guests comfortable not torture the,, lastly rounding out this seasons parenting lesson, we have Caroline calling her adult child an a$$&@! On Tv. That is not Italian parenting, it’s child abuse.

why is it bothersome that grown kids call their mom ” mommy “??? If your from NJ or the north I’d imagine most adults even call their parents mommy and daddy still. Heck I know MY mother who is 50 and still calls my Bam-mom ( my Grandmother ) her mommy when she’s talking to her sisters or brother, or even us. I don’t find that odd, it all depends on how you grow up. Until 2 yrs ago when my Pop ( my Grandfather ) passed away she would even still refer to him as daddy. It wasn’t meant in a baby way it was what she called him, and still does refer to him that way when talking about him to family. I don’t understand why this bothers you so much? People in the south call their mom’s mama…is that bothersome? Not being hateful, just confused on why it is so bothersome to call your parent that is all.

I so agree Hoolie! I am originally from Long island,now in Ct and we always called my mom Ma. Ma. and my son whom is 21 now says Ma maaaaaa all the time,it is simply a north thing.But I must say anything at this point that has to do with Caroline simply makes me see RED! LOL I actually have stopped watching my favorite NJ housewives because it breaks my heart,but from time to time I jump on this website to really see what is happening and I am in shock at how the show has been ruined by this nastiness towards Teresa.
I’m from Philly (I live in South Jersey now) and my brothers and I refer to our parents as Mommy and Daddy when we talk to each other. Everyone I know or grew up with does the same.
My husband is from Pittsburgh and they say Ma and Daddy. I think it’s cute
I’m from the same area ( South Jersey ) and I find alot of people here call their parents that, it’s not odd or weird, it’s just what they grew up with. Now see I grew up in the South ( Ky ) for awhile ( but originally from NJ ) so I grew into calling my mom ( momma ) which she hated for the longest time b/c of how she always called her mom ” mommy ” she would always say ” I’m mom or mommy, not momma!” lol But she got used to it after a while

Susan I agree with you that it is weird that the Manzo kids called Caroline Mommie. I did not grow up in the south because I grew up in CA. I always feel weird when grown people call their parents Mommy and Daddy, but that is just because I didn’t grow up calling my parents those names.

I think we have all been asking this: just what the hell did she do to make you hate her so?? We know it has to to do with the PC vacation arrests, etc., but the talk about T selling stories against them to the tabloids – I don’t read them, but what they mentioned before was said on the show itself. So, I wish they would just spit it out in plain English once and for all. Wasn’t the fashion show just before the last reunion, and then they started filming what we are seeing now? Or were they fiming the end of that season when the reunion was shown? I am confused???
I agree totally with this Janie. I wanted to reach through the TV screen last night and just shake Jax while saying “spit it out already!” This is getting so old but I guess I’m still in it till the end. LOL! Also, from what I understand, this was all filmed before the Posche fashion show and then the reunion was filmed the day after the show.

Here is what I think. First of all Caroline will NEVER apologize and admit when she is wrong! Have you ever seen her? I think on the last season, the jealousy of Teresa being the rising star got to her and that’s when she started making the remarks in interviews about Teresa, once the show started airing and Teresa learned what was being said, Caroline could never go back and apologize and say she just got caught up with jealousy! She would die first, so instead now she has to either keep the “Teresa wronged me” train rolling or come clean and apologize and well we see which road she took.
this blog, like all of Caroline’s blogs, is full of shit. Her daughter was acting like a bitch-but NOBODY addressed it! Caroline called Lauren an asshole BEHIND HER BACK. If she wanted to “school” Lauren, she would have gone into the RV and talked TO her, not ABOUT her. Only when other people’s children misbehave does Don Caroline intervene directly, i.e. Gia this season and Tre’s kids on the cruise in a past season, or Ashlee EVERY season.

yeah I agree about Melissa..but, she’s Joe’s wife and if they can all get along, I think it would be GREAT. There’s no need for Caroline, Al, OR their kids to be on the show however. They are boring, mean, and have no story line!
The only reason I’d like Melissa to be fired is because she deserves it for promising to bring down a family member. But if Teresa can forgive her, I say let her stay and see if she can redeem herself. I just can’t imagine what this show will be like next season if they don’t make some changes…
I like the fact you were willing to give M. a second chance since T. said she would. they really looked like they were having fun together. Is it just me, but it really appeared T. was really trying to turn things around, be nice, and get along….I think that is why Jaq was crying – she knew T was being honest with her about her feelings for her, she loved her as a best friend, and just because she didn’t tell Jaq everything she wanted to know (a bit too much IMO) didn’t mean she didn’t value her friendship. I think Jaq had regrets and felt guilty about going too far. BUT, then I think – this was a year ago, and they are no longer speaking at this time. We all know Caroline is not going to let up on Jaq until T. is run out of town/Bravo.
I was originally a big Caroline fan in season 1. I had nothing against Teresa, I just thought she was over the top and not my ‘style’. But she has shown herself to be the only person on that show who is HAPPY and secure with who she is! She loves her family, honors her parents, and wants the best for everyone.
Whatever the reasons she didn’t get along with Melissa, she is willing to forgive and FORGET-even tho Melissa went behind her back to bring her down! The rest of the cast only want to prove they’re right and can’t let go of ANYTHING.
I just think it’s time for Teresa to be happy, and if getting along with her brother will make her happy, then I’m all for it…Jac is another story! As much as Tre misses her, I don’t think she can come back from all the crap Jac has spewed on twitter. Best to just walk away from that one!

I find it comical the way her and her kids attacked and belittled Ashlee but T makes a remark about a strip car wash in her cook book and they are ready to hang her by her toe nails and stone her to death. The reason why Lauren is “in a bad place” is because her mother only ever puts her down, pokes at her for her weight and laughs at whatever the boys say, but criticizes Lauren’s reaction to it. If someone is in a bad place, or feeling sensitive, then to continue to mock them is not funny, it’s bullying and mean. Of course Caroline knows all about that. Lauren will never be her mother’s favorite but maybe she’s daddy’s girl and they share a special bond together. It’s called lap band. lol
Lauren needs to move out and get her own life. The family dynamic is set and it won’t change. How old is Lauren? 24? And she’s still fighting with her brothers and throwing tantrums? She’s living like a child who gets no respect, and that’s why she’s so depressed.

Technically, Caroline DID NOT address Lauren’s bad behavior with her, she talked behind her back and named called her (A$$hole/crazy) Caroline clearly favors her boys over her daughter; I don’t care what she writes in her blog. Actions speak louder than words. My opinion of Caroline is even lower than I thought possible, she is pure evil.
Something else that really upsets me is no one calling Lauren out for calling Chris a retard – yes it was bleeped, but that’s not the point…(Caroline children learn what they live…right?)
