Big Ang’s Son Gets Busted For Dealing Cocaine!

Mob Wives star Big Ang’s 22 year old son that was featured in a few episodes of the hit show was arrested this past week for dealing cocaine and pushing pain killers near his Brooklyn home! Anthony was caught on video and audio tae in an undercover police sting that began last December!

You think Anthony (A.J) would learn from his mother who was busted 11 years ago with the same problem!

From WPix:
“Big Ang” was a “no show” in Brooklyn Supreme Court on Wednesday, when her son appeared before a judge. A pack of other relatives sat in the courtroom, as prosecutor Tim Gearon alleged Donofrio and his crew sold more than 700 oxycodone pills, earning about $14,000 since December.

Gearon talked about one deal in February 2012, “There is video and audio of Mr. Donofrio being present,” Gearon told Judge James Sullivan.

Donofrio’s relatives shooed PIX 11 away outside court. “We got nothing to say! He’s sick,” said one man who lived at a family home in Brooklyn and showed up in court.

Defense attorney, Lance Lazzaro, was angry the prosecution wanted the judge to set bail at $300,000. “That bail request is outrageous,” Lazzaro boomed in court. “This is a non-violent felony.”

On Wednesday in court, a gaggle of teen and 20-something women turned up to give their support to A.J. Donofrio, who has a bail hearing Thursday.

The charges are being taken seriously, because police are cracking down on the sale of highly-addictive pain killers, a scourge among young and middle-aged people, from Staten Island to Long Island.”

Wow! Are you surprised? What do you think AJ’s punishment should be?!

He definetley old enough to know better, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. Kids !!!

  2. Helen Wheels says:

Not surprised at all. This kid’s arrogance was apparent since the first time he was on the show. Plus Ang kind of telegraphed this with her comments to him and about him – her concern that he “stay out of trouble” or words to that effect. I wonder if his mother’s prior conviction will work against him in that the judge will think he was thumbing his nose at the law when he should have learned from his mother’s experience what could happen. That maybe he was thinking it would be no big deal for him if he got caught. That he would get a slap on the wrist like his mother did.

Now that his mother’s a ‘celebrity’ I think he may find the judge is going to be very aware that ‘people are watching’ and AJ may be made ‘an example of’ for the watching public.

Hi Helen!! Um…about that 2 degrees of separation.. the arrogance goes back way longer than the show.. I feel for his mom because, just imho, he is going to bring attention to her business that she doesn’t need there…

    • Helen Wheels says:

      Hi bhurst girl,

I wonder if this will queer the deal for Big Ang getting her own show? Probably not though. The network PTB may well be thrilled. The thinking being, ‘you know what this kind of publicity would cost us?’

Let’s face it. Reality TV is not exactly known for high standards.

      • bhurst girl says:

Helen I think the shows are already in the can, and because Ang had nothing to do with it, the show will go on. I know theres been a lot of talk in the Advance about the bar lately..So, who knows. Truth is, this isn’t anything different than anything some other mother is dealing with, especially in those nabes, except his mom is on T.V. I’m sure she is heartbroken but will stand by him.

Unfortunately, when this lifestyle is chosen, it goes with the territory…. I feel bad for Big Ang, it appears she tried………

  5. disgusted says:

Big Ang is going through the same things with her son that tons of other women are going through . this should be on the show it will be interesting to watch .this is real life and its happening right now during filming.

    • LJ says:

Totally agree with you. The way pills like oxycodone have taken over my generation and the “glamorous” life style that supposedly comes with it should be addressed and show the negative affects it has on ones life!

  6. Buzzworthy2011 says:

Yeh, like that’s a surprise. He acted like he was a tough guy whenever he was on camera. His mother was/is a drug dealer.

They don’t have real jobs, so it’s not a stretch for him to be a dealer. Ugh, the low life people in this world. Once I found out Ang was a coke dealer, I don’t like her and won’t watch her show. I have ZERO interest in drug dealers or druggies.

And I hope her son is convicted and sentenced for a long, long time. No empathy/sympathy for her.

    • Diamond Girl says:

I agree – I think Big Ang is disgusting and haven’t watched since she started appearing.

      Apple, meet tree.

    • ashleyy says:

What do you mean Ang doesnt have a real job? She owns her own bar. She admitted to she did drug deal before and regrets it. So what you never made mistakes before and now regret it?

She kept trying to get her son out of the whole mob lifestyle because she doesnt want that for her son and doesnt want to have to go visit her son in jail. It even showed on mob wives she was worried about him and tried to help him.

People are so quick to judge. But if you were in her shoes im sure you would have different thoughts. I love Big Ang and I hope he doesnt get locked away for a long time because everyone deserves a second chance.

this sucks. i have a huge crush on the guy, AND i need a new connection….

  8. Maru the Cat fka Sharon Lea says:

    Poor Big Ang.

I don’t understand why AJ thought he wouldn’t get caught, especially since this happened to his own mother, he is somewhat well known, or his mother certainly is.

It’s kind of the same question I have with Junior, he’s on a hit show, his face is known, why would he do anything against the law?

  9. Teresa says:

Poor Ang. I have a 21 yr old son. Knock on wood, but he’s a great kid. Don’t mess around with any drugs, or cigarettes, and really doesn’t even drink but on an occasion. I couldn’t imagine how I would feel if my child were doing that sort of thing. That must be so hurtful to her. No mother should have to worry about their child doing jail time. My prayers go out to Big Ang. I think she’s a real sweetheart of a person, and I wish her happiness. God Bless Big Ang, and God Bless her son AJ.

  10. Niree says:

The old saying goes..you do the crime you gotta do the time. I am so tired of people thinking they can take the law into their own hands and get away with it. 700 oxycodone pills? That is outrageous. And they say they got him on tape? If AJ gets offered a deal he better JUMP at the opportunity to take it! Because with irrefutable evidence like having a suspect on tape..they can send him up the river for a long time and they will convict in a second…so if the DA agrees to a deal he/she is VERY generous because they have a SURE conviction. I don’t like to see anyone go to jail especially AJ(I LOVE Big ANG) but he has no one to blame but himself..not the cops, not the DA and not the Judge. Best of luck to AJ and I hope he’s got a good defense attorney and I hope he gets a good deal. He seems tough though..if he has to do prison term he will definitely survive.
