Basketball Wives: Royce Calls Evelyn And Jen Out!
Royce Reed recaps Episode 10 of Basketball Wives and points out a few interesting things. Royce doesn’t hold back and calls out both Evelyn and Jen! She believes that at the end of the day Evelyn and her assistant Nia just looked crazy! Royce also talks her thoughts on Jen pressing charges.
“Last night’s show was a bit disturbing and I’m sure I might ruffle a few feathers but some things need to be said. I’m not going to go in any particular order I’m just going to speak on the issues as they come to mind.
It really confuses me as to why Jenn‘s “friends” keep coming up. In terms of Jenn’s bougie aura…it really hasn’t changed that much. She’s ALWAYS had an air about herself, but maybe it wasn’t recognized by Evelyn and Nia because she was their friend or because they didn’t care. Jenn speaking up and attempting to defend herself with words isn’t much different either, but I guess since she’s never defended herself against Evelyn, she now has “balls” and is considered fake. To see Evelyn crying about Jenn judging based on “things” is quite humorous to me. It’s quite hypocritical, as I was considered a bum, and lacked in style because I chose to spend my money on more practical things…like a house. I will say that I think both Jenn and Evelyn need to re-watch that scene and realize the same thing they are arguing about is the same thing that brought them together and against both Tami and myself….Material things and labels. I agree with changing and maturing, but don’t move forward without remembering where your original mindset came from. I’d believe Evelyn’s new outlook on life if she admitted she was wrong in the way she treated and talked about Tami and I prior to the statement being made about her “friend” Nia. I’m almost positive if Jenn and Evelyn were still cool, she wouldn’t find anything wrong with them making the same statement towards someone else not in their “circle”…Just sayin’…
Although Jenn and I aren’t friends, we are cordial and, yes, there are several things that come out of her mouth I don’t agree with. In reference to this situation I felt she handled it as best she could considering the people she was arguing with. In the end, I think Evelyn and Nia ended up looking crazy while Jenn at one point actually laughed at them…Things that make you go hmmmmm.
Number two: As far as Jenn deciding to press charges, I honestly don’t understand why they’re so shocked. Although it doesn’t concern me, we all know Jenn is NOT a fighter. Yes, she has sat and watched many drinks fly in her defense, but in the past year I think she has realized what it feels like to be bullied. When the shoe is on the other foot it doesn’t feel so good anymore. I will be the first to say if the glass Evelyn threw at me had actually HIT me, I would’ve dragged her ass THEN called the cops, pressed charges and sued for emotional distress. Tami…get mad at me again because I’m about to disagree with you…I don’t care where any of us came from, once you reach a certain age, it’s NOT okay to handle things with fists and weapons. In all actuality, it’s not ok to handle things physically at any age. Yes, I grew up in TANGELO PARK (Orlando people know about us) and I had to learn how to defend myself at an extremely young age, and only if needed. I don’t care if it took a year, month, week, hour, minute or 30 seconds to change your mindset on how wrong it is to physically accost someone. In life we accept the risk of being hurt in a sport, driving a car, or yes even in life situations, but accepting that risk doesn’t mean you relieve anyone of the consequence and repercussions. That situation I had with Evelyn was embarrassing, but I defended myself and I WASN’T actually hit. Jenn was BITCH SLAPPED…IN HER FACE! Pressing charges isn’t what “white people do” Jenn, it’s what smart, intelligent, business-minded, mature people who have something to lose do. If you don’t agree with that, I say you need to reevaluate your purpose in life.”

I agree with Royce..Too old to be jumping on tables and smacking chicks. I thought this show would be about the trials and tribs of women who are involved with the men of the NBA. Problem is, not enough Basketball wives! Only one chick is married to an NBA player and she’s getting a divorce! Imean Ev should switch to football wives. This wont change unless there is a cast overhaul because no real basketball wife wants to be associated with these women. All thats going to keep getting cast are ex-basketball wives/girlfriends.

Royce is hilarious to me! She made some good points, I agree. It’s a shame that most of the mature girls on the show are like in their 20s and they all make Evelyn look horrible. Although I think Tami is funny, I don’t get how she can’t possibly think Evelyn is crazy at times. Evelyn does NOT act her age at all. Jennifer is right to press charges against Evelyn’s assistant. That girl slapped her in her face. She also made herself look stupid and I think Jennifer handled the situation quite well. I don’t know why Keshia was trying to sympathize with Evelyn either cause I really don’t think Evelyn is breaking her neck to be friends with her. Keshia seems to fit in more with Jennifer, Royce, and Susie. I bet the reunion for this show will be off the chain!

I think Shaunie is terrified of Evelyn. Shaunie walks around with her nose in the air just as Jen and makes faces at mostly everything Evelyn, Tammi, or Nia say. She always make snide remarks whenever anyone calls her out on twitter…saying that we are still watching so they must be doing something right!
I don’t think Shaunie is terrified of Evelyn, at all. I do think she is getting tired of the drama Evelyn brings, hence the recent open letter. Tami wants to fit in with Evelyn and Shaunie sooo bad. Shaunie, although I dont care for her, has money and smarts. Evelyn is going to always take care of herself or find someone to do it for her. Tami has edges so rough she is never going to fit in, naturally with anybody with an iota of culture. It is what it is.
Shaunie thinks we are watching because we like to see physical abuse?! Where did she get that idea? I like Royce, Kesha, even Jennifer, I want to see how she is handling life now that she is divorced, I love to see their earrings, living in Miami. The fighting is so gross, I usually pull up this site and read during those parts so I can tune out the crap.
Ev is a bully! Did you see what she told Kesha “your on my good side so hush” when Kesha was saying how crazy the situation was. Just because someone doesnt agree with you doesnt mean you have the right to beat them up or tell them to shut up.

I am sick of reality starts using bullying as a term. They are all GROWN PEOPLE who SIGNED UP FOR THIS and KNEW WHAT THEY WERE GETTING INTO. Adults don’t bully each other. This takes away from REAL bullying that is happening in schools around the world where kids are killing themselves as a result. This is a reality TV show, and it’s a completely different beast. What a ridiculous thing to bring up. If Royce feels Jenn is being bullied, WHERE IS SHE to defend her or help her out? Nowhere. Exactly.
Adults can definitely be bullied. Bullying doesn’t have an age limit. Just because she signed up for a reality show that survives off drama, doesn’t mean she has to be physically abused. There are many reality shows that show people’s lives and there’s no physical violence. It’s not Royce’s place to defend Jennifer; they’re not friends. Her “friends” Tami, Shaunie and Suzie should be the ones to defend her, if anyone.

Adults can and do bully each other. I worked in an office where it was par for the course. As adults we often don’t have others that will stand up and help fight against it, even moreso than in school because you may have more to lose.

I actually agree with Royce 100% on this one. Everything she said was on point. Evelyn’s tear fest was ridiculous, seeing as how she constantly judges others based in how they look & what they have. She took a shot at Jennifer on Twitter recently when a fan said something about seeing her in her Bentley. Evelyn said “in her 2006 Bentley” as if that was just a hoopty or something. But “you don’t judge a b*itch because she don’t have what you have!” Right, Evelyn? smh And Tami is ridiculous for being 40+ & still thinking you should just take your abuse & keep it moving. I think she had valid reason for filing a lawsuit against Nia. It is interesting to see her on the receiving end of the abuse this season. Doesn’t feel too good does it Jennifer?
I agree with this too. Jenn was fine to sit and watch the craziness and act all high and mighty when her and Ev were besties…now it is not as fun I am sure when the pitbull turns on the owner!
Saw a repeat and agree with Royce on this one. Just affirms why I don’t watch the show. I like to see women succeed, support each other, and argue constructively.
