Basketball Wives Refusing To Film Reunion Because Of Jennifer Williams!
Several cast members on the Basketball Wives are refusing to attend the upcoming reunion next month! So why exactly are they boycotting the reunion? Because of Jennifer Williams who filed a lawsuit against Evelyn Lozada’s assistant Nia for slapping her in the face! Jennifer claims when Nia slapped her in the side of the head that she was injured “badly” during the attack.

According to sources at VH1, the castmates are convinced Jennifer’s lawsuit was filed out of spite and desperation to dredge up drama around her character — in the vain hope of securing a spot on the show next season. Our sources also think Jennifer’s claim of emotional distress is BS because she never missed a day of shooting.
We’re told several prominent castmembers have vowed to shun her completely … refusing to even speak to Jennifer — and are threatening not to attend the reunion show early next month if she attends. And there’s this — the contract signed by the “Wives” castmates specifically states …. “Participant expressly assumes the risk of any physical or emotional injuries participant may suffer as a result of participant’s participation in the project.”"
Look Nia shouldn’t have touched Jennifer but Jennifer shouldn’t be filing a lawsuit and acting like she was hurt. And that’s my opinion. What do you think about the lawsuit?

I’ve watched my last show of the BBW. It’s disgusting that women are portrayed this way. Surely they don’t represent the average woman (Lord, please!)
Someone please take Royce, Kesha and Jen out of this psycho ward and give them a better platform to display their talents. The others, just leave them there until they eat each other.
This show has gone so far downhill. Nia was wrong to put her hands on anyone and they can’t make the audience feel bad for them because Jen is taking legal action. She sent them a letter that she would sue. They thought it was not serious but is. I don’t feel bad for Nia, Evelyn, Shaunie or whoever else participates in this game they are playing. Nia is lucky she didn’t get seriously injured maybe she should grow up and stop being so intellectually and emotionally stunted that she has to react with violence. And why didn’t they show this much interest when Meeka sued Tami? They are mad Jen won’t forgive and forget with Evelyn like Tami did. Who really cares that much if someone won’t be your friend anymore? People can say Jen is taking it too far all they want but Nia and Evelyn overstepped their boundaries a long time ago.

I agree completely! These women are acting like tike they are in Jr. High School. They should have been sued a long time ago! They are bullies and they band together to attack whomever they think will take that shit! One day the instagators in this are going to hit the wrong person! VHI SHOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT THESE ASSAULTS A LONG TIME AGO!!
I watch in disbelief because I can’t believe they would continue to allow people to throw bottles and anything else they can get their hands on at people!

Why would you even have to put that in a contract for reality show of grown women? Red flag!!! And at that time, Im sure some people probably laughed and thought on tv, no one would be acting like crazy animals!
I think the KEY to this is that Nia is not a contractual cast member and the lawsuit is going to go forward. That maybe where things differed from Meeka and Tami.
Fighting is just wrong..1) she could have scared Jen for life, 2) she could have killed Jen, and this beef isn’t that big, friends fall out and in all the time. Ex. Jen and Royce resolved their beef in a more mature manner. By all appearances Nia and Ev are just two wild, untamed animals, maybe Nia and Ev need to be caged. At least Tami recognized the cycle of violence/anger that made her what she is and is sought counseling.
Good point. I didn’t think about that as far as nia not being a cast member. I’m glad that Jen is suing. I was never a huge Jen fan, but this situation is unacceptable and wrong is wrong. There needs to be a change.
Tottaly agree with you on that. When it comes to VH1, whether its Mobwives, Love and Hip Hop, or Basketball wives we’ve all seen physical fights break out. She knew damn well what she was getting in to. Does this excuse Nia? NO not at all. But not one of the other girls from any of the sereis have sued anyone after physical altercations. Is she was worried about something like this she never should have signed that peice of paper then.
I have a hard time believing her “injuries” when this happened weeks ago and she finished taping all her segments. You would think if she really was hurt she would’ve missed some work at that time.
Jennifer filed the asault charges the day that this happen. Then she filed a civil one as well. In real time…when the situation happened Jennifer refused to come back on set until she had written confirmation that the assistant would not be in the same room with her again. Evelyn and Shaunie are sinking themselves in a big hole with this foolishness. From blogs to twitter people are outraged…including myself. You should read Evelyn’s comment section on her last blog about the episode…..98.5 percent of the comments call her out and are disgusted by her behavior. I will not be surprised if one of these days someone ends up in the hospital.
Well that explains some things. I still don’t think she will be able to win since there is that clause in their contract. Outside of that… She was a big part of the Royce bullying and in the last two seasons and she was fine with the antics then. I think she should just leave the show.

I have to agree, I was extremely suprised that this blogger would think this. Under NO circumstances is it ok to hit someone when u or anyone else is in physical danger from that person. That isn’t even my opinion, it is a FACT! If anything, class or no class, jennifer was within HER right to beat the assistant to a pulp in self-defense. Rox never stated that it was okay to hit peopl…she said the exact opposite. She said she doesn’t think Jen should sue and I agree. Jen signed up for this and over the last three seasons saw how crazy things could get. She had no problem with it then. But the it wasn’t directed at her.

I don’t watch this show at all anymore. However, I must say, since Nia slapped Jennifer, Jennifer has every right to sue her. What if that was your daughter, sister, friend, or someone close to you and they were slapped? Wouldn’t you support them if they decided to press charges and sue the person that slapped them? I would hope so. Jennifer has every right. Hey you can yell, cuss, and fuss all you would like, but no adult has the right to put their hands on another adult without there permission, period.
I am not angry…i am disppointed. I know Rox claims to not agree with the violence…but in the same breath says Jen shouldn’t sue. Clearly Jen felt threaten….hence the conversation about her sending a letter to all of them through her attorney….next should Jen gets assaulted. So i am can clearly see what she sent that letter now (sigh). Nia was brought in for the attack by EVELYN. She was soley there to do Ev’s dirty work.
I am disppointed because it seems that Rox is saying that there should be zero consequences for someone assaulting another human beings. Millions tuned in and saw the assault and harrasment. Evelyn climbed on a table to try to finish the attack. Words is one thing…..pounding your hands on the table….flipping a table…..cursing……HOWEVER when you physcially attack someone for the sake of a show that is where I draw the line. It was an unprovoked, nonselfdefense, disgusting thing to do.
Oh…I agree. I don’t care how pissed off you are at someone you should try to physically attack them. You should only raise you hand if you have to defend against a physical assault. I think they should change the rules of the show to if there is any physical violence, those persons will be punished up to termination. I think as grown women they need to show they are able to settle their differences like mature women.
The agreement stated in the contracted related to castmembers and vh1. The assistant that EVELYN bought in as her sidekick is not a castmember.
And to add to you- I felt like Ev brought her on purpose! She knew that Nia now had beef with Jen also, as they talked about it several times prior to that episode. Why bring her on now? Premeditated strategy! She ( Ev) knew that most likely after hitting Jen with a purse from behind, that she may not be able to physically get to her again, and Nia had a better chance! After all this time I do not understand why they care so much about what Jen is doing or not doing, who she befriended, and who she left behind. They apparently do not like Jen so why not leave her the hell alone? Things changed, people changed, relationships changed. Jen tried to talk to Ev long ago to squash the drama and Ev could not let go without physical actions. Jen moved on and is trying to start a new life and some do not like it. Its called personal growth and they do not know what that means as we can all see!
I’ll have to disagree with you here. Jennifer should be filing a law suit. I didn’t watch the episode but from what I’ve read she was assaulted. If I’m at work (or anywhere else) and someone assaults me I’m pressing charges and I’m suing.
This hoodroach (because this is lower than rat) nonsense should not be cosigned by anyone. I don’t care whether Jen was hurt or not, that wasn’t the point, no one has the right to lay hands on anyone else. Age isn’t even a factor, even if my 11 year old acted like this I’d snatch her behind up so quick.

Nia has unrealistic expectations when it comes to a relationship with Jennifer. I want to know why Nia expects Jennifer to have a relationship with her when she is now Ev’s assistant. How is she is supposed to treat/trust Nia? If Nia were a real or good person, she would have handled her issue out of the way of the camera. Nia knows how Ev and Jennifer feel about each other. When Nia walked around that table to carry out her threat I felt so bad for Jennifer, then when that savage Ev jumped on the table, I was done with BBWM. It has become a cesspool of stankin’ raw sewage. If I were Jennifer I would be so embarrassed because I even knew their kind of women. I could never understand Ev when she was screaming something about to the effect of “this life.” God gives life Ev. Nothing good can come from this show or from the people on the show–it’s over. If I want to watch fighting I tune to WWE.
Rox, my answer is this–if you have no better sense than solve disagreements using violence–then yes–sue the hell out of the bitch since she made the decision to humiliate to satisfy her own little ego–I mean Nia and Ev are too absorbed with Jennifer to extent that I consider it harassment.
As a woman who made it and lost it, trying to make it again I need to say this one day you can be up, riding the top wave, and tomorrow disaster/tragedy/job loss/illness can knock you flat on your back.
Nia and Jen were good friends since the first season. They had a friendship outside of Evelyn for years and they were there for each other through some bad times. Nia has an illness and spent some time in the hospital and Jen was there for her. Jen had some really bad spots with Eric and she would stay at Nia’s apartment when things got too intense at home, which is why Jen had keys to her apartment. However friendships end and that’s no excuse to go around smacking people.
I totally get Nia being hurt – hey i would be too. But she’s not doing anything but yelling and screaming and threatening Jen, when Jen hasn’t said one word to her. If she can’t act like an adult, then how can I have sympathy for her? It’s not even that I think Jenn is so wonderful. It’s that she’s clearly being treated TOTALLy unfairly while she’s totally trying to keep it civil. If Nia is truly hurt, she can act like an adult and let her know, just like Tami and Shaunie, and not wait until Evelyn is there breathing fire at her and waiting for anything to set her off. I guess they all thought we’d be on their side and hate Jen too, that’s clear.
Meant to say, just like Tami and Shaunie can too, which is when they’re not all in a group, surrounding her and ganging up on her. So not classy, guess they decided that Jenn would be the next Royce, or the next Kenya or Keisha and that they can just bully her and ridicule her. Wrong!
The thing I want to point out and I am glad to read that in the past Jen and Nia were there for each because I didn’t if it was a one sided friendship or what.
This isn’t really about Jen and Nia, it is about Ev and Jen. Nia is now Ev’s assistant, Ev and Jen are no longer friends–this makes things very awkward. It is like Nia has gone over to the side of the enemey, kinda like Mark Anthony consorting with Cleopatra and forgetting about Rome and we know how that ended.
Typically, mature adults, with some reason and rationality are able to forgive, move forward and be cordial.
Nia and Ev sit around talking about Jen and their anger towards her never dissipates so they’re walking around all mad and angry.
Nia was Ev’s assistant first. She also tried to get them talking before they started taping this season.

Umm…the “basic condo” was in miami beach and one of the most high end condo developments. She lived in the building next to her soon to be ex. Her parents were well off….and I DOUBT she needed a place to stay. I think the thirsty Nia chick wants to act like Jen was homeless. I stay at my girlfriends house all the time and she stays at my home…especially if she is having issues with her BF. Doesn’t mean she nor I are homeless.
It will be interesting to see what a judge will say in this lawsuit, but I support Jennifer in protecting herself. She has been smacked in the head with a purse, which Evelyn & Tami found funny, then Evelyn was waiting for her to walk out of a restaurant and now this hit by Nia? Things were definitely escalating and Shaunie, and the producers, and the all the people on set needed to shut it down – shut it all down a long time ago. They should all be worried, they are all tied to this.

If someone was robbing a store with you in it, pulled out a gun, would you say ” i wish you would”( shoot me?). Didn’t think so! The way Jennifer is now, is not any different than when she started this train wreck of a show! She is just not kissing any of their asses anymore and I guess they must feel neglected! Yes, she stayed at Nia’s- she was a true friend to Nia. But if Nia is up Ev’s ass, why would Jen stay in touch with her- she was trying to avoid drama and move on. I never liked or understood why Evilyn was always abusive, and yes Jennifer was an Evilyn follower, that is why I was never a fan of Evilyn or Jennifer. Yes Jennifer smiled and went along with Evilyn being an animal, and yes threw water at some people, but she never raised her hand to anyone in anger. Nia, on the other hand, became an Evilyn follower in the true sense of the word, she became not only verbally abusive, but also physically abusive…and that should never be condoned!
