Basketball Wives Recap! Plus Tami Issues A Public Apology!
I’m not going to do a full on recap on what went down on yesterdays episode of Basketball Wives. I really have no words for all the constant inappropriate behavior but i’ll be honest, I liked Tami last season but I don’t know if I can say the same this season. The episode begins with Tami going off at Kesha.
Tami has had a few drinks by now and calls out Kesha for talking behind her back. Kesha is sitting back watching Tami flip. I personally feel like Kesha was scared but who wouldn’t be? I think the whole feud with Kesha/Tami is so stupid and it still doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t understand why these ladies can’t have a real conversation without swearing or getting violent. People shouldn’t act like that, its embarrassing and such a bad look! Tami continues to go cray cray on Kesha and she walks away from the situation! Great thinking. Only problem is she left her purse at the table and guess who takes it? Tami! I don’t get why any of the “wives” wouldn’t take the purse themselves and give it to Kesha.
Later Suzie goes to see what’s up with Kesha and she realizes she left her purse with the ladies. Kesha refuses to apologize to Tami but Tami insists if she wants the purse back that she come and get it! Kesha tells Suzie that she is going to the front desk to report her personal property taken. Suzie doesn’t think its a good idea but Kesha can care less! Tami hears what Kesha is up to and goes to her suite to confront her. Kesha won’t open the door and Tami turns and leaves. I mean I don’t think I’d open the door either. It’s clear Kesha doesn’t like conflict and tries her best to not make a situation worse. Both Shaunie and Evelyn tell Kesha to open the door when Tami isn’t with them. Kesha is balling and in tears and truly upset. Tami finally comes to her senses and returns with the purse. Tami says the only reason she took the purse was because no one else would and it would still be there if it wasn’t for her. LOL. Really Tami? Tami gives the purse and leaves! Kesha continues to cry to Shaunie and Evelyn who actually do feel bad for her and tells them she can’t believe in her adult life that she’s in a situation like this.
Ev and Shaunie go back to Tami and let her know the deal and they try to make her understand Kesha’s point. Tami ain’t having it! The next day Evelyn begins crying thinking about how Kesha must have felt. I was a bit shocked to see that just because Tami is Evelyns good friend and they normally stick to each other even if one of them is wrong. The episode ends off with Tami feeling bad and Kesha never putting herself through a situation like that ever again!
Tami obviously don’t know how to handle a situation. I think since the beginning of Basketball Wives they all went about things the wrong way so they think its okay to continue do so.
Tami issued a public apology via twitter saying, “I just landed in NYC, but I did catch 2nites episode on the plane. As I said earlier, this was BAD, wrong & immature-I apologize. I’m not proud of my behavior, but I own up to it and face it. I do apologize 2my family, my friends, my kids & 2 my cast members. The supporters who have been there, I’m sorry I let U down-this was not handled properly & I felt bad THEN and now. I simply ask that U b respectful 2my kids-they R NOT on BBW & do not control my actions on the show. Don’t become what U criticize. I would have blogged this but I wanted 2 address it as soon as I landed. Accept it or not, I acknowledge & apologize to ALL involved.”

I completely understand where Tami’s frustration came from if Kesha would have just manned up and said “yes Tami I did say those things when I was upset and I apologize for that.” it would have been over but instead she denies it and sits there like an idiot! Then she continues to run her mouth even after that incident when she was recapping the episode. Why she would want to provoke Tami is beyond me. Kesha needs a back bone and needs to own up to the crap she talks behind Tami’s back!

Are u freakin serious ?????? If Keesha had admitted it , she would have gotten beaten up , and she was scared to death. Tammy knew the girl was petrified but just kept going and going and going after her. There’s a name for ppl like that and it’s called a BULLY !! That is exactly what Tammy is !! SO true! I too, have always liked Tami since her season on Real World. I do not condone anyone being bullied. You have kids and teens commiting suicide every day as a result of someone’s relentless bullying. Adults should know better! If your child was doing that, would it be ok?
I really don’t know what violent world you come out of to condone Tami’s behavior and suggest Kesha stoop to Tami’s level. Why does Kesha need to grow a back bone to fight a feral dog? Why can’t Tami take some etiquette and read some work by Ghandi?

Excuse me but what Kesha said wasn’t even worth all of that! All she said was that she would have gone off on tami…. Big whoop! It’s not like Kesha was really talking about tami and called her names, making fun of her, lying about her etc. tami was rude to ask her “what she was” and then proceeded to say she didn’t look like a “Kesha, but more like a Lisa” (whatever that means. Stereotype much?). Kesha was just explaining how she felt at that time about tami’s comments.

Let me say this… if i was there, Tammi would have gotten her ass handed to her. She ONLY bullies people who dont like to fight. Talking about” where i come from” You realize Tammy is damn near 60 years old? SHE IS ALMOST OLD ENOUGH FOR A SENIOR DISCOUNT and is acting like an 12 year old mean girl. Chick has some mental problems and needs to be on medication.
AND Shaunie doesnt get a pass because she “comforted” kesha.. she told kesha, we need to find the solution to getting your purse back.. insinuating Kesha APOLOGIZE to that beast. Shaunie should have stepped up and made Tammi give the purse back this is her show. She fed into the bully and set a fantastic example for young black women who look up to these fools.
Shaunie realizes if she’d tried to get that purse from Tammi….she would have been on the receiving end of that ass whipping. She’s no fool! They are idiots and worse than children…more like animals! BBW should and most probably will be taken off the air! Now they are all back peddling trying to make it right. exactly – I am also horrified by what I saw on that show. Poor Kesha – she is not a ‘scrapper’ and tami is very big – at least twice her size. It made me cry. I can’t see VH1 bringing tami back next season considering public opinion.

I agree! Tami was my girl last season, but I finally watched last night’s episode, and I was beyond disturbed by her behavior. Tami is really evil to the core, and I saw the devil come out of her. I’m not a fan of Kesha, but when I saw her crying and saw the ”lost, scared, hopeless little girl” look in her eyes… I felt so bad for her! Her body was shaking, and she was so frightened… Omg! I would like Kesha to stand up to Tami, but hell! We all know how crazy Tami gets!
Imagine when Tami’s daughters go to school. They could get picked on, made fun of, harassed, etc, because of Tami. That’s what I was thinking last night. Tami obviously encourages bullying, so lets just see how her daughters will turn out in a few years. Lets just hope they don’t get bullied in school. They are so beautiful, but having an out of control mother makes their reputation look worse.

Exactly! Her apology asked for no one to take her behavior out on her daughters! What does she think is gonna happen when she acts a bullying fool! Her daughters must be MORTIFIED! I agree – Tami was looking for any excuse to hit kesha. It’s a miracle she made it out of tahiti without a scratch. I wish kesha would have had her arrested and sent to a foreign jail. Sorry but regardless Tami was out of line and made herself out to be a bully. This is the only reason why she apologized, if it was sincere she would have issued an apology directly to kasha, not the rest of the people she said sorry to. Now for me ghetto is as ghetto does and simply put Tami knows no other way to be and that is something she will continue to struggle with because that is not example you want to set for your children. I grew up in the housing projects in Los Angeles, it doesn’t mean I will become a victim of my own circumstances and treat people any kind of bad way, it’s all excuses and excuses. Now using that purse as a reason to treat Kesha like that, wrong. I always say Courtesy is given and respect is earned. So far, Kesha has be courteous to Tami, but I don’t see that same courtesy to Kesha. So how the hell is Tami wanting respect from Kesha if she doesn’t give and hasn’t earned it. Own up, don’t apologize to us who watch your show, apologize to the person you victimized. Kesha should have been concerned for her safety. When you have a raging drunk who is the size of a house, once the whistle blows, it is hard to block something like that. I read the after show comments and then write the sponsors of the show and say they should be boycotted for promoting bullying & violence………….
I dont think it is an ‘anger management’ issue or a drinking problem. I think that sugar coats the real issue – What I saw was very evil behavior. tami was enjoying belittling and berating someone smaller and weaker than her. I think she was disappointed that she didn’t get to hit kesha – she kept pushing and looking for a reason. This episode made me cry. Poor kesha.
I was very disappointed in Tami. However, she told Keisha from jump. If you have a problem with me come to be first, and I will respect you for it. She forgot that she was the new girl and what she says would get back to Tami. She could’ve said yes I said and explained why and Tami would not have hit her. I don’t believe she would’ve. She would’ve have gotten hit if she stayed right there and continued to deny what was said.

I think that is the most stupid excuse for tami to use to bully. “if you have something to say about me say it to my face”. Let’s be real, if they say it to her face, she will fight them. If they voice their opinions to someone else, she will fight them. She is a bully and she knows she was wrong and that’s why she apologized. She should have apologized to Kesha though, instead of apologizing to the whole cast. There’s no justification for her actions. It also seems like she goes after those who she thinks are weak “in her eyes”. Very sad.

I would’ve checked the bag really well when I got it back make sure no extra credit card charges and make sure $ was still there. Ghetto Tami could’ve robbed her. You don’t go through a ladies purse period, of course Tami isn’t a lady by any stretch so she probably thinks that’s acceptable behavior.

Tami needs help and Shaunie should br ashamed of herself for this show turning out like this. I felt that both Ev and Shaunie should have stepped in but I guess Evelyn behaves the same way. However, I thought that Shaunie had a little more class than this but it is obvious she is a silent and sneak sh*t starter.
This show is getting to just be foolish. It is the same thing every week. I loved Tami last season. She wasn’t a follower or a hypocrite. Now she is Jenn 2.0 and just seems to follow and co-sign everything Evelyn does. She blasts people for actin childish yet her actions are far from mature. Evelyn, Shaunie and Tami have all changed for the worst. The show.is supposed to be about strong women having fun yet all they do is act like kids. It is a shame they took the show there. The only one that has truly grown up is Royce. These are.mothers and there kids cannot be happy to see them act this way on tv
If that was the best form of entertainment they could produce, I think the network should seriously consider taking it off the air. The show is abusive and degrading to any and all involved. The reviews have poured in for days with a constant and continued cry of disgust , disappointment, and disapproval. It is ridiculous to believe that adults would want to publish such violent abuse and profit from the pain and horrors of defenseless individuals. It is my opinion that more than just Tami needs to apologize. She wasn’t able to do it all on her own.

Then when everyone confronted Tami after they spoke with Keisha she tried to worm her way out of keeping Keisha’s purse by trying to make it look like Keisha left it behind and she simply pick it up for her so no one would take it…. Then after the girls talked to Keisha on the beach they went back to Tami and told her that Keisha was upset that Tami wouldn’t give back her purse so was going to report it to the hotel… Tami’s response was “Damn girl, she takes things that people say too seriously” (something like that)…. WTF Tami really isn’t this about you being upset that Keisha said something about you…. Can you say “CRAZY”……
Ditto Tammy is a BULLY!!! Kesha should move on and leave the show she is not cut from the same cloth as the others. As for Shauni and Ev just sitting there and watching it doesn’t say much for them either. This is very high school and the physical fighting is no different than what teenagers are doing, they should be setting an example of how an adult

She knew Kesha was NOT ever going to fight back and she pulled the ultimate bully move. I won’t say anything about Ev, but Shaunie, as a PRODUCER, should have stepped in. Im sick of the recklessness on these shows anymore, and there are NO excuses. I think Ev cried cause she probably knows now from being an observer what people must feel like when she acts like Tammi!

I was a fan of Tammi’s last season, but after last night I am not anymore. She made a complete a** out of herself on national television. Who take’s another womans purse and holds it until they are given an apology??? Then to top it off, her and Suzie say she is operating as a child by not JUST APOLOGIZING!!! The only children I seen were the ones sitting around being ok with another woman getting treated that way. I wanted to cry watching the way Keysha was being treated, and in my opinion she needs to stay away from all of them. Royce and Suzie, because one of them went and made something out of nothing by misinterepreting the words that Keysha stated. I cannot believe grown women act that way, but I sure bet their ratings are good.
I apologize in advance for the long post, but I was BEYOND upset watching this episode!! Tammy is your typical ghetto hood rat who thrives off bullying others. She has no self control, loves to get in your face & call you all kinds of B & H. I know women like Tami very well. I am 37 yrs old and have always had to deal with girls like her. Like Kesha, I am biracial and was picked on, called names like half breed & mutt. The black girls called me a white girl, at the same time I wasn’t accepted by white girls b/c I clearly didn’t look white (most of my friends were hispanic). It makes Tami feel superior when she can make others feel small. Yes, she apologized, but it was to her family, friends and cast members. I feel so bad for her daughters, to have such a foul mouth out of control mother must be so embarrasing for them. The fact that she didn’t address Kesha says it all. The reason Tami doesn’t like Kesha is simple: JEALOUSY. When Tami was first cast in BBW, I knew there would be drama. I watched her when she was on the Real World. She fought on that show too. She hasn’t changed a bit. She’s older, but not wiser and still acts like she lives in the hood. She lacks the ability to express herself in a calm adult manner. Hitting, yelling & acting like a wild woman is acceptable to her and she uses her enviornment to justify her behavior. From the getgo Tami started on her: Asking if she was white and saying she should be Lisa and not Kesha. Then when Royce and Kesha had lunch w/Tami, Tami asked Royce to check out a group and give her opinion on choreography, she made it clear that Keshas opinion wasn’t needed. Based on those 2 interactions with Tami, Kesha knew that speaking her mind or telling Tami how she felt about her initial comment wouldn’t go well. I lay the blame on Evelyn and Suzie..When Kesha talked to Evelyn, Evelyn told her to express herself to Tami..she didn’t have time b/c Evelyn went back and told Tami!!! That is messy. Even when Kesha tried to explain at dinner, Tami cut her off b/c she didn’t really want to hear what she had to say. And Suzie! She is so two faced. I find it funny she calls Kesha scary. Really Suzie, really? Suzi is just as scary b/c she got a mouthful from Tami at Shaunies dinner and she ran over to apologize, all up in Tamis face! You are so weak and scary Suzie. If I was Kesha I wouldn’t talk to Suzie either, had she not opened her big mouth things would have been ok. Suzie is a scary ding bat who likes taking the focus off herself by creating drama for others. All the ladies on the show are scared of Tami, thus the reason none of them stepped in to stop Tami from making a fool of herself. Shame on Shaunie and Evelyn. I pray your daughters never get treated or bullied like Tami bullied Kesha.

1. Suze is two faced because she is scared of all of them so she plays both sides of the fence and sits back with a smile of satisfaction that says “See now the popular girls will like me because I tell them everything”, “Now I won’t have to play all by myself at recess”.
2. Tami preys on the weak because she knows that she will be knocked out cold when she starts running her mouth at a strong person. While Suze is waiting on the playground for her Tami tells herself, “I have to make myself look real tough so that everyone will be afraid of me so they will want to hang out with me so I won’t beat them up”.
3. Meanwhile back at the swings Suze the squealer is busy taking notes so that she has a report to give Tami to stay in her good graces. After giving her report she then runs back and forth to make sure that everyone is adequately pissed and she is the hero for “keeping the peace” 4. At the end of the day the whole cast is a bunch of insecure ghetto girls that are either afraid of Tami or making sure that someone else is being threatened by her!
5. I hope that they do continue to film with these insecure low life jealous bitches long enough to see Tami get whats coming to her! Not only does Tami deserve a good ass kicking Suze needs it even worse!
How the hell can any of these 5 year olds call themselves mothers and think this is a good example to set? BTW who is raising these kids? I hope they are in a stable environment and away from these whack jobs! Kids do not deserve to be in a home where they are made to take care of the parents that never grew up. They are probably humiliated by these so called parents!!

If it was me I would have loved to be kesha for the min or two because I probably would have taken it to Tammy. But I have to say. I did like Tammy at one time. But now I think of her as a totally different person. Shame on you Tammy! I am sure your parents taught you better! I am sure everyone is ashamed of you! I will say that I would never be able to talk to the girl who told Tammy! She brought that on her own.
Shaunie makes me the most sick because she sits there quietly watching and never has she told evelyn or tami to stop the silly behavior. I can just imagine she’s thinking about ratings while someone is being bullied and assaulted. For Tami to say that she felt sorry then, makes me sick. She did not regret anything. She’s scared her meal ticket will be taken away because people are rallying to get her off the show.
I dont know where to begin on this except to say I am thoroughly disgusted with this show. Tami is a disgusting person and as much as I hate to use the word of the moment, she is the epitome of a BULLY. That scene very much reminded me of young kids in elementary school WATCHING as someone was getting taunted and bullied and beat down and did nothing. Evelyn and Shaunie are as much to blame in this mess as anyone, because while I think Suzie is disgusting for always starting this shit…she seems to be deathly afraid of everyone and wants to make sure no one can BLAME her for knowing anything they dont know. this is all BULLSHIT. Evelyn and shaunie are the only ones who could have MAYBE put an end to that psyco mess Tami and they didn’t say a word and it was CLEAR neither of them thought Tami was right about it…but still didn’t say a word. To me, they ALL seem afraid of Tami because she is a damn ticking time bomb and Kesha had NO CHOICE but to run away. I am sorry, if she opened her mouth to say ANYTHING she was done for. And Tami skews things in her own warped mind to make sense, but it doesn’t make sense. She has bullied Jen, Evelyn, Suzie, Meeka, Kenya, and Kesha….she wants to explode on anyone. I dont know how she has ANY friends because I would be waiting to get popped in the face the first second I didn’t agree with everything she said…that isn’t a friendship. And Shaunie….is a JOKE. If anyone is weak..she is. She is in the best position to PUT Tami in her place and refused to do so. I hope they cancel this show…but at the very least get rid of this bullying crazed loon before she kills someone for BETTER RATINGS!

I felt so bad for Kesha. Tami has always been very short tempered but this was ridiculous. And for Shaunie, Evelyn and Suzie to just sit back and watch this girl get attacked?! This is not a Bravo show but it still needs to be cancelled. Tami is a psychotic mess that thrives on bullying to bring herself up. She has no self esteem or self respect.
