Basketball Wives: Jennifer Williams Seeking Legal Justice After Slap In The Face
On yesterdays episode of Basketball Wives, Jennifer Williams was slapped by her former best friend Evelyn Lozadas assistant. Jennifer is now blogging about the incident and saying she will be doing something about this and is seeking justice!
I’m just wondering- did tonight’s episode satisfy your viewing pleasure? How many people watched my show tonight and actually felt good about it? Did it make you feel proud to be a woman? My last question- would you have enjoyed it the same if it was your mother, sister or daughter getting slapped? Here’s the thing: on my show some of these women take pride in showing their ass in the most compromising way. These females have a point to prove and will do or say anything to be a “reality show star.” Fame is a powerful drug and some will go any length to achieve it. I am a grown woman and I have never had to fight someone to prove my point, I use my vocabulary and brain for that. Mature woman should be able to communicate their differences without violence. Using your hands to express yourself is absolutely WACK!!! I will never forget that day at the racetrack, I didn’t go there to fight so that was the last thing I expected to encounter. All I remember was the nonsense that took place. The assistant/gofer decided to be in full action with her monkey see monkey do self as she snuck a slap from behind. You are a coward if you catch me off guard while sitting down and not to mention a bully! Then the president of the NON Factor T-shirt Enterprise thought that jumping across the table like a demon would be a good look for the young women in America that watch the show. The horses racing around the track were more civilized than some of the woman with me in the presidential suite that day. I swear I still don’t understand why someone would want to act so ridiculous on national television but I guess some will do anything for fame. After the event took place I felt very violated. I had never been slapped in my face and even though my mind was still trying to process all that went down I knew what I had to do to get some justice. Don’t think because I didn’t physically fight back doesn’t mean I am not doing anything about this incident or I am a punk. I am doing this the right way and using our legal system to seek justice. I am a businesswoman and an entrepreneur; I cannot represent myself fighting in such a manner. Corporate America would never take me serious. If you are a woman and you watch my show I have to stress to you that just because these things are shown on television doesn’t make it right. Violence is never the solution. I urge us all to stop the violence! Or you can possibly end up in jail…
I completely agree with Jennifer. Violence is NEVER the answer but what do you expect when you sign up for reality shows such as “basketball wives?” This isn’t the first time this happened and when it did happen in previous seasons Jennifer didn’t care but now that it’s happening to her she is saying violence isn’t the answer. I think Ev’s assistant went in wanting to start trouble but I also think Jennifer always has to call people out on what they have. So what if someone has a 2 bedroom home? Does that make them less of a person? I don’t get what the point of her saying that was. And that’s my main issue with Jennifer. What do you think about everything that went down?

Are you kidding me Rox? Jennifer was ASSAULTEd after trying to ignore the digusting assistant tht EVelyn bought as her side kick. That’s when Jen attacked back and made those comments. These comments are very similar to the many comments that your favorite BBW character Evelyn has said to many of her costars. Remember when Tami first came on the show….Ev talked about her cheap clothes her cheap hair etc. Evelyn also made comments about Royce that was not so nice regarding what she has….better yet what she lacks. At the time Tami talked about how hard it was being a single mom and not having money. It is sooo hypocritical of Evelyn trying to act high and mighty about the comments made by Jen in a fit of anger after being attacked…..when Ev herself has made many harsh comments about material stuff ppl lack. In Ev’s blog…she no once condemn the assualt…not once. That assistant has never been on the show EVER…now when Evelyn needs a crew on her disgusting war against Jen….she pops up. UGh. The attempted gang up on Jennifer last night was disgusting and i can see why she was trying to keep her distance from these fake and trashy women.
Rox please get out of evelyns ass…I luv coming to your site but seriously you need to stop. Everyone knows Jennifer is classy and was raised with money…they all agree and they always say it. What do you expect her to say when someone keeps going on and on about a cheap apartment key. I will say that as well. Nia just wanted drama..thats all.
Roxy, the reason why Jennifer made the comment about the two bedroom apt was because Evelyn’s asst kept asking her for the keys…as if she was living in some mansion and Jennifer was living off of her or something. I can totally see why she brought it up in this instance. The asst came on the show trying to act all high and mighty. I hope she gets exactly what she was looking for. I’m not a big Jennifer fan either, but wrong is wrong. She is getting bullied by some grown ass jealous women.
I am so glad Jennifer is seeking justice because what Ev’s assistant did was crossing the line! They can’t just attack Jenn the way they did, and not be punished for their wrongdoings. Nia kept running her loud ass mouth, and Jenn was being normal and quiet. Ev and her assistant act so damn vile and ghetto! Who cares if Jenn mentioned how she lives in a small apartment in Harlem?… She pushed Jenn too far! What, Nia can continue to say all this shit to her face, going off on her when they aren’t even friends, getting up to yell and smack her face, and gets worse when Jenn mentions it? Ev jumping on a table like a damn hyena because of what Jenn said? Hahaha! Evelyn needs ANGER MANAGEMENT! Don’t be attacking Jenn when she wasn’t even starting crap in the first place. If Evelyn ever touch Jenn, I hope Jenn SUES THE HELL out of her unstable ass!

Jennifer is right. this girl slapped her trying to get on the show. Thats what Shawnie has decided is appropriate behavior for the cast. As for EVE.. She only attacks people after giving ample time for security to be aware she is going to attack. That doesnt make her “bad ass” that makes her a show man. She is a punk and both her and the assistant should have been wearing a number and racing around that track!! I hope Jennifer sues her into bankrupsy. I agree – Eve is a badass only because there is security to protect her after she throws a cheap shot. I really hope Jenn follows through with pressing charges for this assault. This was too much ghetto trash for me. I might not be able to watch anymore.
Rox i am surprised that you as a business women yourself would really say that Jennifer was even slightly wrong. The other girls all call each other out and knock on each other. Eve especially!!! Jennifer was attacked and it was unprovoked why? becuase she did not put her hands on this other girl! I just think that this post should have been more supporting victems of assult.
Only word I can think of to describe last night’s episode is–IGNORANCE. Who was that rough tough talking woman? Where did she come from? Did Jen sleep with her husband? She really wants to kill Jen.
The anger she had was of a woman scorned! RIght? I wodered myself f Jen had taken a man from her or something. The hatred was insane.
The rage and anger we keep seeing in Evelyn is simply this: Eve is upset because Jenn hit a nerve when she spoke some things about Chad. Deep down inside Eve knows she is making a HUGE mistake by marrying Chad and for some reason the sight of Jenn reminds her of it. There is NO way in the world a few comments made in the past by Jenn can have someone that full of rage. There is NO way a woman shouldn’t be able to forget about a few comments and move on with her life and not have to “wage war” on someone everytime they see them. The rage is much deeper than Jenn. The rage is coming from the fact Eve hates herself and hates the awful decision she’s made to enter into a marriage she knows is not what she is “trying to make it out” to be. If you think about it, everytime Eve is shown she is talking about Jenn. Jenn seems to dominate her thoughts and emotions. All Jenn’s past comments did were solidify what Eve was already feeling deep inside…that she is about to make yet another mistake regarding a man. And instead of listening to that inner warning, she chooses to ignore it. You think Eve is full of rage now…it’s not going to get any better for her (Eve) after she gets married. That’s a sad situation. Although I don’t like her, Eve needs prayer…
Daja – your post makes a lot of sense. I too think that Jennifer has hit a nerve with Evelyn because Jennifer sees this probably isn’t the most commited relationship. And Evelyn is taking out her anger on Jennifer instead of Chad, she is really pissed off at Chad – that is clear.
Jenn might be acting superior, which is never attractive, but let’s face it, who isn’t superior when it comes to women like Tami and Evelyn who have so much to offer but choose to be out of control. To me, Tami is worse only because she is also hypercritical. But they both have no maturity or class, and frankly, I’ve been in the same shoes but don’t treat people like savages using past trauma as a scapegoat.

Off topic but I’m sorry, if your going to make a show called basketball wives please let the women be married to the players not datED, slept with, or divorce from a player. I don’t get it? It would be more exciting to watch that seeing there probably be a whole a lot of drama. Plus we can actually see what happens behind the scenes like when there HUSBAND loses, how they deal with there husband gone all the time, and how they deal with the other players wives you get what I am saying. Like La La show, married to MELO that is fun to watch not this crap. She is a real wife not this fake stuff. Sorry, I needed to say this don’t mean to offend anyone just what I think.

As to the assistant…apparently her and Jen were close friends…close enough that Jen spent the night at her house numerous times and Jen had keys to her apartment. I think they should have worked on whatever issues with their friendship on a different day and one-on-one…and without flailing hands.

Actually last season, she threw the first drink and Eric threw his at her in retaliation….Season one, that was Suzie who threw the drink at the woman arguing with Jennifer.

The other drink throwing was EVLYN throwing a drink at someone when she thought the girl hacked into her computer. The other drink thrower was Suzy.

I have to say I think it’s time we all stand up say that even IF they sign up for a reality show or any show that this is unacceptable behavior and HAS to STOP.. I’m a HUGE reality TV junkie.. but, it’s getting so nasty, hateful, violent, and just pure evil… it’s becoming hard to watch… we don’t want our children acting this way so we shouldn’t support grown ass women that do..

I am happy she is doing something about it because that is more of a message to convey to young girls growing up today in a society filling up more and more with violence and bullying. The ironic part was when they sat down after the bottle throwing. Shaunie was upset and directed right towards Evelyn saying, a bottle went over MY head. Evelyn couldn’t even look at her but just tried to hug her anger even more, when what you really saw was worry. That’s why she then became about the sudden concern for her castmates. You can change locks and keys for a mere $75. I’ve done it twice when I put my husband out of our 4000 sq foot home. Not bragging on the size, but posting to show no matter the size the cost to change locks is minimal. This was all for 15 minutes of fame. Someone needs to assist Nia with a stylist and a make-up artist.

This show was interesting the 1st season to see how these ladies deal with the situations of being married to athletes. The only ones that have been wives are Jen, Shaunie and Tami. So Evelyn is really a non MFing Factor. Basketball wives not fiance’s, ex-girlfriends or baby mama’s. I do think that Tami & SHaunie was wrong for going to the movie premier with Jen and then get with Evelyn and try to call her out. All the ladies are fake if you let me tell it.

I am a single female who is doing very well for herself. When I get bored or lonely, i go to my friends house who is married and has a child and i sleep on her couch most of the time. I do it cos i want company. My friend would definitely not go and brag to pple about the fact that i sleep on her couch cos she knows i live in a very beautiful condo in an expensive area. Moral of this is….cos Jen was staying there does not give Nia the right to keep repeating it and making it look like Jen was squatting with her. If Jen still has her keys i think it is because Jen still considers her a friend. I feel like cos the people that Jen trusted i.e. Eve and Nia were not there for her during her divorce, she wants to stay away from them to heal. It doesn’t mean she hates them. Evelyn has a lot of hate in her and she won’t go very far in life.
Nia needs to seek justice for that wig and them dayum edges…They were also going in on her on twitter talking about “Nia needs to be Styled by June, July, August, AND September”

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I’ll respect it. 
When it comes to this situation, I don’t understand what was the big deal with the comment that Jen made. If someone who I supposedly call a friend were having a similar situation and they made a comment about where was I living and etc. I would say,”I don’t care, I have a roof over my head and my health!”and would’ve kept it moving. Personally, I thought it was retaliation for Jen. Since she couldn’t fight with her hands, she fought with her words.Nia(and Ev) let a petty comment get the best of them in the worst way. The fact that Nia still acted the way she did even after the fact that Jen said she had no issue with her is beyond me. I still can’t believe Jen let Nia come around the table and her like that! I agree that violence should never be the answer but I’m not going to let someone belittle or talk to me any kind of way, then come hit me, and then think it’s okay….that’s a flat out bully.As soon as I would’ve seen her coming I would’ve already been out of my seat and ready to knock someone to their knees if I had to!Either or,if there was an issue Nia had with Jen, never should have gotten violent and it should’ve been discussed between just the two of them. Jmo

Evelyn has some serious anger and mental issues!!! This chick is always mad, fighting and attacking one of the other women in this cast. Jennifer has every right to NOT be BULLIED or attacked physically while filming this show. Shaunie and the rest of the those producers and VH1 have a legal responsibilty to keep her and everyone else safe. In the REAL WORLD Evelyn would have been arrested for her hoodrat antics a few weeks ago when she was throwing bottles and plates at another cast member. Chad should be embarrassed and disgusted in this bird who he is about to wife up. As a matter of fact Evelyn is probably angry because Chad is out there with other women (did he not admit that a few weeks ago). Because anyother woman about to get married would be on cloud nine and happy as hell planning her wedding. Evelyn is angry and Jen has become her target because Jen told her how she felt about Chad from day one and that is when they first started having rifts in their friendship. To be Evil Evlyns friend requires you to agree with everything she says and to put up with her crap. Jennifer get off this show and keep your head up!!!!
Oh and one last thing SHAME ON YOU SHAUNIE!!!!!!!!! I lost all respect (not that I had much) for you this season because you care nothing about any of these women all you care about is yourself and the ratings on the show. You will continue to egged Ev and Tami on when it comes to violent , ignorant behavior because you hope that it will keep the ratings up. You are no better than Evelyn actually you are more disgusting……..
