Adriana De Moura Blames Low Ratings Of RHOM On Joanna Krupa
I’m loving this season of The Real Housewives of Miami but that doesn’t mean other viewers are because it looks like many aren’t giving the show a chance after a terrible first season. A viewer tweeted Adriana De Moura telling her that the latest episode of RHOM was the lowest rated episode ever in any franchise on Real Housewives.
Adriana’s response? She blames Joanna Krupa for low ratings! Oh snap. When the viewer tweeted, “RHOM Episode 6 is lowest rated RH episode across all RH franchises since 2007″ Adriana said, “thank Joanna for that.”

They started this season while airing RHONJ, which was a huge mistake. Bravo probably thought airing the two simultaneously would help RHOM since RHONJ was so intense, but it looks like it backfired. You go from watching RHONJ to watching RHOM (and even RHONY) this year and they are such a bore compared to Jersey. The drama on RHOM is based on last years Gala promoting (which we never saw), tweeting pictures, and pretending to be big-time celebrities. It’s just not that interesting IMO.
I’m really enjoying this season of Miami. It’s a nice balance because I don’t have to drink a bottle of wine beforehand like I do to tolerate RHONJ. So far I’m not impressed with Joanna Krupa. Has there been an episode yet where she and her sister haven’t cried? They cry all the freakin time and treat eachother like shit! I do really like all of the other ladies besides Karent and Leah. But what’s a RH franchise without a bad guy, eh bravo?!?!
Maybe Bravo is just losing viewership since the whole NJ controversy with the producers and the fake editing and all the rest of the shady doings on Bravo’s part
I actually like this season of Miami. IMO the first seasons (or in this case the second) of any of the cities are the best. The ladies usually have jobs and don’t intensely hate each other yet, and they haven’t resorted to using the platform as just an infomercial. The drama to me seems fun so far, not depressing and aggravating like NJ has become. I agree with Rebecca it was a bad idea to start it up in the most amped up drama of NJ AND NY. Its hard to be invested in 3 franchises at once for me at least.
And they are about to start RHOBH and RHOA while RHOM finishes (again, thinking that if people tune in those two bigger series, they’ll also tune into Miami, which I just dont think is the case). Maybe if RHOM was on with just one other HW’s it would have been okay (like you said Catface, it’s hard to follow 3 series at once, but 2 is doable.) I also think that Thursday is a bad day for the show. It competes with NBC’s comedy line up, and to me, Thursday is close enough to the weekend where I will just catch re-runs and not worry about watching the initial airing.
I totally agree with this. Bravo has not been making the best decisions lately I think. It almost seems like there are too many of these housewives shows now, its hard to keep up with all of them and all the changes in cast every season. I start to like one and before I know it they are gone the next season.
I agree. You know celebrities will only do so many appearances to keep from watering down their brand.. Its no different with the HW shows. Too many will wear the viewers down.
I personally like Miami after NJ. NJ was a nightmare and disgusting to watch a family torn apart for ratings.
I dont like Audriana she is in love with herself. I dont like Johanna either.. but, if anything, she is responsible for getting the RHOM “OUT THERE” with using Teresas name to cause drama, her mess with Joe Francis and being photgraphed topless.. If anything, Johanna is responsible for earning the viewers they have now! LOL

Andy and Bravo deserve the low ratings…many fans, really super fans, that have watched every HW franchise the last 6 years have said they are done with Bravo for how they set up Tre on RHNJ, brought on family to take her down, falsely edited the order of events as they took place to rewrite history, had producers set up cast members, and edited quotes and interviews out of context and order. There were so many posts after the final RHNJ episode that said “I am done with Bravo”…I guess the fans have had enough!

I don’t watch it, bc of Andy; how unfair he was to Tre. It’s a teach him a lesson that we the viewers make him rich and not the other way around.
He has been truly unjust and unfair to Tre and I think that has turned many viewers off and angry. I will be only watching RHoNJ, only if Tre is in it, and that’s that. So really…the blame is on Andy.
I wouldn’t watch that show if you paid me.
Why do people think Miami is so bad? I personally love it. It’s not as annoying and drama infused like RHONJ.

Me too! Anything is better than NJ. It’s just not fun if they do nothing but fight with each other! Also, less husbands, more wives!!! A little cat fighting is fun, all out war, sucks! Sooooo glad NJ is OVAAAHHH!!!

I would not blame low ratings on Joanna, or Joanna alone LOL! People gave up on since first season and most likely did not tune back in. Not every franchise will have the same ratings, duh Bravo!
I’m with you, I love this seaason of RHoM. I haven’t watched RHoNJ since first episode of season 3 and glad I stopped.
In addition to the Miami women for the most part really having money and jobs. THe scenery is wonderful. The houses scream real money. The night life, you know its Miami. Unlike some of the other shows where the city isn’t really featured I think its great that aspects that make Miami as a city unique are highlighted in the show.
I also love how a lot of these women are highly educated. I don’t watch these shows for disgusting trashy drama. I want to see opulence, yachts, mansions, etc.
She was complaining about the ratings at last year’s live reunion show too. She tries too hard for ratings and it comes off very fake.
I really like Miami. I personally do not like Joanna but she has is not to blame for low ratings.
I really wanted to like Joanna but she is so whiny and after she started saying negative things about Teresa it just went down hill from there. I hope she redeems herself somehow.

Joanna seemed ok on dwts but I’ve started noticing she has a really big mouth (PETA and insulting Teresa, drama at bf club). It’s not a good look. That stuff catches up with you and it leaves more room for peeps to get offended and tune out.
Adriana is just a bitter old bitch. Why would joanna have anything to do with the low ratings? If anything her story line is more interesting than adrianas-(a supermodel, dating a miami socialite who cheats on her, who causes drama with his fiances sister, who are both being accused of sleeping with joe francis, and now joannas being accused of being an escort) what does adriana bring to the table? Karent beat her to the tweet? Shes moving into a boat???? Come on now adriana. I honestly love RHOM. i love the city and the women are obviously eye candy to viewers! And mama elsa is awesome. I WISH she slapped elayne with her pocket book!

I like RHOM, and I dont think any ratings problems are the fault of Joanna. That because said, Joanna is totally nuts. She is so awful to her sister, I wish they would make Marta a housewife and demote Joanna. She is just a grade a bitch…

I agree I can’t stand Joanna or the way she treats her sister. The only thing that keeps me from having intense sympathy for Marta is that she seems like she mooches off her sister so that doesn’t help the situation.
It looks to me like Marta is kind of her personal assistant. I personally think Marta is a lot prettier than Joanna, and she should be the model..

I watched last season and was a little disappointed, but not enough to not give it a try again. I think Leah is well aware of the cameras and is always facing/playing up to them. Which is a shame because I liked her levelheadedness last season. Joanna does have a storyline that should be interesting, but being new I’m not invested enough to care. Karent…snooze. It’s obvious her man isn’t faithful. So, it’s hard to respect her and her other accomplishments. I like all the rest the same as last season. Ana’s ex creeps me out a bit with his vulgar convos with his daughters. Eek!
I don’t think it’s anyone’s fault on this season… I think it’s due to how horrible last season was…. I was reluctant to give it another shot… I did and I’m glad… I’m not team anyone… I think my favorite is Lisa so far… the others one episode I like them, the next I don’t……

Maybe the reason RHOM is failing is because the women speak very little English and have very thick accents and when they scream like banshees you can’t understand anything they are saying? That would be my guess. Why Bravo gave this show another chance is beyond me.
That’s what I have been saying all along! Finally, someone else gets it. And it’s the same with the men. Couldn’t Bravo find any wealthy women in Miami where english wasn’t their second language?

I can’t always understand the heavy NJ accents that come out when the RHONJ ladies are screaming and yelling. That’s what the DVR is for.
By your criteria, then anyone with any hint of an accent, should be banned from reality tv.
Did I say they don’t speak English? No, I said they speak VERY LITTLE English. And there are still many people in Miami that don’t have thick accents that are actually wealthy, why couldn’t Bravo pick any of them? Or why couldn’t they pick anyone who was born in this country? I can guarantee you if they had, the show would probably be more successful.
People can understand the NJ women perfectly. That is because English is their first language (with the exception of Teresa, but even her English is better than the Miami women) and their accents are not that bad.
I didn’t say people with thick accents should be banned from TV. If you have a pretty sounding accent like British, French, or any other European accent, that’s fine. But not ugly accents like Cuban or Brazilian.

No, last season was so bad and all of them annoyed me to the extreme so I couldn’t watch but I read you blog about them and laugh. Same with NY.

She tried to pull this crap with Larsa and Cristy at the reunion in the WWHL Clubhouse after Season 1. She blamed them for the show not being successful and sounded very envious of the RHOBH success. (FYI I don’t like Larsa, Cristy or Adriana)
I’m not Team KarenT or anything like that but I think Adriana is the one who is desperate for the limelight. She wants it so bad the girl can’t see straight. It was evident in S1 and now again in S2.
I quit watching. I am so over all these HWs (who most are D-list at best)doing anything and everything to make sure they’re the most important ones on their cast. I’m sick of all the arguing and petty drama.
I had high hopes for S2 but I’ve been let down.

I am loving this season, but I did not like Adriana last season and really dont this season either.
I’m with you, I’m loving this season of Miami! I don’t like Adriana either. She tries too hard to make waves, and I’m pretty sure she’s only with her man for the money/security. She doesn’t seem to like him that much. Did you see how in this week’s episode she punches Joanna in the face? I think she’s saying all of this stuff in the press to make it an easier pill for all of us to swallow that she physically assaults Joanna on camera… She’s already on the offense.
I’m enjoying it the cat fighting and cattiness is not over the top and makes the show dramatic but entertaining.
No offense, but even though this season is amazing, I prefer to watch “Project Runway” instead of RHOM… I think that the cast is wonderful, the story lines are interesting but… I know that Bravo will repeat the episode over and over so I prefer to watch it later!!
I tried to watch the first episode of the first season and didn’t make it through the entire hour. I haven’t given it any more of my time. Bravo needs to spread these franchises out and not expect us to spend three hours of our week watching Housewives. I watched the RHONY and will watch RHOBH. One hour on the Housewives per week is enough. I prefer to watch Project Runway on Thursday.

On a PR note, Isaac Mizrahi is really hitting the critiques hard at it’s only week 1. I am looking forward to the rest of the season.
