Actor Joe Pantoliano Disgusted With Real Housewives; Calls Taylor Armstrong Out!
Actor and former Soprano star Joe Pantoliano says he’s disgusted with The Real Housewives specifically Taylor Armstrong! Joe and Taylor both attended a charity event when Joe was just disgusted with what he could hear Taylor say. As you all know, Taylor Armstrong’s hubby Russell committed suicide and this happened just three weeks after Amy Winehouse passed away. Taylor was supposed to be on the cover of People but because Amy passed, Taylor was pushed to the side of the magazine.
Joe told AllisonWord, “There she was, having breakfast across the way from me. You could see she had all of this work done, and she was complaining how Amy Winehouse knocked her off the cover of People magazine because she up and died, and that she would have gotten the cover because her husband committed suicide. Not kidding you.”
Wow! Taylor’s rep is denying the claims saying, “She’s incredibly insulted by this false accusation. It is also impossible that this would have been the case since Amy Winehouse died almost a month before Russell, and therefore Amy would have been on the cover when Russell was still alive and well. It is shocking that Mr Pantoliano would say this, as it is extremely morbid and makes light of the death of both Taylor’s husband and Miss Winehouse.”

I mean Taylor is a jerk, not Joe.
Did some research and looks like Amy Winehouse died 7/23, Russell died 8/15. Amy W was on the cover of People 8/8. Even though the dates don’t match up, I still believe it’s more likely something like that would come out of Taylor’s mouth than that this guy is a liar. I’d be more willing to believe what he’s saying in a heartbeat. It makes it even more pathetic that the dates don’t match up, because she was just fishing for attention again. I feel sorry for her.
Since the dates don’t match up, his story is refuted and you provide the proof. In this case, you are not even believing your own research based on your animus for her.
His story isn’t “refuted” because it’s still possible that it came out of her mouth. His story being refuted would be a result of them never being in the same place for him to hear her say this, but it sounds like they were. Again, there’s been tons of other BS that comes out of Taylor’s mouth. Based on that alone I’d be willing to belive my 2 year old telling me the grass is purple before I’d believe anything she says.

I think the facts show that Amy died three weeks before russell. They also show that Taylor was in the issue of people that had Amy on the cover – a week before Russell died.
The facts refute nothing – they merely call into question joe pants supposition as to WHY she made the statement about Amy’s dying pushing her off the cover. Was Taylor’s overheard comment in poor taste? Of course it was. With or without Russell’s untimely demise the statement speaks of a person with no ability to consider others in world view.

The article was about her speration/divorce, not the suicide. The date of Russell’s death is not a factor in this case. I blieve she said it.
It’s hard to believe what would motive him to lie and how he came up with such a story. Perhaps he knew the date that Amy died. Perhaps. But it’s hard to imagine him being so invested in the storyline that he remembered the week Russell died.
I believe it – read the article and you’d see that his suicide was not mentioned because he was still alive at that time.
The article referred to their separation, not his death. I think this article was all set to go, but Amy Winehouse died so she lost the cover.
I believe he overheard her say exactly that. Amy died but wasn’t buried right away as there was an autopsy so there were probably a few covers with Amy between time of death and the funeral
I am from the UK – there was a lot of coverage about this.
There was a post mortem examination, but with Amy being Jewish they believe in burying the body as soon after death as possible, I think it was a Saturday she died (my sun was born a few days before so I remember it quite clearly).
I think she was buried only a few days later.
Anyway depending on how often this magazine is published, and when it goes to press, would determine when the story goes out. So if she died before going to press then she would make the cover.
I don’t watch the Real Housewives with Taylor in it, and don’t really know much about her. However how bad of Amy to do inconveniently die the week that Taylor was due to be on the magazine cover. I mean how dare she go and die.

You said it! Taylor ran a tremendously strong defamation campaign against her husband before his tragic death. The self-proclaimed “big crybaby” left him no way to respond to the accusations or implications she made in a very public way on a national forum with every tear she shed behind his back. After his suicide, apparently she expected to play the role of victim once again. But not everybody’s buying it. Where does Bravo find these awful people? How about showing a modicum of respect for the dead? The book is only meant to line her pockets and lend credibility to her victim persona. Expect the sequel when her next cash cow husband becomes insolvent. Suckers beware!

Sorry, the dates totally cast doubt on his story. He may have heard something that annoyed him but remembers it incorrectly. She may have said something comparing suicide to overdose or some such, but the stuff about the cover makes no sense.

Perhaps she was scheduled for the cover (it was breaking news w/ drama) and Amy Winehouse’s death superceded that decision and she was demoted to the inside pages. And, she certainly could have and WOULD have complained about that. But, Amy was a world-renowned talent and Taylor is a fake on a reality show: only Taylor would find those two positions comparable in importance. whatever else Joe heard might have gotten confused or Taylor was drinking and confused, but the point is the woman is full of herself and I put nothing past her – based on what I have witnessed.
i agree she probably said something to annoy him, but clearly she did not make the exact claim he makes. There’s more callousness in the “getting the cover because he committed suicide” than in getting a cover because she left him and more callousness in saying that after his death than before it. His story is worse than what fits the timeline.
However, celebrity fatuousness is not new and not limited to Taylor Armstrong.
Look at the link to the issue the dates DO match up. Taylor has been seen lying over and over again on the show. Telling her friends her husband beats her and when confronted in the limo with husband and friends all together, the gig was up. She lied and lied and lied, and it was all caught on camera. I don’t think Russell was a saint, but he is dead and frankly Taylor’s behavior before and since then continues to be that of a grifter…..

Hey cammi ltns. The only reason I think joe pants has cred here is that Taylor was in the same issue as the one w Amy winehouse on the cover (8/8). (Amy dies 7/23 and Russell died 8/15) So I could see Taylor saying something about Amy’s dying knocking her off the cover – but not having anything to do w Russells demise. I think that may have been some after the ct quarterbacking on someone part – maybe even Joes. But I do believe that Taylor would say something derisive about Amy’s passing knocking her off the cover. She has no compassion for anyone – except herself to whom she has an endless flood of tears and pity.

-listen, I’m not huge Taylor fan, but…if I was just a reality star about to appear on the cover of a major weekly magazine, I might snipe to my friends at lunch about someone knocking me off of it too. Is it a little selfish and un-sympathetic to Amy Winehouse? Yes. But I’m sure my friends would “get it”. I bet Taylor is pretty embarrassed that this is coming out, especially since she had to deal with a suicide herself a week or so later….

I think Taylor was obviously going to be on a cover telling her story about her trials and tribulations living with Russell and how she “Got Strong And Left Him” but a story on Amy Winehouse made the cover. Look, it doesn’t matter who died when, first, everybody knows these magazines don’t just tell one story. They drag on story after story after story. So it does make sense that Taylor would say that. Also, why would Joe Pantoliano want to lie? To make the cover of real housewives story? I doubt it.

I agree with you. I would turn to that show for comic relief. It was just that. Because it had violence, it was considered a dark comedy. I did laugh quite a lot watching that show. I to was surprised to find out just how serious so many people took that show. I laughed a lot with that show. Good Show!
I am sure that Joey Pantaliano doesn’t remember when Amy Winehouse overdosed and died, or the date that Russell committed suicide, so he had to hear something in order for him to be correct about the information. Taylor may have thought/knew she was to be on the cover because of her alleged abuse story, but then Amy Winehouse died, and got the cover. The fact that this woman one year later, not even actually, is sitting complaining about not getting a magazine cover is so disgusting, considering Amy Winehouse overdosed and her husband committed suicide not quite a year ago. None of us would remember the exact dates or that these two people died within 3 weeks of each other, unless we looked it up. To me, this is evidence enough that Joe did in fact hear her talking about it. How insensitive and evil is this woman? I am glad that her conversation was overheard, and he commented on it, so that everyone could see just how low this woman really is. The fact of the matter is that she can say what ever she wants now, because Russell cannot refute anything. So, I believe her comments were made, and her rep can deny this all they want, but the man didn’t make it up, because as I said, how many of us remember when both deaths occurred or that they happened so close together or who was on a magazine cover, and when. Unbelievable, isn’t it, that a year later, this is what she is concerned about, and not the fact that the one year anniversary of her husbands death is next week.
