Former Real Housewives of Orange County star, Gretchen Rossi, may be a mommy this year!
Gretchen and her fiancé Slade Smiley, are looking to expand their family. They have been trying for a baby for quite some time. It turns out that Gretchen is now planning IVF to conceive a baby with Slade. He also previously had his vasectomy reversed. According to Radar Online, Gretchen said, “I know that Slade and I would make great parents because we both love kids and I feel like I am a great mom to our three dogs, so, let’s give it a shot.”
It’s no secret that they have tried IVF in the past, but it’s very common for it to not work the first time around. However; the doctors are optimistic. “We have had good feedback from our doctors about our bodies,” Gretchen explained.
Rumor also has it, that Gretchen and Slade are in negotiations to get back on the show. Remember in Andy Cohen’s memoir, he referenced a housewife that was fired? Everyone knows that he was talking about Gretchen and Slade, and how them being let go from the show put a huge financial burden on them. They definitely would return for the money, if given the chance! Plus, having babies and IVF are both expensive. The extra Bravo cash couldn’t hurt. Perhaps the new baby will be the perfect welcome back storyline for them if they return to RHOC!
I can tell that Gretchen really wants to be a mommy, so I am really hoping it happens for her. IVF is a long process for women and it can be very stressful. Gretchen would be a good mom, in my opinion. I felt bad when she was let go from RHOC, but Real Housewives isn’t a steady profession to have. You can’t rely on having that salary every year. Each season of the show is a treat, for the cast and viewers, but it’s not guaranteed. It could be super entertaining to have Gretchen make her return to Orange County! Especially if she’s a new mom at the time. We’ll have to stay tuned!
