Let's Discuss: Melissa Gorga Real Housewives of New Jersey - RHONJ

Is Melissa Gorga the Ultimate Soccer Mom?!?!

Melissa Gorga is a lot of thingsa reality TV star, retired popstar, boss lady, wife, and mother. And now she can add ultimate soccer mom to the list.

Well, it turns out that Melissa is the “only mom” who drops off and picks up her son, Joey, at every practice for his private soccer team in Franklin Lakes.

“It’s usually only nannies doing the driving,” a source told Page Six, “but Melissa is there at every single practice.”

“It’s not all fun and games. It’s very strict” an insider reveals, adding that the parents and nannies can’t stay and watch the practices.

The private team also can’t bench athletes so they will be making cuts to the team in April. Good luck to little Joey -hopefully he makes the team!

I’m not surprised one bit that Melissa takes her kids to all their practices and games. Melissa always seems very involved in her kids lives and activities as do most of the Jersey Housewives. I mean Melissa is doing something that a good portion of mothers do on a daily basis so she doesn’t deserve a gold star for it but she could easily pass her kids off to a nanny and focus solely on fame and success so I give her credit for that.

Are you surprised Melissa is the only mom who takes her son to practice? Is it surprising the Gorga’s don’t have a nanny with their busy schedules?

  • Excuse me, but are there that many “rich, rich” families in that area that would send a nanny to drop off or pick up a kid? Possibly, but honestly, it looks like most soccer, baseball or football practices in any community. Maybe adding the word “private” means it just includes kids who signed up. Just plain grasping at straws with this one.

  • How does she stay at every practice when it states it’s so strict no one can stay and watch ? Unreal . And whoo pie doo da- most of us moms are about that life and have been . Put me on display lol
How does anyone know if so private ( what a joke ) who isdrooppo g and picking up ? This is ridiculous and I can’t believe I commented on it lol

  • Good that Melissa is involed in her kid’s lives being famous doesn’t mean that kids don’t need their mom

  • Sooooo I am supposed to applaud the fact that she takes her kid to soccer practice?!? This is a joke right?? Who gives a whoopedy doo. This had to have been planted by her team. Shame on you Melissa!

  • LOL! The only reason she is the only mom is because she cannot afford a nanny. #always being sued.

  • the parents and nannies can’t stay and watch the practices….um a pedophiles dream come true…no way in hell.

  • I was a soccer mom, assistant coach, a licensed coach, coaching director, referee director & newsletter coordinator, while my 2 sons played soccer for the town soccer club. I have never, ever heard of a “Private Team” before. What is that???

      • hahaha… That makes sense, thanks. What a “soccer mom”!!! She doesn’t know the correct term for what kind of team her kid is on. Plus, a “soccer mom” is not simply someone who does drop off & pick up. Otherwise, the nannies can claim that title, too. LOL

      • Yes but even with those such as AAU teams or whatever that was never a rule , not where I’m from . We have coached , taxied , assisted , just been fans in stands also

  • First things first.
Melissa was never a pop “star” to begin with, so edit the sentence to read failed, not retired.

Second, Melissa can’t afford a Nanny and her sisters live in Toms River, so there’s that.
