Let's Discuss: Melissa Gorga Real Housewives of New Jersey - RHONJ Teresa Giudice

How Is Teresa Giudice Navigating This Bittersweet Christmas Without Her Mom and Joe?

This holiday season will be bittersweet for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.

It will be the first Christmas Teresa will celebrate without her beloved mom, Antonia Gorga, who passed away from pneumonia in March.

To make matters worse Teresa’s dad, Giacinto Gorga was recently hospitalized in November for pneumonia.

“It’s a nightmare and absolutely terrifying for Teresa to go through this against with the only parent she has left,” an insider reveals to Life & Style.

In fact, insiders say Teresa “hasn’t been able to concentrate on Christmas” with her mom gone and her dad ill.

“The wounds have still not healed from her mother’s passing,” the insider adds.

On top of all of that, Teresa also has to navigate the holidays as a single parent which isn’t easy for the hardworking reality TV star.

Currently, Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice, is serving a prison sentence for fraud.

“She’s been working a lot, making public appearances and wrapping The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” the insider points out.

Still, Teresa is extremely determined to give her kids and family an amazing Christmas.

“Teresa’s staying strong,” wraps the insider, “because she has to put on a brave face for her kids.”

Honestly, I know what my mom went through as a single mom of two after my dad died so I can only imagine how difficult it is for Teresa with four kids and an ailing father. The good news is Joe will be back eventually, and Teresa can lean on her Joe and Melissa for support especially when it comes to their dad. I hope Tre and her family have a fantastic Christmas. Hopefully, we all have a fabulous holiday – I know I could use one for sure!

How do you think Teresa is navigating the holiday season without her Mom and Joe?

  • The first Christmas without my mother, for a lack of a better word, sucked. You just make the best of it.

  • I can’t even imagine not having my mama around so my heart goes out to Teresa and her family…the first of everything, holidays, events, etc, without a loved one are always difficult.

  • Such compassion for the Giudice family – loss is felt non stop and different things trigger the emotion. During the holidays the feelings intensify, but of course like most single parents..they will #StandStrong and confide in a close friend or family member that is NOT on national TV.

So brutal, cuz they are not only dealing with loss, but memories of past Christmas’s.

  • Her mother passed no doubt due to a compromised immune system brought on by the stress Teresa and her thieving lifestyle caused. #stressKills.

    • What a warm soul you are. Is your life perfect? I will wish you a happy holiday. Maybe your heart will grow.

      • Yes, it is “perfectly“ jail free, mortgage fraud free and bankruptcy fraud free. Happy holidays! #StressKills

        • I agree with you Betty! There are so many people deserving of our admiration who have ALSO worked hard for what they have!! Teresa Guidice is certainly not one of them! Shame on Bravo for promoting Teresa’s fraudulent, CRIMINAL lifestyle!! The fact that she has “fans” proves that the TV can brainwash otherwise intelligent people. C’mon people, if Teresa had done these things but you DIDN’t know her from RHONJ, then you would think she was just another trashy felon trying to get by without the hard work that most of us have to do to survive in this world. And don’t come at me with the “she didn’t know, it was all Joe” BS …. while she was running around dropping thousands (in cash only — red flag!!) all over NJ.

          • They wish they were her. Odd. She talks a big game, “family, family, family”. It’s more like, “Steal, steal, steal.”
