Let's Discuss: Real Housewives of New Jersey - RHONJ Teresa Giudice

Did Teresa and Joe Giudice’s Wedding Photo Trigger a MAJOR lawsuit?!?!

MOUNT POCONO, PA - MARCH 05: Teresa Giudice, (L) star of The Real Houswives of New Jersey, and Joe Giudice appears at Mount Airy Resort Casino for a book signing and meet and greet on March 5, 2016 in Mount Pocono City. (Photo by Paul Zimmerman/Getty Images for Mount Airy Casino Resort)

Teresa and Joe Giudice‘s wedding day may be ancient history but it turns out one of their wedding photos is still causing quite the stir.

Photographer Neil Clipper filed a lawsuit against Wetpaint.com for a story titled Teresa Giudice May Skip Visiting Imprisoned Joe on Their Anniversary” which included the below photo.

It turns out that said photo is the focus of Clipper’s lawsuit against Wetpaint.

According to TMZ, Clipper claims that Wetpaint did not have permission to run the photo and wants $150,000 minimum. Yikes.

However, some claim that since Teresa paid for the service she should own the rights to the photo and that Clipper’s lawsuit is nothing more than frivolous.

Stay glued to AllAboutTRH for more on this developing story.

Thoughts on Clipper’s lawsuit? Do you think Clipper’s lawsuit is legit?

the photog needs a photo release to claim their paid for pictures. those pictures belong to tre and joe.

  • Nikki

Nope the photographer owns all rights unless he/she signed a waiver giving Tre & Juicy the rights other then those that were purchased as part of their “package”. Although, may have been an outside party that found the photo & posted it. Might have been several so good luck to the guy sueing!

I actually don’t understand the legal issues to do with a picture that originated from a professional photographer.

This picture can be googled…so I wonder if the photographer is suing because the picture does not give him photog credit? if that is the reason, he will loose..cuz once a picture hits social media, the picture can be:

    – googled
    – downloaded
    – edited
    – cropped
the initial pic will never look the same.

I remember a Teresa Guidice fan twitter account complaining that people were “lifting” Exclusive pics of the Guidice family – on the accounts timeline…that is a useless complaint…cuz anyone can take the pic and edit it.
