There are many reasons women becomes housewives. Some of these reasons include fame, TV ad time, a way for them to make money
so they can divorce their husbands.
Apparently there are many perks as Kelly Dodd recently spilled the beans about some of the extras that come with the title of “Real Housewife.”
“You get to meet really, really rad people. It just opens up opportunities and doors and you get to travel and just see neat places. There’s a lot of perks.”
“Getting into Coldplay concerts, getting into a bar, getting into restaurants … those perks are, like, so rad.”
You would think that a wealthy woman such as Kelly wouldn’t have any trouble getting into restaurants or getting great seats at a concert, but apparently reality TV fame can make the sweet life even sweeter.
Case in point? Before TV fame Kelly may have drank top shelf but not $600 drinks!
“I just had this guy who lives in California, he bought me a $600 King Louis scotch or whiskey or whatever it was.”
Maybe the guy was hoping Kelly got drunk and act out her Quiet Woman scene again?
Kelly did admit there was some downsides of fame (tweets and comments can be brutal) stating:
“with the good, comes the bad. Pick your poison.”
Many of the wives are wealthy on their own and don’t need the money. A lot of the ladies do it for the fame or to give a product or start up business TV ad time. As many of the ladies end up getting divorced, it also gives them a chance to earn their own income and get some exposure for their next step!
In my opinion, it’s hard to say if the fame is worth it as there are a lot of downsides that come with getting the ‘housewife’ title.
Do you think the good outweighs the bad when it comes to becoming a housewife?
