Vicki Gunvalson: Rising Above the Shadows

Vicki Gunvalson claims she’s over the “dark” turn season 10 of the Real Housewives of Orange County has taken and wants nothing more than to make amends with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador. “I am looking for reconciliation,” Vicki reveals to Radar Online. “I want the slate clean. I’m never going to get an apology. I’m okay with that.” In fact, the OG of the OC previously told Radar that the OC cast needs a “clean slate to happen if we want to be able to film again and work together.” However, Vicki admits she’s still “hurt” by the ladies and them constantly making fun of her especially when she was sick with the flu during episode 12. “Anybody would be hurt. I was in the influenza B situation; I was home sick. Sicker than a dog, my daughter’s a nurse and said ‘Do not go out, don’t go film.’ I didn’t know what the other ladies said. When I saw Tamra say, ‘Yes, she’s not coming,’ yeah it hurts. Because nobody wants to be left out; nobody wants to feel that they’re not wanted.” As for the show, Vicki says “It’s gotten for me, too dark. I’m a bright, hopefull optimistic person. I love my Lord. I believe in forgiveness. I believe we can all move on and put our past behind us. I’m a believer in that. I can only control me.” Vicki once again seems to be putting all the blame on her RHOC co-stars. “In this group, there are a couple of bad apples,” Vicki explains. “Think of an apple that gets bruised. We have to get that apple healthy again. Everybody has a good heart. We just have to get back on track.” In fact, Vicki says she’s ready to spearhead getting the OC cast back on track. “I’m going to be the leader of the train,” Vicki claims. “I’m going to ask everybody to go on a train. If we have all have to go smoke a peace pipe together, I’ll do that. Why not try to be in a good place with friendships? I’m going to do a shot of tequila. Let’s have fun!” Despite her optimism, Vicki isn’t nieve and knows that Shannon Beador will be hard to win over. “I don’t even know what I did! I don’t know what I did! I didn’t kill anybody; I didn’t steal. What did I do? That’s her canoe she’s got to row. I know who I am. I know I am a good friend. I know I get hurt, I know I make mistakes,” Vicki said of Shannon. Meanwhile, Vicki wraps up by making it clear she’s not taking accountability for any of the crimes against her and instead wants to simply move on. “I already know my truth. I am not guilty of those things they want to accuse me of. Carry on, smile, have a shot of tequila, give everybody a kiss and move on!” I agree that RHOC has become dark and sucked all the fun out of the show, but Vicki needs to own her shit and just freaking apologize than everyone can move on.

Do you think Vicki can repair her friendships with Shannon and Tamra? Has RHOC gotten “too dark?”
