Former Real Housewives of New York star Jules Wainstein and her soon-to-be ex-husband Michael were back in court this week, and things are nastier than ever between the estranged couple.
In court, Jules’ attorney claimed that Michael has refused to pay child support, maintenance, and legal fees since their split which totals $135,000.
Adding that instead, Michael is spending the funds on his lavish lifestyle.
“He comes up with money for his own purposes,” Jules’ lawyer told the judge in court. “He flies to Florida, he pays for his own expenses, dines out, threw a laser tag birthday party for his son at Chelsea Piers…When you say, you don’t have money you should have priorities.”
Jules’ attorney then asked for Michael to be held in contempt of court.
However, Michael’s legal team denies these claims and says their client only owes $34,000.
“He’s paid Con Ed, he’s had his mom pay for the kids’ summer camp, I would say the contempt is not clear,” his attorney argued. “I have a dispute with how it’s calculated. To me, it’s not clear what he needs to be paying. He’s been in good faith. He paid $3,000 this week for child support.”
Despite Michael’s lawyers best efforts, the judge sided with Jules and ordered a money judgment.
The RHONY couple is due back in court in July.
Ugh, Michael disgusts me! I hope Jules gets everything! Jules needs to watch The First Wives Club and take notes. Remember Jules, “Don’t get mad, get EVERYTHING!”
