Teresa Giudice And Family Pays Tribute To Her Late Mother Antonia Gorga

This past Friday AllAboutTRH sadly confirmed that Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s mother Antonia Gorga passed away at 66 years old. Antonia Gorga has made many appearances on the Real Housewives and had an extreme close relationship with her daughter Teresa. When Teresa was away serving time Teresa’s mother Antonia and her father Giacinto helped Joe Giudice care for Teresa’s four children.

We revealed that Antonia Gorga had been in the hospital for a couple of months and ultimately passed of natural causes. Our sources tell us that Teresa is absolutely devastated by her mother’s passing saying, “Her mother was everything to her. They had an undeniably close relationship. Teresa has always tried to stay strong for the sake of her girls but with losing her best friend she is suffering as any daughter would be. It’s been especially hard for Teresa to witness her father break down knowing he has lost the love of his life.”

Teresa posted on her social media account late Saturday night thanking everyone for their support through this tragic time writing, “Thank you for the love and support during this extremely difficult time. My mother was a very cherished part of our family and she’ll be deeply missed. Each and every one of your messages of love & support are so appreciated. Give her eternal rest O Lord and may your light shine on her forever.”

Teresa’s daughters Gia and Milania also took to their personal Instagram page to pay tribute to their grandmother.

Antonia is survived by Teresa, Joe, their father Giacinto Gorga and seven grandchildren. Our thoughts and prayer continue to go out to the family through this difficult time.

  • My heart breaks for this family, with these families fighting amongst themselves since HWNJ started……sure wasted good quality time of life. Hope they all change their ways and be kind to each other.

  • Teresa mi dispiace molto anchi michiamo Teresa e sono di Napoli anchi persi mia mamma e mio padre lo so il dolore fortissimo spero che il Signore ti da la forza e tu stavicino a tuo fratello midispiace moltissimo .

  • The pain, of losing a parent is a pain like no other, you remember years later – the pain of the loss. Good for Teresa making sure there was a strong connection to nonna – you can hear the connection in the girls goodbye messages. The Giudice’s will become closer based on so much loss.

Yesterday Jac’s instagrammed a quote of condolence, but never addressed it to the Giudice’s.

  • Losing your mother is so painful. It’s been a few years for me, and it still seems like yesterday.

Keep her family in your prayers, everyone. They have a rough road ahead of them.

  • I feel so bad for Teresa and the girls and all the grandkids. May Antonia rest in peace. I will continue to pray for Teresa’s family. I will pray for the Gorge family and the Gorge kids as well.

  • You just know that Kat, Ms Marco, and the rest of the hags will offer insincere condolences. They ruined the family dynamic by coming on the show. All they had to do was leave Mrs Gorga’s daughter alone. So glad Tre and her daughters have wonderful memories to share. Mrs Gorga was a class act.

    • Oh please. She taught Teresa how to be a spoiled brat. Someone did. That resulted in her stealing and going to prison. This put grandma in the grave. Stress. Same with Slo Joe Giudice’ dad. Next, up papa Gorga. All due to Teresa

      • I can understand trashing the housewives you don’t like—-I do it all the time. But writing this shit when one’s mother dies really speaks volumes as to what kind of a person you are. You are a piece of crap girl/thing/whatever you are. You will be sorry one day.

  • So sad. The woman was young for today’s era. Teresa must be devastated. I hate this. I wonder if her dad will move in with her. Being around the grandchildren might help him & them as well. I bet it was very hard on them with Joe being in jail. His dad dies about the same age. I hope they all pull together. It is strange, like people are saying, with her dad being the one she worried about. To lose your parent or parents is the worst, especially when they are younger. Of course you are never ready to say good bye to a loved one. I think Mrs. gorge was the backbone & probably kept her stress in, not wanting people to be worried, but it must have been so hard on her seeing her daughter & grandchildren suffer, plus her husband not doing well. I am truly shocked.

  • Omg…I just can’t believe this news. After all this family has gone through, to loose their wife, mother and nonna. Prayers to all of you. May Antonia Rest in Peace.

  • I knew Teresa’s father had health issues but not her mother. This must be devastating for her and Joe Gorga and all the grandchildren. Condolences to them.

    • I agree. I thought her dad was the one struggling with health problems. I just pray that this devastating loss doesn’t mean her father gives up the fight. It would be too much to bear for the family.

  • The plethora of emotions of each of the Giudice family is palpable and it is assumed that the gorga family and the Giudice family will surround Teresa and Joe and the children with love. Teresa has made it known, that her daily visits to her parents is important, she created a lasting relation between Joe (her brother) and their parents while she was in prison. Extracting a promise from her brother to visit their mom and dad, daily, created a positive relationship between Joe and his mom and dad. I feel so bad for the Giudice girls, their lives were enriched by all family, Teresa made sure of that, being with nonna Gorga was priority #1.

As I said before, the Gorga’s extended family and the Giudice extended family will surround Teresa and Joe and the children with love and support.

    R.I.P. nonna Gorga
