Mob Wives’ Brittany Fogarty on Being Banned from Big Ang’s Funeral: I Was ‘Crying Hysterically’

It seems that even in death Mob Wives star Big Ang couldn’t even escape the drama in her life. Big Ang was laid to rest over the weekend, and several of her Mob Wives co-stars were banned from attending. In a statement to Us Weekly Brittany Fogarty opens up about being prohibited from attending Big Ang’s funeral, due to her father’s past actions of being “rat.”

In her statement Brittany recalled her love for Ang and how hysterical and upset, she was over not being able to attend Ang’s funeral.

“I think that it’s unfortunate that I couldn’t be at any of Ang’s services this weekend, and that I couldn’t say bye to her in that way. The last thing that I would want is to go there and cause a scene. This is about celebrating Ang’s life and the fact that her family has to say bye to such a beautiful person, and I want to respect that. I was called on Saturday, by a mutual friend, and told not to attend the services because of something my father did. I was in my car heading over and pulled over and started hysterically crying. I was already upset because I was headed to her services, but pulled over and cried hysterically when I found out I couldn’t go. I was really taken aback when I received the call; I was not expecting it at all. Ang never judged me for the actions of my father. The fact that he cooperated with police never influenced her opinion of me, and I loved her for that. I don’t want to make this about me, or about what my father did. I understand that this is what happens in our world. I don’t think it’s right to punish me for something that I had no part of, but if that’s what will make this easier for Ang’s family, then that’s what I want to do. I don’t think that’s what Ang would have wanted, but that’s how it is. I’m going to have to say bye to her on my own time; I’m going to visit the cemetery this week and go pay my respects and say goodbye to Ang in that way. This service is about her family saying goodbye.”

It’s a shame that drama had to surround Big Ang’s funeral because Ang hated the bullshit and drama.

Are you surprised Brittany was banned from attending Big Ang’s funeral? Should Brittany have been allowed to go the funeral?

    Who? Really? Cares?

It seems that Ang’s family made her funeral about them and not about celebrating her life and all the people in it.

Not true at all but Karen’s father had most of the people at the funerals father/family member killed and Brittany’s father cooperated it wasn’t about themselves it was about keeping it peaceful

  • I never once saw this show, and I don’t have any idea who Brittany is, but I have to say it is refreshing to see a thin woman who doesn’t have double G breast implants. And, she is standing so proud of herself. What a pretty girl. It has long been an epidemic, young women thinking that huge boobs are the only way to go. Since it is touted as something the women do for men, not all men like big huge boobs. They aren’t just saying it to make their woman happy either.

Maybe Big Ang herself said she didn’t want Brittany there. Sounds like Big Ang planned her own funeral so maybe this was at her request too.
