Bravo Responds To Real Housewives Of Miami Cancellation Rumors!

rhom

Ever since Bravo announced their lineup of new summer shows, rumors are circulating about The Real Housewives of Miami being canceled. Even before the list of shows were revealed for renewal, many were certain RHOM wouldn’t be coming back due to poor ratings. A rep from Bravo spoke with Wetpaint, and here’s what they had to say about the show

“Nothing has officially been decided yet either way.”

They don’t really sound too confident. I think RHOM should definitely be worried, considering RHOBH already got renewed for season 5, and their season just ended. Do you guys what to see RHOM return?

    I hope they come back!!!

I find the women on RHOM hard to relate to. I watch it but I don’t necessarily enjoy it.

WAVE GOOGBYE TO MIAMI. THE SHOW HAS NOTHING OF INTEREST.

AS A PREVIOUS SITED START A BEW ONE LIKE DALLAS, HOUSTON, L.A. WHICH MIGHT RIVAL BH.

HAVENT WATCHED LAST YEARS SO I AM NOT UP TO DATE, BUT I DID NOT WATCH BECAUSE THERE IS NO ONE ON THE SHOW THAT IS INTERESTING.

SOME MENTIONED ELSA IS IT? I THOUGHT SHE WAS A FRUIT . BUT SHE WAS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE AFRAID TO SHOW THEIR AGE, AND NOW LOOKS LIKE A FREAK.

IF YOU THINK I AM HARSH ABOUT THAT OLD NUTTY LADY FINE. WHO WOULD CHANGE SHOES EITH HER? IT IS NOT ME WHO HAD HER GO TOOOO MANY TIMES TO A DR. FOR FACIAL WORK, I AM POINTING OUT YHE OBVIOUS .

GOOD BYE, GOOD RIDDENCE TO MIAMI.

    BROVO, ARE YOU HEARING US?

  • Jesse

OH GOD!! please Cancel it!! its so stupid. I never watch it bc it doesn’t even look appealing. bring on a new city

  • AndrewKozma

NO ! The Show really is good, I mean it gets physical and all, it’s fun, Bummed about DC cancellation though ratings were much better, but they can revive the show and get new housewives to stir it up !
Miami is a beautiful city, we need season 4 !!

  • Mary

Reading what others have said about dropping this boring show and adding on like Dallas would be pretty cool. Maybe I’m reflecting back to the tv show Dallas I don’t know.

Drop them. The comments your people make are spot on. You have a good group here.

  • Mary

Let them go. I don’t like any of them, nor their story lines. Boring.

Stopped watching it last year, so I’m not up to date. Just can’t get interested.

    Bye bye, let it go

  • Dice77

    Cancel miami please. It sucks.

  • ThatOtherChick

The fact that RHOM wasn’t announced that it was renewed with the other Bravo shows pretty much sealed the deal, at least for me anyway, that RHOM is done for.

I made this comment on another website, and I’m gonna repeat it here: the face of the matter is, the women on RHOM just aren’t likable or entertaining.

Lea, Lisa, Ana and Marysol are just so boring; Adriana causes drama, but it’s not entertaining; Joanna is only useful when she’s fighting with someone, but other than that, she’s boring (Which is why I think maybe having her on RHOBH isn’t the best idea– she’ll only be useful when she’s fighting with Brandi, but she isn’t interesting on her own); Alexia has become just repulsive the way she makes excuses for her son, Peter.

Now, you compare that cast to RHOA, where nearly all the cast is entertaining and have colorful personalities (Well, except for Cynthia and maybe Porsha. I think both of their times on the show is up, and need to be replaced), and the early seasons of RHONY where everyone was unique (Jill is THE ultimate Queen Bee, LuAnn is haughty, Ramona is nuts, Bethenny was hardworking and fun, Kelly was a complete mental case, and Sonja and Alex… well, they were them. Seriously, if any HW should have been axed for this season, it should have been Sonja).

That’s where RHOM, and I would argue RHOC and recently RHOBH, have failed; they just don’t have an entertaining cast of varying and different personalities (Which is why, combined with the horrible attempts for drama, that they aren’t doing well in the ratings).

I couldn’t stand this show. Leah Black was the only one who was without a foreign background and she was a total snob and fake. Joanna was a joke and her background would make a hooker blush. The rest were ridiculous and pretentious and I don’t agree that Mama Elsa was amusing. She was sad and pathetic and turned herself into a freak. Elaine was ridiculous too and if I wanted to watch drag queens I’d watch Rue Paul’s show. Those women seemed to be bored out of their minds and in turn, they bored everyone else. I say bring back DC with a new cast and some current events. D is an exciting city full of intrigue and they must have some interesting HW’s living there.

What’s wrong with Bravo,? I have to say not a big fan of Miami so I could careless if they dumped it , but really then they go and give that Manzoid family a show? I would rather sit and watch all the Miami and DC shows back to back then ever watch Manzoid show. Since it’s Caroline’s show maybe the Gospel channel should have picked it up since all she does is preach.

  • James

I do want to see it come back. I think they have the most beautiful women of all the housewives shows and I love Adrianna and Alexia most of all.

  • Chanel

I actually like Miami, I just feel like the story lines seem extremely forced and the whole vibe surrounding the show just feels unauthentic. Miami just really doesn’t have anything that makes viewers want to connect.

    New Jersey: Family aspects/values
Beverly Hills: Wealth / classiness(well atleast it used to be)
Atlanta: Women are relateable and entertaining.

    ect…..

  • RHObsessed

I love RHOM! Especially Lisa and Marysol (even though she’s just a “friend”).

I really hope it is renewed as I watched all three seasons back to back a month ago as it was the one city I hadn’t watched yet.

I really enjoyed it, so I hope Bravo renew it!

  • mtrae9

It was not my favorite Bravo show, so I really don’t care if it is renewed or not. I also would not miss any of these ladies.

  • samael

What is the use of a Bravo press release of the “new” line up – if the rep contradicts their own press release….uh oh…and these people are in charge…yikes.

  • Panda Bear

I actually liked Miami. They had some legit rich bish women. I think Bravo has gotten into this drama is everything cycle when that’s really not needed. Miami is a gorgeous city that is also very culturally diverse. Even the food culture is something that doesn’t exist elsewhere.

They honestly could have and probably should have taken a more meaningful fieldtrip by Bravo to Brazil or Columbia since they have women from there. I would have even wanted to learn more about the Cubans, when their families left, how Cuba used to be. Heck go to Poland something. Rich, beautiful women tearing each other down just isn’t my idea of must see tv. There was no balance.

I feel like the women of Miami have some of the strongest back stories but they didn’t do much with that.

    • Maru the Cat

Panda Bear – love your idea that it would be fun if they visited other countries, like how Shahs went to Turkey! Wonder if they could go to Cuba with our current political standing? Yes, why not Brazil or Columbia. I don’t think it would make sense to go to Poland for just Joanna. I want the Latin flavor for this franchise.

  • kgleakes

I’ll be pissed if they canceled I watch Miami more than in new York franchise I think they should keep the same wives and add like 2 new ones

  • Rach

I actually really like Miami. I don’t know why this show doesn’t seem to be catching on. The first season was horrendous, but after the cast change season 2, I found the show to be really good. I hope it comes back.

  • Why Are You Buying Into This?

As much as I love Miami… if cancelling this one makes room for a new cast, city… then I’m all for it.

  • kf

    Nope

  • Lapband Lauren

I want them to come back. Theres so much REAL drama between them and I would love to see the dynamics of things since no one really hangs out with HOana except Lea (barely) I can do without that famewhore if it returned. Its a city full of beautiful women PLEASE pick someone who actually resides in Miami unlike JOana PLEASE.

  • shaw

Personally i think it’s time for a new franchise like the real housewives of dallas I’d love that!

    • CallingOutHousewives

Real housewives of Vegas, i would love that ????

      • CherylTN

I agree w both of you.

I wouldnt mind Chicago even with a more diverse, racial cast.

  • michers

Nah.. I can do without Miami. It never really was a top one for me. I think season one was good, not great and the others have been blah.. They did away with DC and Miami should have been done as well. Eventually all franchises start running the same way anyway so essentially, they could all be done soon. ( some sooner then others)

    • lipojaq

i only found it entertaining with mommy elsa. i saw the phony that is adriana since the first season. and the last season just stank too much coz of joanna’s …..

  • Just me

Miami seemed to show a bit more of the glamour & lifestyle like RHBH does than the other shows. For that reason I would like to see it return. I like seeing the charity events & the fashion. I like Lea, & Lisa alot. What I don’t like is how nasty things got with Adrianna & JoAnna, it just was so crass & unnecessary. If they could clean this show up a bit I would like to see it return. Maybe replaced a couple of them with newer more real & glamourous HW that actually live the lifestyle, like Lea & Lisa do. Showcase Miami, its such a beautiful city.

    • Maru the Cat

Just me – ITA with your comments! I love seeing their city/locations, the clothes/shopping and the charity events provide a reasonable story line for the ladies. Totally agree they need to clean up the petty fights, not into Joanna’s intense anger or lack of sex life etc. And I love Mama Elsa, she gave some fantastic comedy to lighten the mood.

    • Hopeful

      I agree 100% Just me

  • TomI

I don’t know why but I love Miami and would miss it. Last year, like Beverly Hills, the women got stuck in old minutia. It just wasn’t much fun. The dueling wedding telenovena story just didn’t work. Also, i hate when this franchise forgets that the featured city is also a character. Also, the second banana characters were pretty much MIA (Marta, Daysy, Elaine…) and they did bring a lot of odd charm to the show. Fewer housewives, fewer side characters… It was trying to make more out of less in season 3. I don’t think it would be difficult to turn the show around. I would add a couple of women who are committed to having fun (not just creating fake drama) and (I kind of hate to say it) relocate Jill Zarin down to Miami to mix it up. Her parents live down there so a storyline could easily be manufactured. MAKE IT HAPPEN, ANDY!!!

  • Cesar

I am sad if they do not come back. These ladies are vicious and entertaining! Miami and Beverly Hills have been my favorite cities along with Orange County. The only reason I believe it hasn’t worked out it is because of the first season. It was just horrible and boring and thanks to that it really threw off a lot of people. Another mistake I believe they made was bringing Alexia back. They should fire her and hire two more ladies and keep the rest.

    • Tate

I Agree I like Alexia but in all honesty she’s a wet blanket they need to just face the facts and get rid of her and bring on two new dramatic housewives with a lot of sass and attitude. I really hope they get a Season 4 and if they do they need to bring on New Housewives.

  • Hopeful

    I like Miami ..

    It’s such a beautiful city

They need to showcase the city more

I like Lisa and Adrianne and pretty much everyone on the show

Joanna may be the exception… She is a snake

    I want Miami back

    • michers

Hey Hopeful. I agree about the city and showcasing it but it gets lost in the sauce with the petty nonsense . On top of that its not supposed to be a tourist attraction show- its about HW’s and these ladies kind of ruined the concept.

  • ScottyBman

I watch them all except Miami, just never got into that one. I even watched DC.

    • ThatOtherChick

It still boggles my mind to this day that RHODC got cancelled, yet RHOM has gotten even worse ratings than DC ever did, yet Miami now has three seasons. If RHOM gets renewed, it’ll just really annoy me even further, since this last season of Miami has gotten some of the worst ratings ever in RH history.
